Financial Connections TechOps Manager
Who we are
About Stripe
Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies—from the world's largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups—use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone's reach while doing the most important work of your career.
About the team
Stripe's Financial Connections group is building technology that expands the scope of problems we tackle beyond card payments. We aspire to enable individuals and businesses to securely share their financial data to improve their product experiences. With more high-quality customer financial data, both Stripe and our users can offer better products to their customers. We have ambitious goals to enable all global businesses to run their entire financial life cycle on Stripe, and we want you to be part of our story.
Technical Operations roles in Financial Connections are a dynamic and critical component of the organization's success. As Financial Connections TechOps Manager, you will lead a team of Integration Reliability Engineers who sit at the intersection of product and platform engineers, financial partners, and AI automation. Your role is to ensure that nothing is lost in translation: setting the standard for how the team operates, where it invests, and how the operational backbone of Stripe's open banking ecosystem stays reliable at scale.
What you'll do
Lead integration reliability and partner operations
- Own the health of Financial Connections' banking integrations at the team level—define what "reliable" looks like across the partner ecosystem, set the operational bar, and hold the team to it
- Serve as the management escalation point for complex partner issues, coordinating across financial partners, Stripe engineering, and product leadership with urgency and clear accountability
- Drive strategy for integration health: set SLOs, own the operational metrics that surface risk before it becomes an incident, and ensure the team's priorities reflect the actual risk landscape
- Prioritize the integration backlog in partnership with your team—new partner launches, reliability improvements, partner-driven technical changes—balancing operational urgency against longer-term investment
- Sustain technical relationships with key financial partners at the leadership level, including commercial alignment, escalation frameworks, and forward-looking roadmap coordination
Shape the agentic automation strategy
- Set direction for how the team applies LLM-powered agentic workflows to high-volume operational work—making deliberate choices about where automation creates leverage and where human judgment must remain in the loop
- Partner with product and platform engineering to ensure agentic tooling investments are appropriately scoped, shipped reliably, and measurably reduce toil for the team over time
- Build your team's capability to design and operate Human-in-the-Loop review systems—ensuring automation is deployed with the right safeguards, risk calibration, and operational ownership
- Identify the manual, high-volume process categories that are ripe for elimination and sequence the work to deliver compounding leverage, not one-off fixes
Build and grow the TechOps function
- Hire, onboard, and develop a team of TechOps Integration Reliability Engineers—your most important output is a highly capable, well-coached team that is genuinely energized by the mission
- Build a team culture that values deep technical ownership, urgency and discipline in incident response, and a bias toward eliminating entire classes of problems rather than just resolving individual instances
- Serve as the operational bridge between Financial Connections engineering leadership, partnerships, compliance, and legal—surfacing the team's needs and translating partner and regulatory requirements into clear engineering priorities
- Represent TechOps in cross-functional planning cycles: make the operational implications of product decisions visible, advocate for reliability investments, and ensure the team's contributions are understood and valued across the org
Who you are
We're looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.
TechOps EM roles require a genuine command of both the people side of management and the technical domain. You need enough depth to evaluate your team's work credibly, set and hold a high bar for quality, and earn trust with financial partners and internal engineering partners alike. Successful candidates bring a track record of leading operational teams in complex, integration-heavy technical environments—and find genuine satisfaction in building a team and a function beyond solving individual problems.
Minimum requirements
- Minimum 3+ years of people leadership experience in a TechOps team
- Demonstrated people management experience with clear evidence of the fundamentals: coaching individuals to do their best work, navigating performance conversations, hiring well, and building a team that functions at a high level. Minimum 3 years of people leadership experience managing a TechOps team.
