Channel Sales Support AgentNew

BlockLondon, United Kingdom
Full-timeNot specifiedAug 28, 2026

Since we opened our doors in 2009, the world of commerce has evolved immensely, and so has Square. After enabling anyone to take payments and never miss a sale, we saw sellers stymied by disparate, outmoded products and tools that wouldn’t work together.

So we expanded into software and started building integrated, omnichannel solutions – to help sellers sell online, manage inventory, offer buy now, pay later functionality, book appointments, engage loyal buyers, and hire and pay staff. Across it all, we’ve embedded financial services tools at the point of sale, so merchants can access a business loan and manage their cash flow in one place. Afterpay furthers our goal to provide omnichannel tools that unlock meaningful value and growth, enabling sellers to capture the next generation shopper, increase order sizes, and compete at a larger scale.

Today, we are a partner to sellers of all sizes – large, enterprise-scale businesses with complex operations, sellers just starting, as well as merchants who began selling with Square and have grown larger over time. As our sellers grow, so do our solutions. There is a massive opportunity in front of us. We’re building a significant, meaningful, and lasting business, and we are helping sellers worldwide do the same.

The Role

The Channel Sales Support Agent is the operational backbone for our independent contractor (IC) sales teams in the field. You'll be their go-to person—making sure they have everything they need to successfully sell and onboard our products to local sellers across the UK and Europe.

This isn't just a support role. You're enabling entrepreneurs to build their businesses, and their success is your success.

You're someone who

  • Thrives in fast-paced environments – You stay calm when things move quickly and priorities shift
  • Genuinely enjoys helping others succeed – You get satisfaction from unblocking problems and empowering people
  • Takes ownership – When you pick up a problem, you see it through to resolution
  • Shows up consistently – Your team knows they can count on you, every time
  • Takes initiative – You spot issues before they're escalated and act without being asked
  • Understands partnership – When your contractors win, you win
  • Brings positive energy – You're professional, approachable, and a pleasure to work with

What you'll be doing

Support & relationship-building

  • Act as the main point of contact for UK and Europe sales teams, responding to inquiries within agreed SLA timeframes
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with independent contractor sales teams
  • Provide product knowledge, pricing information, sales collateral, and technical guidance

Coordination & problem-solving

  • Work with internal teams across the business to resolve sales inefficiencies and remove blockers
  • Identify recurring problems and partner with management to implement lasting solutions
  • Provide phone and face-to-face support when needed

Operations & administration

  • Maintain and update sales documentation, playbooks, and resource libraries
  • Process commission calculations for UK and Europe sales teams in coordination with finance
  • Keep systems and information current so teams always have what they need

You have

  • 1–2 years in sales support, channel management, technical support/implementation, or customer service
  • Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar)
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace and AI tools
  • Familiarity with B2B sales processes and sales cycle management
  • Basic understanding of sales reporting and analytics

Preferred:

  • Experience working with self-employed contractors, distributors, sellers, or channel partners

Work environment:

  • Location: Remote-first (office optional)
  • Hours: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM (flexibility may be required)
  • Travel: Minimal (occasional attendance at sales meetings, training sessions, and contractor events)
  • Equipment: Computer, headset, and necessary software provided

Why this role matters

Our independent contractors are out there every day, building relationships and helping local businesses grow. You're the person who makes sure they're never stuck, never without answers, and always set up to succeed. If you love being the reliable force behind a winning team, this role is for you.

As our sellers grow, so do our solutions. There is a massive opportunity in front of us. We’re building a significant, meaningful, and lasting business, and we are helping sellers worldwide do the same.

The Role

Square is building a best-in-class, high-impact field sales organization, and we are looking for an exceptional Territory Account Executive — someone who consistently exceeds expectations, takes full ownership of their territory, and brings Square’s mission of economic empowerment directly to the businesses that need it most.

This is a field-driven, execution-focused role designed for individuals who thrive in dynamic, demanding environments. You will spend most of your week out in the market — meeting businesses, conducting live demos, and closing deals with confidence. The pace is fast, the expectations are high, and your ability to operate strategically and decisively will determine your success.

You will serve as Square’s presence and competitive advantage in one of our highest-opportunity markets — responsible for building pipeline from the ground up, elevating Square’s visibility in your community, establishing high-value partnerships, and helping local businesses grow through our ecosystem of industry-leading software and hardware.

If you are motivated by impactful work, driven to outperform, and eager to join a high-performance team with high standards, this role is built for you.

You will:

Lead your market with disciplined, in-person execution

  • Spend ~80% of your week in the field — walking your territory, engaging local businesses, and driving 50–60 targeted business visits each week.
  • Run a full-cycle, self-sourced sales motion: generate leads, identify needs, deliver compelling demos, and close deals across Square’s full product suite.

Establish yourself as the go-to Square expert in your city

  • Build strong, trust-based relationships with local sellers by being present, reliable, and value-driven.
  • Partner cross-functionally to ensure a seamless onboarding experience and fast time-to-value for new sellers.
  • Implement a disciplined referral strategy to turn every new customer into future opportunities.

Build a high-velocity pipeline from the ground up

  • Develop a repeatable top-of-funnel engine through door-to-door outreach, community engagement, events, networking, and targeted partnerships.
  • Work with channel partners to generate a consistent, high-quality referral stream that grows over time.

Master your verticals and sell with precision

  • Build deep expertise in key verticals — including restaurants, retail, and services — to diagnose challenges and position the right Square solutions.
  • Sell consultatively and competitively, staying proactive and strategic throughout the sales cycle.

Achieve exceptional results in a high-accountability environment

  • Maintain strong operational rigor in Salesforce: track activity, manage pipeline, and forecast accurately.
  • Measure performance frequently and improve continuously.
  • Consistently exceed quota within a culture where high standards are the norm.

You have:

  • 3+ years of sales experience in a full cycle closing role with field sales experience
  • Experience exceeding sales targets, selling a diverse ecosystem of products, and closing complex deals
  • Ability to drive deals independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Business development experience (e.g. hunting and cold calling)
  • Since this is a field position, you must have reliable transportation and live in the market you are serving
  • A collaborative and team player mentality
  • Prior Salesforce experience or equivalent
  • Even better:
    • 2+ years of payment processing OR related technology (i.e. payroll, loyalty, time management)
    • 1+ years of relevant audience experience (experience working in/selling to restaurants, retailers or services based businesses)

As our sellers grow, so do our solutions. There is a massive opportunity in front of us. We’re building a significant, meaningful, and lasting business, and we are helping sellers worldwide do the same.

The Role

Block is looking for a Director, GTM Planning to build and lead quota and capacity planning across Block's commercial sales organizations. This is the function that turns growth targets into actionable plans: how many sellers we need, what we ask them to deliver, and when we hire.

Your scope spans first-party sales (SMB through enterprise and field), third-party and channel sales (reseller and independent contractor motions), advertising and media sales, and Account Management roles with variable compensation. All of this cuts across Square and Commerce, covering new business, expansion, and retention motions.

You'll also own the hiring model for these organizations: the role mix, headcount requirements, hiring timing, and productive capacity needed to support the plan. Your work feeds directly into how Block invests in commercial growth. You will report to the Head of Revenue Strategy & Planning within the Revenue organization.

You Will

  • Build and own the planning capability end to end. That means the methodologies, systems, data, and processes needed to run quota, capacity, and headcount planning at scale. Measure whether plans are actually working. Lead external partners through the initial build.
  • Own the quota-setting framework for all commissionable roles, from initial target-setting through ongoing assessment. Build differentiated approaches that account for market potential, pipeline, book size, productivity, ramp, attrition, role design, product mix, and route to market.
  • Own the hiring model for the commercial sales organization. Define role mix, hiring timing, ramp assumptions, and productive capacity. Partner with Recruiting to turn requirements into execution.
  • Run scenario planning to evaluate overassignment, attainment distribution, capacity gaps, and investment tradeoffs. Bring clear recommendations to executive decision-makers.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to Sales and Finance leaders, translating growth goals into clear choices about quotas, capacity, role mix, hiring, and investment.
  • Partner with Compensation Design to align quota decisions with incentive structures, intended seller behavior, attainment expectations, and compensation economics.
  • Align Sales leadership, Finance, Strategy & Operations, and Recruiting around shared assumptions, decisions, and execution. Flag early when plans don't tie, and propose how to close the gaps.
  • Establish governance, decision rights, standards, and executive operating rhythms for planning approvals, in-year changes, and performance reviews.

You Have

  • 12+ years of experience in Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, GTM Strategy and Operations, Strategic Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience leading quota, capacity, and headcount planning across a complex, multi-segment sales organization.
  • Deep knowledge of quota methodologies, productivity and capacity modeling, ramp and attrition assumptions, overassignment strategies, and headcount planning.
  • Experience supporting multiple go-to-market motions: direct sales, channel/reseller, advertising or media sales, and account management across new business, expansion, and retention.
  • A track record of building governed, scalable planning processes with clear data, decision rights, and controls.
  • Advanced modeling skills and fluency with systems like Salesforce, Snowflake, Pigment, or Looker.
  • Strong executive communication and cross-functional influence.

Bonus

  • Experience in payments, fintech, or a consumption-based business model.
  • You've stood up a net-new planning function or capability from scratch before.
  • Exposure to territory design, coverage planning, or market sizing methodologies.

We’re building a significant, meaningful, and lasting business, and we are helping sellers worldwide do the same.

The Role

We are looking for a Director, Sales Compensation Operations to own the end-to-end operational engine behind how our go-to-market teams are credited, assigned quotas, and paid. This is a people-leadership role at the center of Sales, Finance, Revenue Operations, and Systems, where accuracy, timeliness, and trust are everything.

