Ireland has set a target of 70,000 new financial services jobs by 2030, and on 27 October 2026 Finjobsly's panel showed 107 active roles in Ireland. Stripe accounts for 79 of them (73.8%), so today's open roles describe a few large employers, not the wider Irish market.

What is Ireland's 70,000 jobs target?
According to FF News, the Irish government's renewed financial services strategy, "Ireland for Finance 2026-2030", was launched on 25 August 2026. It aims to add 70,000 financial services jobs by 2030, with a quarter of them outside Dublin. This is a government target, not a forecast of what will happen, and it covers financial services broadly rather than fintech alone.
The target matters to job seekers because it signals policy support for hiring and for regional hubs. It does not tell you how many fintech roles are open today, which is where live data helps.
How many fintech roles are open in Ireland?
Finjobsly matched active roles whose location text includes Dublin or Ireland and found 107 across 4,200 roles at 36 tracked employers. Five employers account for all of them.
| Employer | Irish active roles | Share of the 107 |
|---|---|---|
| Stripe | 79 | 73.8% |
| Toast | 20 | 18.7% |
| Monzo | 5 | 4.7% |
| Coinbase | 2 | 1.9% |
| Ripple | 1 | 0.9% |
That is a narrow base. Stripe and Toast together are 92.5% of the roles. Banks, insurers and fintechs outside our panel hire in Dublin too, and none of them appear here. The count says what the 36 tracked employers have open in Ireland, not how big the Irish fintech market is.
What kind of roles are they?
The mix leans senior. Of the 107 roles, 47 are Senior, 27 Mid-Level, 23 Staff, 3 Junior, 3 Principal, 2 Lead, 1 Internship and 1 Director. Senior level and above is 76 roles (71.0%), close to the 69.7% seen across the whole panel, and Junior and Internship roles are 4 (3.7%).
Titles include account executives for specific language markets (French, Italian or Spanish, Polish and Nordic roles appear), engineering managers, software engineers in infrastructure and AI, incident response, internal audit and treasury, a global sanctions manager and a payments fraud investigator. Several sales titles name a required language, so fluency can decide whether you are considered at all.
What this means if you want to work in Ireland
Engineering, sales and risk roles are all present, so the market is not limited to one function. Most roles ask for experience, so early-career candidates may need an internship or a sales role in a language market. And because two employers dominate, a hiring pause at either would change the picture quickly.

Methodology and data sources
Data snapshot. Finjobsly live job market data, 27 October 2026: 4,200 active roles at 36 tracked employers. Irish roles are those whose location text contains Dublin or Ireland (107 roles). Seniority shares use those 107 roles as the denominator, all of which carry a label.
Limits. Location text is not standardized across employers, so a few roles may be missed or misplaced. The sample is small and dominated by Stripe (79 of 107). We make no trend claims, because scrapers were connected in July 2026. See the research methodology.