- Hands-on technical experience depth to lead the team's work credibly: you actively read and write code, investigate integration failures end-to-end, query data to scope and diagnose issues, and evaluate the quality of your team's technical decisions and output
- Operational leadership experience: you've owned production reliability, incident command, and operational programs in a complex technical environment; you know how to build escalation paths, define SLOs, and drive urgency without creating unsustainable conditions for your team
- Experience managing technical partner or vendor relationships at a leadership level: you've been the accountable point of contact for external parties and have navigated escalations, roadmap alignment, and commercial considerations
- Strong written and verbal communication calibrated to both technical and non-technical audiences, including the ability to represent the team's priorities and operational posture to engineering and business leadership
- Instinct to build leverage at the team level: you think about eliminating classes of problems through automation, tooling, and process—not just solving what's in front of you
- Experience building or overseeing agentic or LLM-powered workflows in a production environment: either as a practitioner or as a manager who has led teams doing this work at meaningful scale
Preferred qualifications
-
- Deep familiarity with open banking, financial data aggregation, or payments partner integrations: you understand the failure modes, the partner ecosystem dynamics, and the regulatory and compliance context that shapes this work
- A track record of building TechOps or operations engineering teams: you've defined role shapes, built the hiring pipeline, leveled candidates, and grown a team from a foundational state
- Demonstrated ability to influence engineering roadmaps: you've successfully advocated for reliability investments, partner integration work, or operational tooling and driven those priorities into planning and execution cycles

Senior Web Engineer, Marketing
The world of digital assets is accelerating in speed, magnitude, and complexity, opening the door to new ways for leveraging the blockchain. Fireblocks’ platform and network provide the simplest and most secure way for companies to work with digital assets and it trusted by some of the largest financial institutions, banks, globally-recognized brands, and Web3 companies in the world, including BNY Mellon, BNP Paribas, ANZ Bank, Revolut, and thousands more.
About the Role
The way most marketing teams build on the web hasn't changed much in over a decade. We think there's a better way, and we're ready to find it.
We're hiring a Senior Web Engineer to help us rethink web production from the ground up. You'll bring deep technical judgment, a creative approach to problem solving, and the drive to build systems that make the entire organization faster and more capable. You'll assess what we have today, make smart bets on what should evolve or be replaced, and own the execution.
You'll be joining a collaborative, high-energy marketing team in one of the fastest-moving industries in tech. We're genuinely excited about what's becoming possible with modern AI and development tooling, and we want someone who shares that energy. The decisions you make will shape how our marketing and content teams operate for years to come.
What You'll Do
- Evaluate and evolve the stack. Our site is built on WordPress and Gutenberg today. You'll maintain and improve what we have while actively re-assessing the foundation, and charting the path forward.
- Build systems, not just pages. Design reusable infrastructure, templates, and workflows that empower the marketing team to launch and update pages independently.
- Partner closely with designers and stakeholders. Collaborate early and often to turn design files and business requests into practical, scalable web solutions. Push back constructively when there's a better path.
- Translate business needs into technical approaches. Take ambiguous or high-level requests and turn them into solutions that balance speed, accessibility (WCAG), performance (Core Web Vitals), SEO/GEO, and maintainability.
- Embed AI into how we work. Use AI tools across your own workflow and introduce repeatable AI-powered processes that accelerate web production.
- Own delivery end to end. Scope and estimate work, communicate realistic timelines, and keep stakeholders informed on progress and tradeoffs.
- Keep the site healthy and fast. Ensure pages are performant, responsive, accessible, secure, and cross-browser compatible.
What We're Looking For
- Deep front-end and architectural range. Strong HTML, CSS/SCSS, JavaScript (modern ES), and React. Solid experience with headless or API-driven architectures, and enough WordPress and Gutenberg depth to operate in our current environment while evolving it (including custom post types, taxonomies, hooks, the REST API).
- Experience working with security teams and managing sites through WP Engine or similar managed hosting platforms.
- You've changed how a web team operates, not just contributed to one. You have examples of systems, decisions, or architectural shifts and migrations you handled independently.
- You actively use AI-powered development tools like Cursor, v0, Bolt, or Claude in your daily work and have a point of view on how they can reshape web production workflows.
- You build for scale. Component libraries, templates, documentation, guardrails. The goal is a team that moves independently.
- Strong project management instincts and communication across disciplines. You scope, prioritize, communicate timelines, and manage a varied workload.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and change. You bring options and recommendations, not just questions.
For employees hired to work from our NYC HQ, Fireblocks is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This range is specific to New York City, and takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are reviewed when making a hiring decision, such as years of experience, skills, and other business needs.