You will lead two core functions — crediting & quota operations and commission operations — ensuring every rep understands how they are measured and is paid correctly and on time.

You'll lead and grow a team of compensation operations professionals, setting the operating rhythm for how compensation runs at scale. You'll build repeatable processes and controls, drive automation where it improves accuracy and speed, and partner closely with senior Sales and Finance leadership to make sure our incentive programs are executed accurately. You will report to the Head of Revenue Strategy & Planning within the Revenue organization.

You Will

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team across business operations, crediting operations, data pipeline management, data quality and audit, process governance, and commission calculation. Set clear goals and operating cadences, invest in career growth, and get into the details when the work calls for it.
  • Oversee the end-to-end monthly and quarterly commission cycle, from crediting and quota data through calculation, validation, review, approval, and payout. Make sure comp plan policies are implemented accurately and every rep is paid correctly and on time.
  • Implement and operationalize the crediting rules and processes behind them. This includes quota issuance and rollup to leaders by role, executing credit rules, and processing mid-period adjustments across the go-to-market organization.
  • Own the data pipelines that move quota, crediting, and revenue data between systems such as Looker, Salesforce, and Pigment. Maintain the transformation logic that powers them, and research and resolve data issues when they arise.
  • Administer and improve our sales compensation tech stack: Pigment for ICM and quota issuance, and Salesforce as our system of record. Drive automation, data integrity, and scalability as the business grows.
  • Own data quality and audit for commissionable crediting data. Cure and reconcile source data before it feeds calculations. Maintain controls, documentation, and audit readiness.
  • Run process governance, exception review, and policy review. Handle edge cases at scale without creating a backlog. Identify what's breaking repeatedly and fix the root cause.
  • Partner with Sales Compensation Design, Quota Operations, Revenue Operations, Finance, and Sales leadership. Translate plan design into execution, support the rollout and validation of new and updated plans, and bring operational feedback into future design decisions.
  • Deliver reporting and insights on payout accuracy, cycle times, exceptions, and other operational KPIs. Flag risks early and use data to prioritize improvements.
  • Enable frontline sales teams to understand their compensation structures and plans, including how they are credited, measured, and paid, to build trust and transparency in the incentive program.

You Have

  • 12+ years of experience in Sales Compensation Operations, Sales Commissions, Revenue Operations, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of people leadership experience, with a track record of building, coaching, and scaling high-performing operations teams.
  • Experience operating complex compensation environments across multiple sales motions, roles, and revenue models.
  • Expertise administering an ICM / sales compensation platform (Pigment strongly preferred; Xactly, CaptivateIQ, Anaplan, Varicent, or similar) and strong hands-on comfort with Salesforce as a source system.
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage AI and automation tools to accelerate and improve the accuracy of calculation, reconciliation, reporting, and operational workflows.
  • Strong understanding of ETL pipelines and data flows between CRM, ICM, and financial systems.
  • Advanced Excel / Google Sheets skills and comfort with SQL. Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and operate controls, documentation, and audit-ready processes.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience partnering with Sales, Finance, and Revenue Operations leadership.
  • Ability to operate autonomously in a fast-paced environment where priorities shift.

Bonus

  • Experience in payments, fintech, or a consumption-based business model.
  • Hands-on experience building or directly managing ETL pipelines between comp systems.
  • You've migrated or implemented a commissions platform before.

Compensation Strategy & Program LeadNew

BlockBay Area, CA, United States of America
Full-timeNot specifiedAug 27, 2026

Block is one company built from many blocks, all united by the same purpose of economic empowerment. The blocks that form our foundational teams — People, Finance, Counsel, Hardware, Information Security, Platform Infrastructure Engineering, and more — provide support and guidance at the corporate level. They work across business groups and around the globe, spanning time zones and disciplines to develop inclusive People policies, forecast finances, give legal counsel, safeguard systems, nurture new initiatives, and more. Every challenge creates possibilities, and we need different perspectives to see them all. Bring yours to Block.

The Role

We are looking for a Compensation Strategy & Program Lead to join our team in an AI-first operating model—one where compensation rules, decisions, and reporting are increasingly encoded into automated workflows and self-service tools rather than handled case by case. As our primary compensation archetype, our Program Leads operate as internal product owners. Beyond hands-on partnership, they architect scalable frameworks, build self-service governance, and drive strategic total rewards programs across the company.

Working as part of a lean pod of peer Program Leads, you will take full ownership of major program pillars while collaborating closely on overarching compensation philosophy, automation initiatives, and data-driven tooling.

You Will

  • Own & Deliver Core Program Portfolios: Take strategic and operational ownership of assigned program pillars (e.g., focal cycles, equity architecture, salary structures, geo-pay, promotions, or specialized incentive frameworks), with the agility to evolve and rotate portfolio ownership over time.
  • Collaborate within the Program Lead Cohort: Partner with peers to ensure strategic alignment, a cohesive global philosophy, and unified program delivery across different business areas and lifecycles.
  • Build for Scalability & Self-Service: Work with Comp Ops and Data/Tooling to reduce manual triage by translating compensation rules into automated workflows, AI-assisted self-serve resources, and centralized reporting.
  • Establish Policy as Code & Governance: Design transparent guardrails and delegation-of-authority frameworks that empower managers and People partners to make confident pay decisions autonomously.
  • Serve as a Macro-Level Strategic Advisor: Advise senior leadership on talent market positioning, pay equity, and organizational design, prioritizing systemic improvements alongside the day-to-day

You Have

  • Program / Product Orientation: Proven experience designing, iterating, and scaling enterprise compensation programs end-to-end, in addition to strong frontline consulting instincts.
  • Cohort Collaboration & Autonomy: A high degree of independence in driving your portfolios, paired with strong cross-functional collaboration to maintain alignment across the team.

The Role

We are looking for a collaborative, curious operations professional with a passion for leading our Legal Innovation & Operations (LIO) team within our Counsel organization. We're looking for a strategic, detail-oriented builder to lead our team operations strategy from vision to execution. We will task you with solving problems, optimizing processes, and bringing the power of automation and AI into how our work gets done.

You Will

  • Lead the charge on defining and driving our legal tech strategy, including setting the vision, building the roadmap, and delivering tools that make our team faster, smarter, and more connected.
  • Oversee our suite of legal systems (like CLM, eBilling, knowledge management and workflow platforms), ensuring they're optimized, well-integrated, and aligned with how the business actually works.
  • Manage our core digital platforms, keeping them efficient, intuitive, and budget-conscious.
  • Partner across Legal, Policy, IT, Finance, Business Operations and beyond to evaluate and roll out technology and solutions that streamlines work and improves the experience for everyone who touches it.

  • Lead multi-quarter, cross-functional projects that push automation, AI, and data-driven insights deeper into how we deliver our work throughout the organization.
  • Help create operational excellence wherever opportunities exist.

You Have

  • 8+ years of experience in legal operations, tech strategy, or a related operations-focused role.
  • Experience leading automation or AI initiatives that drive measurable improvements.
  • Capacity for managing budgets, timelines, and stakeholders, with a sharp eye for detail and follow-through.
  • Adaptive communication methods, translating technical detail into clear business value.
  • A collaborative and curious mindset, unafraid to experiment or rethink how things are done.
  • Familiarity with platforms like DocuSign CLM or workflow automation tools (bonus points for hands-on implementation experience).
  • Experience building trust quickly and working well with everyone from senior leadership to individual contributors.

Global Enablement Program ManagerNew

BlockBay Area, CA, United States of America
Full-timeNot specifiedAug 27, 2026

Role

We’re looking for a Global Enablement Program Manager, who can bring to life the Afterpay and Cash App value propositions through our biggest channel: our people. You will have the opportunity to build a global Afterpay and Cash App enablement & training strategy that educates, supports, and grows our go-to-market teams across Sales, Account Management, Partnerships and Customer Success. You will own the program from the ground up, thinking about what matters most, how we best support our teams, and ultimately how we uplevel the skills of our people, to help them surpass their goals. In this role, you will truly have the opportunity to manage a program that is mission critical to our organization's ability to scale, hit goals, and develop top talent.

This is a global role focused on North America, the UK and APAC. You may start the day sending out communications to the US team on recent business updates, followed by an end-of-day training session with the Australian team on a tool refresh.

Responsibilities

You will develop a global enablement & training strategy that:

  • Educates teams on core value proposition, product launches, business updates and more.
  • Supports those teams with the tools to do their best work through training, use cases etc.
  • Grows the team’s capability with selling skills, opportunity frameworks, and continuous learning.
  • Is a builder when it comes to AI, both building tools and supporting teams to ensure our teams are utilizing all the skills available to them, to be successful in their role.

Day-to-day:

  • Own and manage our internal content platform, ensuring it is clean and up-to-date, and most importantly that our teams love and engage with us.
  • You’ll be the owner for this workstream end-to-end but you’ll collaborate closely with revenue leadership to identify and prioritize improvements to the ongoing sales skills program(s.).
  • Balance your time between facilitating training classes, program management responsibilities, and strategic planning.
  • Scale globally but think regionally: Take the time to understand the unique needs of each market and build a global enablement program.
  • Communicate across the business with product & business updates, including both email communication and live presentations.
  • Closely collaborate with the B2B content & other GTM functions to ensure their content is driving maximum engagement and utilization internally.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 5+ years of related experiences in sales, sales training, sales enablement, learning & development or a related field.
  • Well versed in learning methodologies and facilitation techniques, especially for a sales team.
  • AI-fluent with a proven track record of utilizing AI tools to scale programs.
  • Direct experience working within sales organizations.
  • Proven ability to manage a project from inception to completion in a well organized and professional manner.
  • Experience measuring and articulating the impact of L&D programs on bottom line sales performance.
  • A history of facilitating learning experiences through a variety of platforms (in-person / virtual lectures, experiential learning, asynchronous / on-demand).
  • Demonstrated experience partnering with and influencing key stakeholders to understand & synthesize the needs of a global sales organization and how various enablement solutions can move the needle.
  • Ability to execute and meet swift deadlines in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment.

