You will own Ramp Canada's AML/ATF compliance program end‑to‑end, acting as the MLRO, filing suspicious transaction reports, overseeing daily transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, risk assessments, and compliance training, and serving as the primary liaison with FINTRAC and banking partners.
The role requires 8+ years of financial‑services compliance or AML experience—preferably in fintech or a money‑services business—with deep knowledge of FINTRAC regulations, proven regulator and bank partner interactions, AI fluency, and a track record of building AML programs from the ground up.
This position safeguards Ramp’s Canadian entity from financial crime, ensures regulatory compliance, and enables the company to expand its high‑velocity payment services while maintaining trust with regulators and partners.
About Ramp
Ramp is building the smart infrastructure for finance teams, embedded in the transaction flow of every dollar a business spends. We automate how over $275B in annualized spend flows in and out of 85,000+ companies: authorizing payments, flagging risk, categorizing spend, and closing books.
The problems are high-stakes, data-dense, and unforgiving.
We hire people with high agency and high urgency. We look for slope over intercept. We care less about where you trained and more about what you’ve built. At Ramp, everyone is a builder who owns problems end to end and makes consequential decisions that shape the outcome.
The median Ramp customer saves 7.5% and grows revenue 16% in their first year – far in excess of businesses operating without Ramp. We believe every ambitious company deserves the same.
If you want to build systems that directly shape how companies move and manage billions, Ramp is the place to do it.
About the Role
Ramp is seeking an experienced Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) for its FINTRAC-registered Money Services Business entity. Under the Proceeds of Crime (Money Laundering) and Terrorist Financing Act and its Regulations, this role is the legally-appointed compliance officer responsible for implementing RBCC's AML/ATF compliance program and for reporting suspicious transactions to FINTRAC. This is a standalone, high-accountability compliance leadership role: you will own Ramp Canada’s AML program end to end, act as the primary point of contact for FINTRAC and Ramp’s financial partners in the region, and serve as the gatekeeper protecting Ramp's Canadian entity from financial crime.