It is not typical for a candidate to be hired at or near the top of the pay range and each compensation decision is dependent on each individual case. Staff Data Scientist, Pricing
Since we opened our doors in 2009, the world of commerce has evolved immensely, and so has Square. After enabling anyone to take payments and never miss a sale, we saw sellers stymied by disparate, outmoded products and tools that wouldn’t work together.
So we expanded into software and started building integrated, omnichannel solutions – to help sellers sell online, manage inventory, offer buy now, pay later functionality, book appointments, engage loyal buyers, and hire and pay staff. Across it all, we’ve embedded financial services tools at the point of sale, so merchants can access a business loan and manage their cash flow in one place. Afterpay furthers our goal to provide omnichannel tools that unlock meaningful value and growth, enabling sellers to capture the next generation shopper, increase order sizes, and compete at a larger scale.
Today, we are a partner to sellers of all sizes – large, enterprise-scale businesses with complex operations, sellers just starting, as well as merchants who began selling with Square and have grown larger over time. As our sellers grow, so do our solutions. There is a massive opportunity in front of us. We’re building a significant, meaningful, and lasting business, and we are helping sellers worldwide do the same.
The Role
The Data Science team at Block turns insights from our unique datasets into actions that improve the customer experience every day. In this role, we're looking for a Data Scientist to own the modeling and experimentation at the core of how Square prices globally. You'll build the elasticity and willingness-to-pay models, design and run the pricing experiments, and stand up the analytical infrastructure that makes pricing measurable and controllable — shaping pricing strategy and deal-desk automation through the models and experiments you build.
You Will
- Model price elasticity and willingness-to-pay across segments, geographies, and payment methods, and quantify the trade-off between margin, conversion, and merchant retention
- Design, run, and read out pricing experiments (A/B, difference-in-differences, and bandit-based dynamic tests) and translate results into recommendations that shape strategy
- Decompose merchant economics across interchange, scheme, and risk-cost layers to identify where pricing can flex and where it can't
- Build the pricing intelligence that powers Square's agentic deal tooling (DealBot) — rate recommendations, ROI and pre-approval logic, guardrail configurations, and mispricing detection — so quotes are fast, accurate, and within guardrails at scale
- Evaluate and monitor the AI systems you ship — pre-deployment testing for accuracy, boundary and edge cases, and bias in rate recommendations, and in-production monitoring for accuracy, drift, and mispricing — so agentic pricing tools stay reliable as the business changes
- Own end-to-end execution across the stack — analysis, pipeline, ETL, experimentation, and visualization
- Approach problems from first principles, using a variety of statistical and modeling techniques to understand customer behavior and price response
- Build and maintain the pricing analytics the team relies on — price realization, margin leakage, discount-waterfall, and win/loss analyses — as self-serve dashboards and curated datasets
- Measure the impact of AI-driven pricing automation with causal methods (interrupted time series, difference-in-differences) on deal velocity, quote acceptance, and margin
- Write code to process, cleanse, and combine data sources into curated ETL datasets easily used by the broader team
- Partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders across Finance, Risk, Product, and go-to-market teams, translating complex technical and AI concepts clearly for non-technical audiences
You Have
- A bachelor degree in statistics, data science, economics, or similar STEM field with 7+ years of experience in a relevant role OR a graduate degree in statistics, data science, economics, or similar STEM field with 5+ years of experience in a relevant role
- Fluency in causal inference and experimentation, with hands-on experience modeling price elasticity or willingness-to-pay
- Prior exposure to a pricing-adjacent domain a strong plus — risk-based pricing (payments, lending, insurance), pricing science, or deal pricing analytics
- Advanced proficiency with SQL and data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Looker, etc)
- Experience with scripting and data analysis programming languages, such as Python or R, including using them to evaluate AI system behavior
- Gone deep with cohort and funnel analyses, with a solid understanding of statistical concepts such as selection bias, probability distributions, and conditional probabilities
- Comfort leveraging AI tools to accelerate modeling and analysis, and a working understanding of generative AI architectures — LLMs, RAG systems, and agentic AI; experience building, testing, or evaluating LLM-powered systems in production a strong plus
Technologies We Use and Teach
- SQL, Snowflake, etc.
- Python (Pandas, Numpy)