The Role

We're building a team of standout sales leaders, the kind who raise the performance of everyone around them.

As a Sales Manager, you'll lead a team of Account Executives and own one of our most critical growth levers: developing talent that consistently outperforms. This role is about building a high-performance sales organisation where every hire raises the bar, every coaching conversation sharpens execution, and every decision is grounded in data. You'll bring the rigour, along with energy!

You'll be expected to coach in the work, not after it. You'll diagnose pipeline health before it becomes a forecasting problem, develop future leaders before promotions become necessary, and create an operating rhythm that enables predictable, repeatable growth.

You'll partner cross-functionally to improve how we sell, challenge the status quo, and continuously raise the talent bar across the organisation. Success is measured not only by quota attainment, but by the strength of your team, the quality of your pipeline, and the leaders you develop.

Build a High-Performance Team

  • Hire Account Executives who can run complex, multi-stakeholder deals, and raise the bar with every addition to your team.
  • Develop a culture of ownership, accountability, continuous learning and high standards.
  • Identify future top performers early and create development plans that accelerate their growth.

Co-Sell on Complex Deals

  • Sell alongside your team in discovery, business case development and negotiation on your most important pursuits.
  • Engage senior stakeholders directly, including owners, operations and finance, and help your team multi-thread rather than sell to a single champion.
  • Bring commercial judgment to pricing, deal structure and competitive displacement.
  • Advance the deal while leaving the AE more capable of running the next one without you.

Coach Through Data & Business Intelligence

  • Lead your business through rigorous pipeline inspection, forecasting and performance diagnostics.
  • Use leading indicators to identify performance gaps early and coach reps toward sustainable improvement.
  • Turn data into action by identifying trends, diagnosing root causes and driving measurable improvements across your team.
  • Forecast accurately on long-cycle deals, which depends on stage integrity rather than optimism.

Drive Operational Excellence

  • Establish predictable operating rhythms around forecasting, pipeline management and business reviews.
  • Build disciplined execution that creates consistent, repeatable revenue outcomes.
  • Continuously improve how your team sells by refining processes, simplifying execution and eliminating friction.
  • Build repeatable plays for how this segment is won, from implementation and expansion.

Lead Through Influence

  • Partner closely with Sales Leadership, Marketing, Enablement, Operations, Partnerships and Product to improve the customer journey and strengthen commercial execution.
  • Use customer insights and field intelligence to shape strategy and influence product evolution.
  • Lead through change by helping your team adapt quickly while maintaining high performance.

You Have

  • 6+ years experience as a sales manager, including time leading teams selling into complex, multi-stakeholder accounts with cycles measured in months
  • Experience hiring, ramping and retaining Account Executives who can run considered, competitive deals
  • Experience developing already strong performers into people who win larger and more complex deals
  • Proven track record in collaborating across different teams with the ability to inspire change
  • Leadership and coaching experience and a desire to help others be their best
  • Expertise in creating structure around sales metrics and managing yourself and others to achieve these metrics, including forecast accuracy on long-cycle deals
  • An understanding of how to refine decision-making and consider the downstream and upstream effects of potential decisions

We’re building a significant, meaningful, and lasting business, and we are helping sellers worldwide do the same.

The Role

At Square, we’re re-imagining how mid-market businesses grow. As an Account Executive on our SMB Market Team, you’ll bring Square’s ecosystem to new sellers across diverse industries by building, shaping, and closing your own pipeline. You’ll run sophisticated, multi-product deals from the first touch to final close — blending hunter instincts, consultative depth, and strategic execution.

If you’re an experienced closer who thrives in outbound environments, loves solving meaningful business challenges, and consistently delivers against ambitious targets — this is your role.

You Will

  • Own the full outbound sales cycle — from prospecting to negotiation to close — with SMB merchants.
  • Build and manage a high-quality pipeline through cold outreach, social selling, targeted campaigns, and creative outbound strategies.
  • Develop multi-product solutions across Square’s ecosystem and tailor them to each merchant’s unique needs.
  • Partner with Business Development on lead flow while independently driving net-new logo acquisition.
  • Conduct high-impact discovery, demos, and negotiations with decisiveness across multi-stakeholder deals.
  • Act as a consultant and trusted advisor — seamlessly flexing across BDR, AE, and AM responsibilities when needed.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, Implementation, and Operations to deliver cohesive solutions.
  • Maintain disciplined pipeline management and forecasting accuracy in Salesforce.
  • Consistently hit and exceed revenue goals — monthly and quarterly.

You Have

  • 1-2 years of full-cycle B2B sales experience with consistent quota achievement.
  • Proven success in outbound prospecting and net-new business creation (SaaS or fintech preferred).
  • Experience closing complex, multi-threaded deals
  • Ability to build pipeline from scratch using targeted, strategic outreach.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills across phone, video, and written channels.
  • Strong consultative selling skills — diagnose business challenges and map tailored solutions.

BlockBay Area, CA, United States of America
Full-timeNot specifiedAug 26, 2026

It all started with an idea at Block in 2013. Initially built to take the pain out of peer-to-peer payments, Cash App has gone from a simple product with a single purpose to a dynamic ecosystem, developing unique financial products, including Afterpay/Clearpay, to provide a better way to send, spend, invest, borrow and save to our 50+ million monthly active customers. We want to redefine the world’s relationship with money to make it more relatable, instantly available, and universally accessible.

Today, Cash App has thousands of employees working globally across office and remote locations, with a culture geared toward innovation, collaboration and impact. We’ve been a distributed team since day one, and many of our roles can be done remotely from the countries where Cash App operates. No matter the location, we tailor our experience to ensure our employees are creative, productive, and happy.

The Opportunity

The North American Sales team at Block is responsible for driving revenue to Block’s core businesses (Afterpay & Cash App) through commerce, giving our Merchant partners access to the largest and most engaged network of next generation consumers.

We are looking for a high-energy, dynamic, and strategic Account Executive to forge and expand Block’s relationships with mid-size brands, unlocking new revenue opportunities across our expanding portfolio of payments products. You will be on the front lines of a fast-growing payments business, responsible for leading commercial negotiations, with a goal of partnering with business owners and executives of high-growth companies.

A successful candidate should thrive in a challenging, fast-paced environment, have a passion for developing client relationships, and exhibit a strong sense of ownership to win new business for Block. You will have a demonstrated ability to operate with velocity, navigate ambiguity, think strategically and operationally about business, and partner closely with cross-functional teams to launch product and commercial initiatives.

We are much more than our job descriptions - we are our energy, our ideas, our everyday drive. Here’s where you will begin…

  • Be the Voice of Block: Represent Block to high-growth SMB & Mid-Market Merchants as a thought-leader in the payments landscape and demonstrate Block’s value as a growth driver for our prospective partners
  • Quarterback Deals: Be responsible for leading commercial negotiations and execution for the Block organization with a focus on partner alignment on opportunities of mutual interest, with a goal of optimizing revenue potential
  • Operate with Velocity: Utilize a high-energy, fast-paced approach to identify, negotiate, and close deals quickly and efficiently, while maintaining a focus on driving revenue and building long-term partnerships
  • Pipeline Management: Maintain a robust sales pipeline by utilizing CRM tools to track and forecast sales activities, ensuring a steady stream of business and accurate reporting
  • Craft Deal Strategy: Develop and pitch powerful sales narratives that educate prospective partners of Block’s value proposition. Effectively convey and communicate value to senior decision makers externally
  • Build Block’s Network: Develop and grow Block’s relationships with leading brands, including their senior executives
  • Be a Team Player: Partner closely with cross-functional teams to drive deals forward, including Marketing, Finance, Product, Risk, Legal, Operations, Customer Service; and with external partners’ cross-functional executives

Qualifications

Who are you? Like us, you’ll be obsessed with our product. You’ll be energized and inspired seeing and feeling the impact of your work as more people gain financial freedom and access across the globe.

You will have….

  • 4+ years experience in full sales cycle/closing role, preferably in a fast-moving technology company (financial services company experience strongly preferred but not required)
  • Demonstrated ability of meeting and exceeding sales targets
  • Strong operational acumen and ability to manage a high volume sales pipeline
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong executive presence, with demonstrated ability to influence and earn trust with senior leaders, ask the right questions, and use sound business judgment internally and externally
  • A self-starter mentality, where leaning in and wearing multiple hats in a fast-paced, often ambiguous environment is business-as-usual
  • A hunger to problem solve with analytical rigor. You’re a killer sales person and strategic thinker who comes armed to internal and external conversations with the right data and analysis to make a convincing argument.
  • Creative storytelling abilities, able to seek out relevant, meaningful data and build business cases to inform and successfully convey Block’s value proposition to prospective partners

Principal Designer, BankingNew

The role

We are looking for a Principal Designer to join the Cash App Banking team.

Banking is where Cash App becomes the place people actually keep their money. We design the core of that relationship: the Cash App Card, direct deposit, savings, Borrow, Cash App Green, Teens and Family accounts, physical Cash Tags, and bitcoin. These are the products customers touch every day and trust with the most consequential parts of their financial lives.

This is a hands-on principal role for a designer who sets the bar rather than describes it. You will own ambiguous, highest-stakes work: taking zero-to-one product ideas from a rough thesis to a shipped experience, and raising the craft standard on everything already in market. You will work across the whole surface, from the systems logic underneath a product to the last five percent of polish that makes it feel inevitable.

