By combining global corporate cards and banking with intuitive spend management, bill pay, and travel software, Brex enables founders and finance teams to accelerate operations, gain real-time visibility, and control spend effortlessly. Brex’s AI-native automation and world-class service eliminate manual expense and accounting tasks for customers so they can focus on what matters most. Tens of thousands of the world's best companies run on Brex, including DoorDash, Coinbase, Robinhood, Zoom, Plaid, Reddit, and SeatGeek.

Working at Brex allows you to push your limits, challenge the status quo, and collaborate with some of the brightest minds in the industry. We’re committed to building a diverse team and inclusive culture and believe your potential should only be limited by how big you can dream. We make this a reality by empowering you with the tools, resources, and support you need to grow your career.

Finance at Brex

The Finance team is a strategic engine at Brex. We lead planning, forecasting, capital allocation, and ROI analysis — partnering across the business to drive clarity and unlock opportunity. We partner across teams at Brex to ensure our business is building and planning with the same dream big goals throughout our entire organization. We’re not here to report on outcomes; we shape them. If you want to influence company direction and think long-term about value creation, this is where your ownership starts.

Where you’ll work

This role will be based in our Vancouver office. We are a hybrid environment that combines the energy and connections of being in the office with the benefits and flexibility of working from home. We currently require a minimum of three coordinated days in the office per week - Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday. As a perk, we also have up to four weeks per year of fully remote work!

What you’ll do

We are hiring two Finance Associates who will each initially own distinct workstreams before rotating responsibilities — building deep expertise across the full Corporate FP&A function. Your work will directly inform Brex's total company business plan and executive reporting, giving you real exposure and ownership from day one. You will also be a core contributor to our AI-first initiatives and financial systems roadmap — we are looking for someone who sees AI not as an occasional tool, but as the default lens through which they approach every workflow.

Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Modeling

  • Own our forecasting & planning process, managing our operational model and collaborating with stakeholders to make recommendations that drive the business forward
  • Review, evaluate, maintain, and improve financial models used for OKRs and operational & financial reporting
  • Participate in budgeting, forecasting, headcount planning, and G&A finance processes

Management Reporting & Performance

  • Own our monthly management reporting and bi-weekly rolling forecast process delivered directly to our executive leadership team
  • Support Finance Business Partners with the creation of Budget vs. Actuals materials

Shared Across Both Workstreams

  • Build out and maintain Finance AI tooling and financial systems infrastructure, identifying opportunities to automate reporting and scale the team's impact
  • Contribute to special projects and ad hoc analyses supporting senior leadership

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Finance, Business, or related field
  • 2+ years of Strategic Finance, FP&A, or Investment Banking experience
  • An AI-first mindset: you default to asking how AI can improve every workflow, you actively experiment with new tools, and you have used AI to accelerate analysis or automate a task
  • Mastery of Excel and PowerPoint with proven experience in building financial models and managing complex data
  • Strong communication, team-working, quantitative and analytical skills
  • Intellectual curiosity, a collaborative work style, and the drive to take ownership in a fast-moving environment
  • Comfort managing multiple workstreams simultaneously and proactively driving work forward without being asked
  • A bias toward proactive insight over reactive reporting
  • Ability to operate independently, build structure in ambiguous environments, and prioritize effectively

Compensation

The expected salary range for this role is $104,000-$130,000 CAD. However, the starting base pay will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate’s location, skills, experience, market demands, and internal pay parity. Depending on the position offered, equity and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package

Why join us

Brex empowers the next generation of businesses with an integrated corporate card and spend management software. We make it easy for our customers to manage every aspect of spending and empower their employees to make better financial decisions from anywhere they live or work. Brex proudly serves tens of thousands of growing businesses, from early-stage startups to global enterprises.

Legal at Brex

The Legal team helps the company grow responsibly, advocating for Brex and for the thousands of growing businesses we serve. We provide strategic advice and guidance to all Brex teams, protect Brex, advise on risk, and represent the company externally, negotiating with partners and interacting with regulators. Reimagining the financial system in a highly regulated environment requires creativity and resourcefulness, and we welcome the challenge.

What you'll do

You will help us grow and scale Brex by serving as the dedicated legal partner to our marketing organization, reviewing and advising on marketing collateral across all Brex products—corporate card, banking, expense management, bill pay, travel, and beyond. You'll be a subject matter expert on advertising, marketing, and UDAP/UDAAP regulations, providing strategic advice on risk and regulatory ambiguity as campaigns move from concept to launch. Embedded with marketing, product, and go-to-market teams, you'll partner from the earliest creative stages through release—reviewing claims, disclosures, and messaging, and translating complex regulatory requirements into practical, on-brand guidance that helps teams move fast and stay compliant. You'll also collaborate closely with cross-functional partners (including product, compliance, partnerships, sales, and design) to find creative solutions to business problems. You know how to break a project down into first principles and see it from ideation to launch, and you understand when to solve a problem in-house versus when to strategically and cost-effectively deploy outside counsel.

