The 20 Fintech Employers With the Most Open Roles, and What Each Is Hiring For

Stripe has the most open roles of any fintech employer in the Finjobsly panel, with 781 on 21 October 2026, but the 20 largest employers hire in very different ways. Toast is mostly sales, Affirm is mostly engineering, Block and Ramp are almost entirely remote, Brex is almost entirely in an office, and pay disclosure ranges from 89% of roles at Affirm to 3% at Stripe. This guide profiles all 20 using live job data across 4,207 active roles.

Key findings

  • The 20 largest employers hold 3,677 of the 4,207 active roles, or 87.4% of the panel.
  • Affirm is the most engineering-heavy, with 136 of 218 roles matching engineering and data titles (62%). Toast is the most sales-heavy, with 219 of 341 (64%) matching sales, partnership and customer success titles.
  • Pay disclosure is highest at Affirm (89%), Chime (88%) and Coinbase (87%) and lowest at Stripe (3%), Nubank (7%) and Checkout.com (9%).
  • Nubank (93%), Monzo (87%) and Kraken (86%) have the most senior-skewed hiring among labelled roles.

Who are the 20 fintech employers with the most open roles?

Ranked by active roles on 21 October 2026, the list is Stripe (781), Toast (341), Brex (263), Adyen (244), Coinbase (227), Affirm (218), Block (209), Checkout.com (171), Ramp (169), Robinhood (156), Plaid (133), Tide (105), Nubank (98), Ripple (97), Gusto (96), Kraken (85), Carta (74), Mercury (74), Chime (69) and Monzo (67). The panel tracks 36 employers, so this is the top 20 of the companies Finjobsly covers and not of the whole sector. Stripe alone is 18.6% of all roles, so any panel-wide average leans on it. Which employers are engineering-led and which are sales-led?

Counting titles that match engineering, data science, machine learning, security and similar keywords, Affirm leads with 136 of its 218 roles (62%), followed by Coinbase with 100 of 227 (44%), Nubank 43 of 98 (44%), Chime 29 of 69 (42%) and Monzo 27 of 67 (40%). On the commercial side, Toast has 219 of 341 roles in sales, partnership, solutions and customer success titles (64%), Block 108 of 209 (52%) and Stripe 248 of 781 (32%). The groups overlap slightly and depend on keywords, so use them as a guide to the mix and not an exact split.

Risk and compliance titles are most concentrated at Adyen (44 of 244, 18%), Carta (23 of 74, 31%), Coinbase (32 of 227) and Stripe (73 of 781). Read the compliance jobs guide and the AI employers comparison for more.

At the other end, Gusto has 0 remote roles among 96, Ripple 2 of 97 and Brex 5 of 246, so those are office or hybrid employers. Stripe has 136 remote roles among 214 that state a work style, but 567 of its 781 roles do not state one. See the remote jobs guide.

Which employers are most open about pay?

Pay disclosure differs sharply. Part of this reflects local pay transparency rules, which we have not tested. Use the salary benchmark where an employer does not publish ranges.

Which employers hire the most juniors, and which skew senior?

Toast has 57 junior and internship roles, Stripe 54, Coinbase 35, Checkout.com 25, Block 19, Ramp 16, Brex 15 and Robinhood 14. Kraken, Ripple and Chime have none. See the entry-level guide.

How to choose among the top 20

  • Match your function to the mix. Engineers should start with Affirm, Coinbase, Nubank and Chime. Sales and customer success candidates should start with Toast, Block and Stripe.
  • Match your location preference to remote share, from fully remote at Plaid, Kraken and Mercury to office-based at Gusto and Ripple.
  • Use pay disclosure to prioritise. If you need a published range, Affirm, Chime and Coinbase are the easiest to compare.
  • If you are early in your career, look first at Toast, Stripe, Coinbase and Checkout.com, which have the most junior roles.

Methodology and data notes

Figures come from the Finjobsly tracked employer panel, which held 4,207 active roles at 36 employers on 21 October 2026. Function counts use keyword matching on job titles, so groups can overlap and a few roles may be misclassified. Remote shares use roles that state a work style, pay disclosure counts roles with a stated minimum, and seniority shares use roles with a seniority label. The panel covers the employers we track and not the whole market. Last updated: 21 October 2026. See the methodology page and fintech jobs.