Banking design work is unusually constrained. Real money moves, regulation is real, and trust is the product. We are looking for someone who treats those constraints as the interesting part, and who can make something clear, warm, and distinctive inside them.

We are someone who is fluent with AI and prototyping tools and uses them to explore more, decide faster, and put working software in front of people early, without ever trading away craft.

You Will

  • Own complex, ambiguous Banking initiatives end to end, from early exploration through shipped product
  • Drive zero-to-one product experiences that are both strategically sharp and visually distinctive
  • Set and hold the quality bar for Banking design, defining what excellent looks like and demonstrating it in your own work
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, Risk, Compliance, and Research as a trusted peer, translating complex financial and regulatory logic into experiences people immediately understand
  • Prototype early and often, using AI and emerging tools to compress the distance between an idea and something people can actually use
  • Shape long-term product vision and design strategy across Banking surfaces, and influence what makes the roadmap
  • Contribute to and extend the systems and patterns Cash App is built on, strengthening cohesion across products
  • Elevate the designers around you through critique, feedback, and modeling high craft

You Have

  • 10+ years of product design experience, with a portfolio showing exceptional craft and systems thinking
  • A track record of shipping zero-to-one products, not only iterating on existing ones
  • Mastery of interaction, visual, and systems design, and the judgment to know which one a problem actually needs
  • Experience designing in complex, high-stakes domains where clarity and trust are non-negotiable. Fintech, banking, health, or another regulated space
  • Proven ability to operate autonomously through ambiguity, setting your own direction and bringing partners with you
  • Fluency with AI and prototyping tools, and a real point of view on how they change design practice
  • Strong influence and communication skills as a peer to cross-functional leadership
  • A hands-on posture. You still design, and your own work sets the standard

Mid-Market Account ExecutiveNew

BlockPittsburgh, PA, United States of America
Full-timeNot specifiedAug 26, 2026

The Role

At Square, we’re re-imagining how mid-market businesses grow. As a Senior Sales Account Executive on our Mid-Market Team, you’ll bring Square’s ecosystem to new sellers across diverse industries by building, shaping, and closing your own pipeline.

You Will

  • Own the full outbound sales cycle — from prospecting to negotiation to close — with mid-market merchants.

You Have

  • 5+ years of full-cycle B2B sales experience with consistent quota achievement.
  • Proven success in outbound prospecting and net-new business creation (SaaS or fintech preferred).
  • Experience closing complex, multi-threaded deals with longer sales cycles.
  • Ability to build pipeline from scratch using targeted, strategic outreach.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills across phone, video, and written channels.
  • Strong consultative selling skills — diagnose business challenges and map tailored solutions.
  • A hunter’s mindset — resilient, creative, and driven to win.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-first environment.
  • Advanced proficiency with Salesforce and modern sales tools.
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience.

People Intelligence ArchitectNew

BlockBay Area, CA, United States of America
Full-timeNot specifiedAug 26, 2026

Block is one company built from many blocks, all united by the same purpose of economic empowerment. The blocks that form our foundational teams — People, Finance, Counsel, Hardware, Information Security, Platform Infrastructure Engineering, and more — provide support and guidance at the corporate level. They work across business groups and around the globe, spanning time zones and disciplines to develop inclusive People policies, forecast finances, give legal counsel, safeguard systems, nurture new initiatives, and more. Every challenge creates possibilities, and we need different perspectives to see them all. Bring yours to Block.

The Role

We're looking for a cross-disciplinary builder to own how our people data ecosystem comes together — from raw pipelines to predictive models to the agentic workflows that put insight into action. This is not a traditional People Analyst role. You won't just answer questions with dashboards; you'll design and build the end-to-end system that makes People data trustworthy, intelligent, and increasingly autonomous.

This is a senior individual contributor role. You'll lead through technical depth and craft rather than headcount — designing architecture, writing production code, and setting the technical bar for how People data and AI work at our company.

You'll operate at the intersection of data engineering, data science, people analytics, and agentic AI — fluent enough in each to see how the whole system connects, and hands-on enough to build the connective tissue yourself.

You Will

  • Design, build, and maintain reliable data pipelines that unify people data across HRIS, ATS, performance, compensation, and engagement systems.
  • Model data for analytics and ML use, with a focus on quality, lineage, privacy, and governance of sensitive workforce data.
  • Build predictive and diagnostic models (attrition, hiring funnel health, org network analysis, compensation equity, workforce planning).
  • Translate ambiguous people questions into rigorous, defensible analyses — and translate results back into decisions leaders can act on.
  • Partner on our semi-annual employee engagement survey — from instrument design and data collection to analysis, driver identification, and turning results into actionable insight for leaders.
  • Design and deploy AI agents and automations that operationalize insight: monitoring signals, generating reports, drafting recommendations, and triggering workflows without manual effort.
  • Establish the guardrails, evaluation, and human-in-the-loop patterns that make agentic systems safe and trustworthy on sensitive data.
  • Own the architecture that ties pipelines, models, and agents into one coherent system — and continuously evolve it as tools and needs change.
  • Set the technical direction and standards for People data and AI, and raise the bar through code review, design docs, and mentorship of peers (leading by influence, not by managing a team).
  • Partner with People, Data Platform, Security, and Legal to ensure the system is compliant, scalable, and genuinely useful.

You Have

  • 8+ years of relevant experience
  • Proven experience building data pipelines (SQL, Python, dbt/Airflow or similar, cloud data warehouses).
  • Solid data science foundation — statistics, ML, experiment design, and the judgment to know when a simple model beats a complex one.
  • Working knowledge of people/HR data and the sensitivity, ethics, and nuance it demands.
  • Hands-on experience with LLMs and agentic frameworks — building automations, prompts, tool-use, and evaluation loops.
  • Strong systems thinking: you see how components connect and design for the whole, not just the part in front of you.
  • Excellent communication — you can explain a model to an executive and a workflow to an engineer

Even Better

  • Experience with people analytics platforms (Workday, Visier, etc.).
  • Background in organizational network analysis or workforce planning.
  • Experience deploying AI in regulated or privacy-sensitive environments.

Why This Role is Difference

Most companies split this work across three or four people who rarely talk to each other — an engineer who builds pipes, an analyst who makes charts, and a data scientist who ships models into a void. You'll own the whole system, and use agentic AI to make it more than the sum of its parts. This is a role for a senior builder who wants deep technical ownership and impact without stepping off the tools to manage a team. If you're energized by building intelligent systems on top of the most human data a company has, this is for you.

SMB Account Executive

BlockRaleigh, NC, United States of America
Full-timeNot specifiedAug 26, 2026

The Role

At Square, we're re-imagining how small and midsize businesses grow. As an Inside Sales Account Executive, you'll convert high-quality inbound leads into long-term customers — while also sourcing your own opportunities to keep your pipeline full. You'll be at the heart of our growth engine: fast-paced, data-driven, and motivated by results.

If you're a closer who thrives on momentum, loves solving problems for real businesses, and wants to work hard in a high-energy environment where effort translates directly into success — this is your role.

Square offers the opportunity to operate in a fast-paced outbound environment where your outreach brings Square's tools to more sellers - and your success becomes part of our mission to level the playing field for entrepreneurs. We move fast, learn continuously, and reward grit and results by offering uncapped earning potential.

You Will

  • Own the full sales cycle — from first conversation to close — with SMB merchants across a variety of industries.
  • Engage and convert a steady flow of warm inbound leads from marketing, partnerships, and product interest.
  • Supplement your pipeline with outbound prospecting: you know how to identify new opportunities, craft personalized outreach, and create demand where none existed.
  • Quickly qualify, demo, and close — you manage time and priorities effectively in a high-volume environment.
  • Understand customer pain points and deliver value-based, consultative solutions that drive measurable impact.
  • Collaborate across teams (Onboarding, Product, Marketing, and Support) to ensure a seamless customer experience and continuous feedback loop.
  • Track and forecast your pipeline accurately in Salesforce — you're data-driven and use metrics to improve performance.
  • Consistently hit and exceed monthly and quarterly revenue goals.

You Have

  • 2-5 years of inside sales or full-cycle closing experience, ideally in a fast-paced SaaS, payments, or SMB-focused environment.
  • Proven ability to exceed quota and close business in a high-volume, short-cycle motion.
  • Strong phone, video, and written communication skills — you build trust fast and move deals forward decisively.
  • A hunter's mindset - A hunter's mindset focused on disciplined outbound outreach, allowing you to build and accelerate pipeline independent of inbound demand.
  • Curiosity and empathy: you dig into the customer's business, uncover real needs, and position the right solution with confidence.
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguity — you're self-motivated, coachable, and hungry to grow.
  • CRM fluency (Salesforce or similar) and a data-driven approach to activity management.
  • A team-first attitude — you celebrate wins together, share learnings, and raise the bar for those around you.

Channel Sales Support Agent

BlockParis, France
Full-timeNot specifiedAug 20, 2026

Since we opened our doors in 2009, the world of commerce has evolved immensely, and so has Square. After enabling anyone to take payments and never miss a sale, we saw sellers stymied by disparate, outmoded products and tools that wouldn't work together. So we expanded into software and started building integrated, omnichannel solutions – to help sellers sell online, manage inventory, offer buy now, pay later functionality, book appointments, engage loyal buyers, and hire and pay staff. Across it all, we've embedded financial services tools at the point of sale, so merchants can access a business loan and manage their cash flow in one place. Channel Sales Regional Manager

Full-timeNot specifiedAug 20, 2026

About the role

The Channel Expansion Manager leads the delivery of our third party sales channels — Independent Consultants and Resellers — across international markets.

The role has two equally important halves. One is launching channels in new markets. The other is taking the channels we already have, many of them still immature and manually run, and making them streamlined and ready to scale. That second half means finding where a channel is breaking down, building the processes that don't yet exist, and fixing the operational problems that cap how fast a market can grow.