Where you’ll work

This role will be based in our New York office. We are a hybrid environment that combines the energy and connections of being in the office with the benefits and flexibility of working from home. We currently require a minimum of three coordinated days in the office per week, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. As a perk, we also have up to four weeks per year of fully remote work!

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary legal reviewer for marketing collateral across all Brex products, including website content, advertising, email and social campaigns, sales enablement materials, decks, blog posts, and customer communications
  • Provide pragmatic, actionable advice on advertising and marketing requirements and best practices, with a focus on substantiating claims, required disclosures, and avoiding UDAP and deceptive-marketing risk
  • Partner closely with marketing, product, and go-to-market teams in real time, advising as campaigns and product launches are designed and built
  • Advise a variety of cross-functional partners on critical marketing, advertising, and consumer-protection regulatory questions
  • Develop scalable review processes, templates, playbooks, and self-serve guidance to help marketing teams move quickly while managing legal risk
  • Track and analyze US and international advertising, marketing, and consumer-protection laws and regulations, and help Brex stay ahead of trends
  • Review and advise on product and marketing collateral, customer communications, and disclosures, ensuring consistency with regulatory requirements and bank partner expectations
  • Support sweepstakes, promotions, endorsements, testimonials, and partner co-marketing arrangements

Requirements

  • 4+ years working experience in a combination of law firms and fintech companies, ideally advising on advertising, marketing, and consumer protection matters for regulated financial products
  • Familiarity with federal, state, and international advertising, marketing, and consumer protection laws and regulations, including UDAP/UDAAP, FTC advertising principles, claim substantiation, endorsements and testimonials, and required disclosures
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, both internal (memos, guides, presentations) and external (marketing collateral, disclosures, customer communications)
  • Ownership mentality and comfort working on complex matters that require sound judgment
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Law degree and admitted to practice in at least one jurisdiction
  • Willingness to be a team player who pitches in to help out on other products and topics; one of our key tenets is "One Brex"

Bonus Points

  • Prior in-house counsel experience at a scaling fintech or payments company
  • Experience interacting directly with regulatory agencies

Compensation

The expected salary range for this role is $220,000-$270,000 USD.  However, the starting base pay will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate’s location, skills, experience, market demands, and internal pay parity.

This role will be based in our Seattle office.

Depending on the position offered, equity and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package.

In this role, you’ll not only publish in the moment but create a repeatable, scalable content engine that delivers on our long-term brand goals. You’ll build editorial narratives, design always-on content, and foster relationships with the ecosystem of founders, operators, and finance leaders we serve. Your work will fuel conversation, build credibility, and unlock commercial impact.

You’ll manage a Social Media Associate and partner across brand, comms, content, design, and product marketing. Above all, you’ll bring a sharp editorial lens and deep business understanding — ensuring that every post reflects both our mission and our ambition.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and own Brex’s social media and content strategy across X (Twitter), LinkedIn, Reddit, YouTube and TikTok— driving reach, engagement, and influence
  • Create and maintain a scalable, evergreen content engine that blends product education, thought leadership, customer stories, and culture
  • Build and manage a robust, impactful, and quality content calendar that connects campaign work & themes with platform-native publishing
  • Engage with our growing community in real time, especially founders, customers, and influencers — building affinity through authentic interaction
  • Write, edit, and oversee high-performing social content, from sharp threads to timely replies, visual storytelling, and brand POV
  • Collaborate with PMM, Comms, Brand, and Design to translate complex ideas (data, product, engineering, etc)  into compelling narratives
  • Partner with Data, PR and Content Design teams to activate in trending tech/AI new topics on social using brex-data powered insights
  • Track performance, analyze insights, and optimize content and engagement strategy based on what resonates
  • Proactively identify opportunities for storytelling across the business — from customer wins to product breakthroughs to cultural moments to trending tech/AI news
  • Lead and develop a Social Media Associate, fostering growth and craft development
  • Partner with CX, ops, and comms to navigate sensitive topics and escalate issues appropriately while maintaining brand integrity

You might be a fit if you:

  • Have 5+ years of experience in social, content, or editorial roles — ideally in fintech, SaaS, or high-growth tech
  • Bring strong editorial instincts and content taste, with a portfolio of social or thought leadership work
  • Understand how to blend short-term tactics with long-term brand building
  • Are fluent in the language and nuance of tech and fintech social (X, LinkedIn) — you know who’s who and what’s working
  • Know how to write sharp, tailored content across formats — from polished posts to reactive replies
  • Are a natural community builder — engaging, responding, and creating space for conversation
  • Have experience translating company goals into content strategy that supports business outcomes
  • Are data-informed but taste-driven — you love dashboards, but lead with instinct
  • Can operate at all levels — from building content systems to engaging 1:1 with execs or replying in the moment
  • Thrive in a high-output, high-trust team where strategy and execution go hand in hand
  • Experience working with social media technology and tools including Sprout Social
  • Experience managing creators and influencers

Bonus Points

  • Have built a brand’s social presence from early stage to scale
  • Have experience and/or understanding of founder/fintech/AI social conversations and thought leaders (primarily on X)
