Entry-level fintech hiring didn't disappear during the 2026 layoff wave, it just concentrated. Of Finjobsly's 3,114 active vacancies, 243 are explicitly junior or internship level, about 8 percent of everything open.
The ratio that actually matters
Set that against the senior end of the same board: 1,367 Senior roles and 428 Staff roles are open right now, against 176 Junior and 67 Internship. Senior and Staff positions outnumber junior and internship ones by more than seven to one.
That ratio, not the raw count, is what makes early-career fintech hiring hard. The roles exist, but the market is structurally weighted well above entry level.
Who's hiring graduates
Toast leads entry-level postings with 51 active roles, followed by Stripe (34), Robinhood (29) and Coinbase (25). Block (18), Mollie (12), Carta (11), Affirm (8), Brex (6), Adyen (6) and Bitpanda (6) also have live junior or internship openings.
What kind of roles these actually are
Most entry-level fintech postings sit in sales development, customer success, and junior engineering, roles where a company can absorb ramp-up time without needing someone production-ready on day one. Toast's volume in particular comes heavily from sales onboarding and account management tracks rather than engineering, a pattern worth knowing if you're applying with a non-technical background.
What to do with this
Four employers account for 139 of the 243 open entry-level roles, well over half. Target those companies specifically rather than spreading applications evenly across the board, and lean on Finjobsly's AI interview coach to prepare for the screens these high-volume junior pipelines tend to run.