This isn't a planning role. You're the connective tissue between Channel Sales and every function expansion depends on — and you're judged on what actually ships.

Who you are

You're someone who:

  • Builds where there's nothing – You're a structured thinker who thrives in ambiguity and is comfortable designing a process from scratch
  • Ships and fixes – You take more satisfaction in landing a change than in writing the plan for it
  • Is commercially curious – You want to know what's driving the numbers, not just what the numbers are
  • Gets things done through others – You deliver through teams you don't manage, and you're good at it
  • Is tenacious – You'll chase, challenge, and push for a decision rather than wait for one
  • Operates independently – You're proactive and highly organised, and you don't need to be managed closely

What you'll be doing

Scaling existing markets

  • Own a portfolio of improvement programmes that take early-stage, manually run channels and make them scalable
  • Diagnose where a channel is breaking down using performance data, partner feedback, and frontline input — separating root causes from symptoms
  • Design, document, and implement the processes that don't yet exist across partner onboarding, deal registration, lead routing, escalation, and support handoffs
  • Remove the manual workarounds, bottlenecks, and single points of dependency that cap growth
  • Prioritise the improvement backlog by impact on partner productivity, revenue, and operational risk
  • Land changes properly: train the teams affected, document the new way of working, and confirm the fix has held

Launch delivery & market readiness

  • Run the end-to-end delivery of channel launches, translating expansion decisions into live sales channels
  • Turn agreed priorities into executable market plans with clear owners, milestones, dependencies, and dates
  • Turn the channel proposition into a market-ready go-to-market plan covering target partner profile, recruitment, onboarding, and enablement
  • Coordinate everything needed to go live — partner collateral, training, incentive mechanics, and support models
  • Close out market-specific regulatory, legal, and compliance requirements with Legal, Risk, and Compliance, including partner contracting and due diligence
  • Hand over cleanly to the teams running each market day to day, and feed learnings back into the global playbook

Operating model, systems & data

  • Work with Sales Support and Tooling to decide how the channel should run operationally — onboarding workflows, deal registration, quoting, commission and payout, contract administration — then partner with Sales Operations, Finance, and the regions to implement it
  • Define the reporting that gives leadership visibility of partner pipeline, activation, and productivity by market and channel, working with F&S and Data Science to build it
  • Surface risks to channel targets early, working with the regions who own their pipeline and forecast

Alignment & unblocking

  • Act as the single point of coordination for channel expansion across Product, Sales, Operations, Finance, Legal, Risk, Compliance, Marketing, and Enablement
  • Line up the stakeholders each programme depends on, secure their commitment, and hold them to agreed deliverables and dates
  • Identify blockers early, resolve them directly where you can, and escalate with a clear recommendation where the decision sits above you
  • Broker trade-offs between competing functional priorities, and communicate progress, risks, and results to senior stakeholders

Market analysis

  • Input into the analysis behind market-level pricing, commission structures, and incentive models with Channel Sales, Product, and Finance
  • Research market and competitor channel programmes, turning insight into decision-ready recommendations and business cases
  • Develop new ideas into briefs that frame the opportunity, the options, the commercial case, and your recommendation — to a standard that can go to GTM leadership

Your experience

Required:

  • Proven experience in sales operations, business operations, programme management, or channel-related roles
  • Demonstrated experience designing and implementing commercial processes from scratch, and improving processes that aren't working
  • A track record of diagnosing operational problems and delivering fixes that stuck — ideally somewhere scaling quickly or lacking existing structure
  • Ability to run multiple complex, cross-functional programmes concurrently and to a deadline

Preferred:

  • Strong commercial acumen and analytical skills, with confidence working across performance data and financial models
  • Experience supporting market entry or international expansion
  • Familiarity with channel sales models, partner programmes, or indirect distribution
  • Experience with commission, incentive, or partner payout processes
  • Experience in technology, payments, financial services, or platform-based businesses
  • Experience across multiple European markets, or across APAC and the US, and comfort working across time zones

Work environment & conditions

  • Reports to: Head of Expansion
  • Level: Individual contributor
  • Coverage: All third party channels — Independent Consultants and Resellers — across all markets
  • Location: UK Remote
  • Hours: Full-time, with flexibility required to work across time zones
  • Equipment: Computer and necessary software provided

Why this role matters

Every market we open and every partner we sign depends on someone making the channel actually work — the onboarding that doesn't stall, the deal registration that doesn't get lost, the launch that goes live on the date it was promised. That's this role. If you like walking into something half-built and leaving it running properly, this one's for you.

  • Be the Voice of the Merchant: Represent market feedback and sentiment internally, advocating for your clients while balancing against the needs and constraints of our business, by aggregating and delivering key insights across the organization in a structured, consistent, and proactive manner.

You have:

  • An obsession with our products and a motivation fueled by feeling the impact of your work as more consumers build financial wellness with Cash App & Afterpay
  • 12+ years experience in high-growth environments leading Mid-Market Sales, or Mid-Market Account Management organizations, preferably in a fast-moving technology or financial services company and experience working with large-scale established clients
  • Proven experience navigating and operating effectively within matrixed global organizations

  • Creative storytelling abilities, able to seek out relevant, meaningful data and build business cases to inform partners on Cash App and Afterpay’s value proposition
  • A scrappy and humble mindset, where toggling between team lead and in-the-weeds work is business as usual. You’re equally comfortable writing an annual plan as you are rolling up your sleeves to support one of your team members. You get the job done and inspire others to do so as well

Head of SMB Sales

BlockBay Area, CA, United States of America
Full-timeNot specifiedAug 20, 2026

The North American SMB Sales team at Afterpay and Cash App is responsible for driving revenue to our core consumer payments businesses, giving our Merchant partners access to the largest and most engaged network of next generation consumers.

We are looking for a strategic, analytical, and experienced Head of SMB Sales to build and scale a high-velocity, playbook-driven sales engine across a broad and growing base of small and medium-sized businesses, unlocking new revenue opportunities across our Buy Now Pay Later and Pay Now products. The SMB segment spans three motions: a BDR function that sources and books meetings for Account Executives, an Inbound motion serving our smaller, higher-volume businesses, and an Outbound-led motion focused on our larger, higher-growth SMB accounts. You will be responsible for orchestrating these motions into a single, cohesive system, and for the discipline, tooling, and processes that help generate pipeline and let the team convert and onboard merchants efficiently and at scale.

A successful candidate exhibits a strong sense of ownership to win new business for Afterpay and Cash App, and a demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity; think strategically and operationally about business, marketing and technical challenges; and lead cross-functional workstreams ultimately tied to pipeline creation and conversion. This role requires a strategic problem solver who is a rigorous operator and an effective influencer, comfortable balancing data-driven rigor with a strong bias for action and hands-on execution.

Beyond ultimately being responsible for revenue outcomes across our SMB merchant pipeline, spanning a broad range of industries across retail, fashion, beauty, travel, home and more in North America, you'll also be building and supporting a strong culture of performance.

The ideal candidate has demonstrated excellence in building and operating high-velocity sales motions at scale, leading and managing high-performing teams, and a dedication to continuous improvement.

You will:

  • Oversee the North American SMB Sales Team: Lead a multi-motion team spanning BDR, Inbound, and Outbound Account Executives. Build and continuously refine the playbooks, processes, and tooling that let the team convert and grow merchants efficiently at high volume, moving with a bias for action and iterating quickly based on data. Craft a segment-wide strategy and hold the team accountable to delivering on OKRs and revenue targets across each motion, in concert with the broader Sales & Account Management function at Afterpay and Cash App.
  • Build an A-Team: You will inherit a team of strong performers with relevant experience. Further develop their skills, knowledge, efficacy, and an overall team culture focused on performance and betterment, including coaching frontline managers to drive results through their own teams. Set an energetic, accountable tone for the North America sales organization, rooted in a strong sense of ownership and led with empathy over ego.
  • Develop Meaningful Cross-Functional Partnerships: Work closely with cross-functional teams to better support your team in generating revenue, including Marketing, Finance, Product, Risk, Legal, Account Management and more. You can influence without authority across teams and build the internal relationships required to navigate a distributed and matrixed set of stakeholders.
  • Own Sales Process and Methodology: Build and refine a repeatable sales approach that covers the full deal lifecycle — from discovery and qualification through articulating value, negotiating, and closing.
  • Drive Forecasting Rigor and Pipeline Hygiene: Implement best practices in forecasting accuracy and pipeline health, partnering closely with Finance and Sales Ops/Strategy to keep both sharp.
  • Define Ideal Customer Profile and Value Proposition: Shape and sharpen our ideal customer profile, key use cases, and value proposition, and centralize and socialize the sales and growth narratives that resonate most with SMB Merchants to inform our broader B2B marketing and sales strategy.
  • Be the Voice of Afterpay and Cash App: Represent the business to SMB Merchants as a thought-leader in the payments and Buy Now Pay Later landscape, and demonstrate Afterpay and Cash App's value as a growth driver for small and growing businesses.
  • Be the Voice of the Merchant: Represent market feedback and sentiment internally, advocating for your clients while balancing against the needs and constraints of our business, by aggregating and delivering key insights across the organization in a structured, consistent, and proactive manner.

You have:

  • An obsession with our products and a motivation fueled by feeling the impact of your work as more consumers build financial wellness with Afterpay and Cash App.
  • 12+ years of experience in high-growth environments leading SMB Sales, BDR, or Account Management organizations, preferably in a fast-moving technology or financial services company, with experience operating at high volume and velocity.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to develop talent, motivate high-performing teams, and build strong cross-functional relationships, including a proven track record of coaching and managing frontline managers to results. You put your people in the best position to succeed, and your management style is tailored to each individual to maximize their performance and engagement at work.
  • Experience standing up or scaling sales organizations from scratch — hiring, onboarding, and developing talent across BDRs, AEs, and frontline managers.
  • Demonstrated ability to build, operate, and continuously improve playbooks that scale across a large and growing team.
  • Experience working closely with Product and Marketing to drive conversion — improving self-serve sign-up, activation, and onboarding flows to convert more prospective merchants into active partners.
  • Strong presence with senior internal leaders, with demonstrated ability to influence and earn trust, ask the right questions, and use sound business judgment across the organization.
  • A demonstrated track record of leading teams that consistently drive revenue growth and exceed their revenue targets.
  • Comfort working with analytics and tools that support business performance measurement and management, particularly around forecasting, funnel, and pipeline conversion metrics at scale.
  • Creative storytelling abilities, ability to seek out relevant, meaningful data and build business cases to inform partners on Afterpay and Cash App's value proposition.
  • A scrappy and humble mindset, where toggling between team lead and in-the-weeds work is business as usual. You're equally comfortable writing an annual plan as you are jumping into a pipeline review to unblock a rep. You get the job done and inspire others to do so as well.

Head of Strategic Product Sales

BlockBay Area, CA, United States of America
Full-timeNot specifiedAug 20, 2026

The Role

Block is looking for an entrepreneurial sales leader to build and lead our Strategic Product Sales organization—a specialized team responsible for accelerating adoption of our highest-priority products across new and existing customers.

This is a builder role. You'll partner cross-functionally to identify where we're underpenetrated, develop the commercial strategy to unlock growth, and create scalable cross-sell motions that drive product adoption at scale. You'll lead a team of product sales specialists while partnering closely with Account Executives, Account Managers, Product, Marketing, Revenue Operations, and Enablement to improve how strategic products are sold across the business.

Success in this role requires equal parts commercial strategy, sales leadership, and cross-functional influence.

What You'll Do
Build and Scale a Product Sales Organization
  • Build, hire, and lead a high-performing team of Product Sales Managers and Specialists.
  • Partner cross-functionally to design the operating model, engagement strategy, territory approach, and capacity plan for the organization.
  • Establish forecasting, pipeline management, inspection rhythms, and performance metrics.
  • Partner with Revenue Operations to define goals, compensation, and success measures aligned to commercial outcomes.
Build New Commercial Motions
  • Deploy targeted strategies towards underpenetrated strategic products and design scalable sales motions to accelerate adoption.
  • Develop commercialization strategies that increase attach rates, cross-sell, and expansion revenue.
  • Determine which customers to prioritize, how to engage them, and which sales resources should be deployed.
  • Continuously evaluate performance and refine go-to-market strategies based on customer and market insights.
Lead Strategic Selling
  • Partner with Account Executives and Account Managers on high-value customer opportunities requiring specialized product expertise.
  • Lead complex commercial conversations with executive stakeholders, helping shape account strategy and maximize customer value.
  • Deploy your team of specialists to accelerate strategic opportunities while enabling relationship owners to remain at the center of the customer experience.
  • Remove barriers to winning complex, multi-product deals.

Staff Applied Machine Learning Engineer - Fraud & Abuse

BlockBay Area, CA, United States of America
Full-timeNot specifiedAug 19, 2026

Block builds simple, powerful tools that make progress towards an economy that’s truly open to all.

Each of our brands unlocks different aspects of the economy for more people. Square makes commerce and financial services accessible to sellers. Cash App is the easy way to spend, send, and store money. Afterpay is transforming the way customers manage their spending over time. TIDAL is a music platform that empowers artists to thrive as entrepreneurs. Bitkey is a simple self-custody wallet built for bitcoin. Proto is a suite of bitcoin mining products and services. Together, we’re helping build a financial system that is open to everyone. Join us.

The Role

As a Staff Applied Machine Learning Engineer focused on Fraud & Abuse, you will design, build, and operate production ML decision systems that reduce payment fraud, account takeover, identity abuse, merchant and marketplace risk, scams, and other adversarial activity across Block.

The team optimizes for reliable decisions, safe deployment, and measurable customer outcomes — preserving access for good customers while reducing fraudulent, abusive, or unsafe activity.

You should be comfortable owning production systems end to end: data contracts, low-latency inference, batch scoring, feature quality, online/offline consistency, model deployment, monitoring, incident response, rollback, and outcome feedback loops. The work combines large-scale ML decisioning with AI-assisted operations: surfacing evidence, simulating controls, accelerating triage, and improving feedback loops while preserving human judgment in high-stakes decisions.

You will work closely with ML modelers, product engineers, risk analysts, compliance partners, and operations teams to respond quickly to evolving abuse patterns without creating unnecessary friction or harm for legitimate customers.

You Will

  • Build and operate real-time and batch ML decisioning systems for payment fraud, scams, identity and account integrity, merchant and marketplace risk, and abuse prevention.
  • Integrate behavioral, graph, device, network, event-stream, and third-party signals into low-latency model serving, decision APIs, and product controls.
  • Own the production lifecycle for risk decisions, including data contracts, feature quality, online/offline consistency, monitoring, drift detection, safe rollout, rollback, and incident response.
  • Develop feedback loops and verified AI-assisted workflows for triage, investigation support, alert clustering, graph exploration, simulation, and post-incident learning.
  • Partner with modelers, analysts, product, compliance, and operations to balance fraud losses, customer access, false positives, product velocity, support burden, and long-term trust.
  • Create reusable decision and evaluation capabilities that product services, internal tools, and AI-assisted workflows can safely consume.

You Have

  • 12+ years building and operating production software and ML systems for business-critical products.
  • Deep expertise in fraud/risk domains such as payment fraud, identity/account integrity, merchant or marketplace risk, scams, trust & safety, abuse prevention, or compliance decisioning.
  • Strong production ML judgment across feature pipelines, model serving, evaluation, monitoring, low-latency integration, safe rollout, and incident response.
  • Sound judgment around false-positive tradeoffs, noisy labels, adversarial behavior, customer harm, and cross-functional decisions.
  • Experience using AI-assisted engineering tools with appropriate verification, testing, and review for high-stakes systems.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with graph-based fraud detection, behavioral sequence models, embeddings, entity resolution, anomaly detection, or human-in-the-loop review.
  • Experience building fraud operations tooling for triage, case management, alert clustering, graph exploration, or policy simulation.
  • Experience with regulated financial services, model governance, auditability, explainability, or decision logging.

Technologies We Use and Teach

We do not expect candidates to have used our exact stack. We do expect strong production engineering fundamentals, deep domain expertise in intelligent ML systems, and judgment about how ML-derived signals should be used safely in customer-impacting products. Examples of technologies and methods include:

  • Python, Java, Kotlin, SQL.
  • TensorFlow, PyTorch, XGBoost/LightGBM, embeddings, deep learning, and tree-based modeling ecosystems.
  • Kafka or other event-streaming systems, batch data pipelines, feature stores, workflow orchestration, and model-serving systems.
  • Cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, data warehouses/lakehouses, monitoring, observability, coding agents, evaluation harnesses, and agent-assisted operations tooling.

SMB Account Executive

BlockBay Area, CA, United States of America
Full-timeNot specifiedAug 19, 2026

We're building a significant, meaningful, and lasting business, and we are helping sellers worldwide do the same.

Senior ML/AI Modeler, Risk Automation Machine Learning

BlockBay Area, CA, United States of America
Full-timeNot specifiedAug 19, 2026

Block is one company built from many blocks, all united by the same purpose of economic empowerment. The blocks that form our foundational teams — People, Finance, Counsel, Hardware, Information Security, Platform Infrastructure Engineering, and more — provide support and guidance at the corporate level. They work across business groups and around the globe, spanning time zones and disciplines to develop inclusive People policies, forecast finances, give legal counsel, safeguard systems, nurture new initiatives, and more. Every challenge creates possibilities, and we need different perspectives to see them all. Bring yours to Block.

The Role

The Risk Automation ML team automates Risk and Compliance investigations and decision making at Block through the application of agentic and generative AI technology. We work globally with partners in Product, Engineering and Operations to ensure that we are providing a safe user experience for our customers while minimizing or eliminating bad activity on our platform.

We are leveraging agentic and generative AI as an integral part of our toolkit to fulfill our mission. Block's machine learning systems monitor billions of payment transactions across traditional payment and blockchain networks and surface suspicious activity (fraudulent, suspicious, illegal activity and brand violations) for trained Operations analyst review and decisioning. We are leveraging generative AI to accelerate historically manually intensive analyst workflows; by adding features in the investigative UX to accelerate agent productivity and enable them to make faster, more informed and accurate decisions (aka Copilots). We also automate workflows end to end completely eliminating the need for manual reviews (aka Autopilots).

This is a new and significant opportunity to rethink and optimize Risk Operations at Block at scale. This is an IC role, but the senior level has significant leadership responsibilities that include owning, and driving strategic roadmaps & priorities to completion by collaborating with relevant cross functional stakeholders.

(Work from anywhere: This role can be performed from any location in the United States and Canada)

You Will

  • Experiment and deploy AI copilot and autopilot systems at scale to improve analyst productivity and/or eliminate manual decision loops altogether.
  • Own the end to end system including API calls to disparate data sources, advanced prompt tuning, orchestration, metrics and evaluation, productionization and monitoring.
  • Leverage diverse data sets that include payment transactions, connected users and asset graphs, unstructured text data and user profile information to build transformer based ML models to improve downstream detection tasks.
  • Work cross functionally with product, platform, engineering and operational stakeholders to deploy production grade systems and monitor and tune ongoing performance.

  • Leverage agentic tools (Claude Code/Codex/Openclaw) to supercharge your research, development, devOps and documentation work as part of your day to day.

You Have

  • 8+ years of Machine Learning modeling experience. Full stack ML experience is strongly preferred.
  • A Masters or advanced degree in computer science, data science, operations research, applied math, stats, physics, or a related technical field.
  • 3+ yrs experience with AI engineering, Large language models, and a background in traditional NLP techniques is a strong plus for this role.
  • End to end experience of building and deploying ML/AI to production systems (batch and real time) that are performant at scale.
  • Experience of independently owning, influencing and driving programs with multiple cross functional stakeholders that have significant business impact.
  • Have a curious, growth-oriented mindset and the ability to think in first principles to identify creative solutions that demonstrate value.

Join us.

The Role

As a Staff Applied Machine Learning Engineer focused on Intelligent Data, Signals & Systems, you will build production ML systems that transform customer behavior, product context, model outputs, and feedback loops into trusted signals used by recommendations, ranking, risk-aware decisioning, growth, and customer intelligence systems.

This role centers on customer intelligence and reusable model-derived signal systems: ranking and retrieval, recommendations, search, propensity and churn/LTV, next-best-action decisioning, experimentation, and feedback loops. These systems help product, growth, fraud, and risk teams make better decisions with clear freshness, provenance, confidence, and evaluation guarantees.

The work combines production ML systems with composable signal interfaces that can be consumed by product surfaces, decision engines, internal tools, and verified AI-assisted workflows. The role is flexible across Applied ML Engineering domains while still requiring deep expertise.

You Will

  • Build and operate production ML systems that turn customer and product context into trusted signals, rankings, recommendations, and decision capabilities.
  • Design production data and signal contracts that define intended use, freshness, provenance, confidence, eligibility, and calibration for downstream consumers.
  • Own ranking, retrieval, recommendation, search, propensity, and next-best-action systems end to end, from feature and candidate generation through serving, experimentation, monitoring, and feedback loops.
  • Evaluate customer and business impact beyond short-term conversion, including trust, fairness, access, risk, compliance, long-term engagement, and segment-level performance.
  • Partner across product, growth, data, platform, modeling, risk, and compliance to translate ambiguous goals into measurable ML system designs.
  • Use AI and agents to accelerate development, analysis, testing, documentation, and operations while exposing reusable capabilities to product services, internal tools, and AI-assisted workflows.

You Have

  • 12+ years building and operating production software and ML systems for business-critical products.

Spiral Ingénieur Blockchain

BlockParis, France
Full-timeNot specifiedAug 17, 2026

Indirect Sales Manager, France

BlockParis, France
Full-timeNot specifiedAug 17, 2026

The Role

Square is seeking a Channel Sales Manager to build and lead a high-performing network of independent sales consultants (auto-entrepreneurs) across France. In this role, your primary responsibility is to enable and develop your team—recruiting, onboarding, training, coaching, and supporting a portfolio of 20–30 independent consultants to drive adoption of Square's payment and business solutions.

As a Channel Sales Manager, you operate as a full-time employee of Square in a dedicated team-support capacity. You are not expected to carry a personal sales quota or close deals yourself—your success is measured entirely through the performance and growth of your consultant network.

What You'll Do

Team Building & Recruitment

  • Identify, recruit, and onboard independent sales consultants (auto-entrepreneurs) across your assigned region
  • Build and continuously scale a high-performing team of 20–30 independent consultants through rigorous, quality-driven recruitment
  • Partner with Square's internal recruiting resources to maintain a healthy pipeline of candidates
  • Design and deliver structured onboarding programs to get new consultants productive quickly

Coaching & Consultant Development

  • Provide regular 1:1 coaching sessions, joint field visits, and structured feedback to maximize each consultant's performance
  • Identify skill gaps and design targeted training plans to address them
  • Foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement within your team
  • Equip consultants with the tools, resources, and product knowledge they need to succeed autonomously

Performance Management & Reporting

  • Track and analyze sales performance at both team and individual consultant levels
  • Set clear KPIs, monitor progress, and proactively address underperformance with structured support plans
  • Produce reliable regional forecasts, pipeline updates, and performance summaries for leadership
  • Leverage data-driven insights to make strategic decisions and drive continuous improvement across your network

Market Intelligence & Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Capture insights from the field regarding local SME needs, market trends, and competitive dynamics
  • Share learnings with leadership and cross-functional teams to inform go-to-market strategy
  • Represent Square professionally in the market and support brand awareness initiatives in your region

What We're Looking For

Required Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in sales channel management, indirect sales, or team leadership, ideally in the French market
  • Demonstrated ability to recruit, develop, and manage networks of independent contractors or self-employed salespeople
  • Strong appetite for fintech, payment solutions, and point-of-sale (POS) systems
  • Experience with performance-based sales models and a solid understanding of pipelines, metrics, and sales processes

Skills & Competencies

  • Exceptional coaching and leadership abilities, particularly with non-employee, commission-based contractors
  • Natural talent for recruiting and evaluating sales talent
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build trust and alignment with independent consultants
  • Analytical mindset—able to interpret performance data and act strategically
  • Self-starter with entrepreneurial drive and the ability to work autonomously in a remote environment
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills

Nice to Have

  • Experience in fintech, payments, POS, or working with French SMEs
  • Previous experience building sales teams from scratch
  • Familiarity with auto-entrepreneur regulations and contractor management in France

Language Requirements

  • Fluent in French (native or business fluency)
  • Professional proficiency in English is a plus

Additional Notes

  • This position is based in France and will operate remotely within your assigned region
  • Regular travel across your region is required; occasional national travel may also be required
  • Competitive compensation package including base salary and variable compensation (bonus-eligible)
  • Comprehensive benefits in accordance with French employment standards

Spiral Blockchain Engineer

BlockParis, France
Full-timeNot specifiedAug 17, 2026

Spiral (formerly Square Crypto) builds and funds free, open-source projects that advance the use of bitcoin as a tool for economic empowerment. The core team is mainly focused on contributing to the Lightning Development Kit (LDK), a tool that simplifies how developers add the Lightning Network – fast, cheap, global bitcoin payments – to applications. In addition, Spiral’s wildly successful grant program supplies funding to dozens of FOSS (free and open-source) bitcoin developers, designers, PMs, and educators all around the world. .

The Role

We’re looking to grow the six-person engineering team that exclusively works on developing the Lightning Development Kit (LDK).

LDK is a comprehensive open-source project that lets developers efficiently build Lightning applications. It includes a full implementation of the Lightning Network protocol written in Rust, APIs, language bindings, demo apps, and more. LDK is used by dozens of projects worldwide, including Lightspark, Cash App, Alby, and BitKit.

The LDK engineers who work for Spiral spend significant time writing code, reviewing code, answering questions, writing documentation, and accepting sensible patches and pull requests from other contributors. LDK aims to build a sustainable open-source project that is welcoming to newcomers, beneficial to users, and ultimately not reliant on a single funding source. The development roadmap is transparent, and corporate priorities do not come first; users do.

You Will

  • Contribute to LDK by writing and reviewing code, improving testing infrastructure, and assisting projects and companies that use LDK
  • Help add and maintain features such as the following:
    • Language bindings, including Java/Kotlin, C#, JavaScript/WASM/browser extensions, and Swift
    • Support for splicing and dual-funded channels
    • Support for Taproot, including musig, PTLCs, multi-sig scripts, and custom scripts
    • Improve the performance, scalability, and robustness of LDK
    • BOLT 12, VSS, and anchor outputs
    • A server version of LDK
  • When you’re not doing all of that, you’ll improve bitcoin through passion projects of your choosing. Almost anything goes.

You Have

  • 8+ years of professional experience
  • Hands-on experience with bitcoin and the Lightning Network
  • Experience programming with Rust, C, or C++
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguity and build creative solutions to complex problems
  • Appreciation for bitcoin

How to Apply

  • Include a link to your GitHub (if you’ve got one), any side projects you’ve got floating around that you think we should see, and some words that explain why you’re a fit for this position.

Enterprise Account Executive, Remote UK

BlockLondon, United Kingdom
Full-timeNot specifiedAug 17, 2026

We're building a significant, meaningful, and lasting business, and we are helping sellers worldwide do the same.

The Role

As an Enterprise Account Executive, you'll be the tip of the spear for Square's most strategic, high-value deals. You'll navigate multi-threaded sales cycles with executive stakeholders involving technical integrations and cross-functional alignment. This is a role for a seasoned enterprise seller who owns the full deal lifecycle — from cold outreach to signed contract — and thrives in the complexity that comes with it.

You'll join a high-performing enterprise sales team that is deeply supported and strategically prioritized. Square is making significant investments to bring Square upmarket at scale and enable enterprise sales success. This is a team that operates with rigor, moves with urgency, and takes pride in signing the largest deals for the company.

You Will

  • Craft and Lead Deal Strategy: Develop sophisticated, insight-led sales narratives tailored to client business priorities. You will identify the right entry points, mapping stakeholder influence, and building compelling business cases that create clear ROI.
  • Own the Full Sales Cycle: Manage your pipeline end-to-end with precision — from prospecting and discovery through negotiation and close — qualifying rigorously and driving momentum at every stage without losing sight of the details
  • Lead Technical, Complex Sales Cycles: Partner closely with Solutions Engineering to scope platform requirements and API integrations. Translate deeply technical concepts into language that resonates with executive decision-makers and know when to bring in the right expert at the right moment
  • Orchestrate Internal Alignment: Quarterback cross-functional stakeholders across Finance, Legal, Risk, Product, Solutions Engineering, and Account Management — proactively surfacing blockers, resolving ambiguity, and ensuring everyone is aligned and moving in the same direction
  • Represent Square at the Highest Level: Represent Square in C-suite meetings, on stage at industry conferences, or in working sessions with a prospect's technical team — with executive presence that is polished, credible, and authentic
  • Build Block's Enterprise Network: Represent Square at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions; develop lasting relationships with senior leaders at leading brands and platform partners
  • Be a Multiplier for the Business: Channel the voice of the customer internally to influence product roadmaps and go-to-market strategy; apply AI tools to sharpen your research, automate workflows, and increase your overall output

You Have

  • 8+ years of enterprise sales experience, with a track record of closing complex, high-value deals with end-to-end ownership
  • Deep experience in technical sales cycles — you're fluent in conversations involving API integrations, custom development, and platform configuration, and you collaborate naturally with Solutions Engineering teams
  • A proven ability to orchestrate multi-stakeholder deals — internally and externally — with exceptional communication, follow-through, and organizational discipline
  • Executive presence that's equally at home on a conference stage, in a C-suite boardroom, or on a discovery call with a technical champion
  • Experience selling a complex ecosystem of SaaS or fintech products, ideally in payments, commerce, or adjacent verticals
  • The ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment — you don't wait to be told what to do next
  • A talent for translating complexity into clarity — whether that's simplifying a technical integration for a CFO or structuring an ambiguous problem for an internal stakeholder
  • A BA/BS degree or equivalent professional experience
  • Willingness to travel ~40%

Why This Role

Square is growing our upmarket sales motion. We've built the infrastructure, the product depth, and the brand credibility to compete at the highest level — and we're accelerating. This role is for someone who wants to be at the center of that momentum: closing deals that matter, building relationships that last, and helping shape what enterprise sales looks like at one of the most consequential companies in commerce

We're working to build a more inclusive economy where our customers have equal access to opportunity, and we strive to live by these same values in building our workplace. Enterprise People Platform Engineer

BlockBay Area, CA, United States of America
Full-timeNot specifiedAug 14, 2026

Block is one company built from many blocks, all united by the same purpose of economic empowerment. The blocks that form our foundational teams — People, Finance, Counsel, Hardware, Information Security, Platform Infrastructure Engineering, and more — provide support and guidance at the corporate level. They work across business groups and around the globe, spanning time zones and disciplines to develop inclusive People policies, forecast finances, give legal counsel, safeguard systems, nurture new initiatives, and more. Every challenge creates possibilities, and we need different perspectives to see them all. Bring yours to Block.

The Role

The People Technology team, part of the People Automation and Operations organization, manages the infrastructure powering Block's employee lifecycle from recruiting to off boarding. We're shifting from standard SaaS solutions to building scalable, secure platform infrastructure — data APIs, AI agents, and integration frameworks — so our People teams can build more.

Reporting to the Head of People Technology, you'll start with Talent Acquisition as your first customer and broaden across the People portfolio from there.

In Your First Year

  • Start with Talent, build for the portfolio. You'll partner closely with Talent Acquisition on their most pressing technology needs while their strategy and org design come together — building solutions that hold up beyond that first customer.
  • Automate recurring operational work, sustainably. A meaningful share of the work supporting our People stack repeats. You'll replace it with automation built to last — documented, maintainable, and designed as shared capability rather than one-off fixes.
  • Make other builders faster. As teams across People build their own AI-enabled solutions, you'll give them the underpinnings: trusted data access, integration patterns, reusable tools and agents, and clear guidance on what's safe to build and what isn't.

You Will

Talent Acquisition Partnership & Platform Strategy

  • Partner with Talent Acquisition and other People teams to understand business challenges and identify opportunities to improve work through technology and AI.
  • Advise teams as they evaluate and design AI-enabled solutions that are scalable, secure, and grounded in trusted People data.
  • Balance near-term delivery with longer-term platform investments that reduce duplication and speed up future development.

Platform Architecture & Integration Design

  • Build and enable shared integrations, data services, and platform automations that accelerate AI-powered solutions across the People organization.
  • Evaluate and manage People Technology vendors, weighing build, buy, and integration decisions.
  • Evolve People Technology toward consistent, shared platform capabilities and architectural patterns that empower builders across the organization.

AI, Automation & Innovation

  • Use AI and modern development tools to prototype, automate, and deliver technology solutions that improve the employee and candidate experience.
  • Partner with builders across the People organization so solutions draw on trusted data, follow governance standards, and are designed for maintainability and scale.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and identify opportunities to improve productivity, employee experiences, and operational effectiveness.

Platform Operations & Governance

  • Steward our core People Platform, including systems of record such as Workday and Greenhouse, ensuring reliable, secure, and scalable operations.

You Have

  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 3 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience managing enterprise People platforms such as Workday, Greenhouse, or similar systems, including hands-on work designing or implementing integrations between them using APIs, middleware, ETL tools, or integration platforms.
  • Supported Recruiting or Talent Acquisition through technology, with working knowledge of how hiring runs — offer approvals, requisition and application flows, and the sourcing or assessment tools behind them.
  • Experimented with AI tools to automate work or build solutions, and can talk through what you tried, what you learned, and how you'd apply it to People Technology challenges. We're all learning, but you need to have started.
  • Led technology initiatives end-to-end — from discovery and requirements through implementation, change management, and adoption — simplifying complex business processes along the way.
  • Translate technical concepts for business stakeholders and business needs for technical audiences, and influence decisions across People, Security, Data, and Engineering teams.
  • Preferred: Built AI-powered workflows, agents, or applications using AI APIs, agent frameworks, or automation platforms — prototypes and side projects count.
  • Preferred: Written code or queries (Python, SQL, JavaScript) to automate workflows, manipulate data, or build integrations, using practices like source control, CI/CD, or Agile delivery.
  • Preferred: Understanding of compliance and security standards relevant to People data (SOX controls, GDPR, data classification frameworks, access controls).

Manager, Field Sales

BlockMelbourne, Australia

As our sellers grow, so do our solutions. There is a massive opportunity in front of us. We’re building a significant, meaningful, and lasting business, and we are helping sellers worldwide do the same.

The Role

Square is building a world-class, high-accountability field sales organization — and we’re looking for a leader who is both a coach and a builder. You know the craft of selling deeply: how to open doors, generate pipeline, position value competitively, and close with precision. You lead from the front, developing your team through active engagement — not from the sidelines.

You will be the driving force behind a disciplined, insight-led sales motion that blends in-person selling with proactive outbound strategy. Your leadership will elevate both the quality and velocity of revenue while shaping a culture rooted in excellence, ownership, and growth.

If you are a hands-on leader with deep product expertise, strong competitive instincts, and a track record of raising the bar for sellers — this is your next move.

Reporting into the Head of Field Sales, Australia, this role will be based in Melbourne, Australia.

You Will

Lead with expertise in the field

  • Develop Territory Account Executives through active, in-market coaching — from sourcing and opening conversations to consultative discovery, competitive positioning, and closing with clarity.
  • Model world-class selling by joining prospect and customer meetings, demonstrating product fluency, value articulation, and decisive deal strategy.
  • Spend significant time in the field with your team, strengthening local relationships, fueling community-driven pipeline creation, and ensuring sellers experience Square through a human, product-driven presence.

Operate in the details

  • Manage pipeline and KPIs with rigor — diagnosing gaps, identifying risks, expanding coverage, and guiding AEs to create and progress high-quality opportunities.
  • Run disciplined weekly pipeline, forecast, and deal reviews that drive action, accountability, and predictable outcomes across multiple markets.
  •  Use data-backed insights to coach AE effectiveness, elevate sales execution, and ensure consistent momentum across high-velocity, complex sales cycles.

Build a high-performance, high-accountability culture

  • Create an environment defined by trust, clear expectations, ownership, and open communication.
  • Hold the team to a high bar of execution while providing the clarity, structure, and hands-on coaching needed to meet it.
  • Hire, onboard, and develop AEs to ramp quickly, deepen product expertise, and consistently exceed quota.

Mid-Market Account Executive, Australia

BlockMelbourne, Australia
Full-timeNot specifiedAug 13, 2026

The Role

At Square, we’re re-imagining how mid-market businesses grow. As a Mid Market Account Executive on our Outbound Team, you’ll bring Square’s ecosystem to new sellers across diverse industries by building, shaping, and closing your own pipeline.

You Will

  • Own the full outbound sales cycle — from prospecting to negotiation to close — with mid-market merchants.

You Will

  • Build a High-Performance Team
    • Hire exceptional Account Executives and raise the talent bar with every addition to your team.
    • Develop a culture of ownership, accountability, continuous learning and high standards.

    • Establish predictable operating rhythms around forecasting, pipeline management and business reviews.
    • Build disciplined education that creates consistent, repeatable revenue outcomes.
    • Continuously improve how your team sells by refining processes, simplifying execution and eliminating friction.
  • Lead Through Influence
    • Partner closing with sales Leadership, Marketing, Enablement, Operations and Product to improve the customer journey and strengthen commercial execution.
    • Use customer insights and field intelligence to shape strategy and influence product evolution.
    • Lead through change by helping your team adapt quickly while maintaining high performance.

You Have

  • 6+ years experience as a sales manager.
  • 3 years of documented sales success as an individual contributor exceeding target.
  • A proven track record leading high-performing sales teams in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Success developing Account Executives into top performers through structured coaching and clear performance expectations.
  • Experience in leading and scaling outbound teams, leveraging tools and sales excellence frameworks to drive results.
  • The ability to navigate complex seller engagements, using internal resources to drive seller experience and win rates.
  • Deep expertise in pipeline management, forecasting, and using data to improve business outcomes.
  • Demonstrated experience hiring exceptional talent and building teams that consistently outperform.
  • Strong business judgment with the ability to balance short-term execution and long-term organizational health.
