With teams in Denver, San Francisco, and New York, we support more than 500,000 small businesses nationwide and are building a workplace that reflects the people we serve.

About the Role:

  • Help drive the product development process from concept to launch

Here’s what we're looking for:

  • 8+ years of professional software development experience
  • Experience architecting, building, and testing large-scale and resilient distributed systems and/or software platforms
  • Maximizes the use of AI tooling while guiding the team in adopting modern AI practices
  • Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and working with quick iteration cycles
  • Ability to communicate technical complexity and help facilitate informed tradeoffs
  • Willingness to collaborate across different functions
  • An aptitude and interest in bringing clarity and simplicity to complex and ambiguous problems
  • Experience as a technical lead, leading the work of multiple engineers on multi-quarter projects

Nice, but not required:

  • Experience in the Fintech industry building scalable backend systems to power financial services and products
  • Experience with accounting, bookkeeping, tax, or financial reporting systems and a strong understanding of accounting workflows
  • Familiarity with small business accounting or tax domains, including concepts such as ledgers, reconciliations, financial statements, payroll accounting, or tax compliance
  • Ruby/Ruby on Rails, GraphQL, React, Typescript, AWS

Please note that a two day travel to a Gusto office for onboarding is required for this position. If you have any questions regarding this requirement, please share with your recruiter.

Our cash compensation amount for this role is targeted at $163,000–$204,000 in Denver & most remote locations, and $197,000–$247,000 for San Francisco & New York. Stock equity is additional. When approved to work from a location other than a Gusto office, a secure, reliable, and consistent internet connection is required. This includes non-office days for hybrid employees.

Senior Manager, Hedge AccountingNew

RippleChicago, Illinois, United States
Full-timeNot specifiedJul 27, 2026

At Ripple, we’re building a world where value moves like information does today. It’s big, it’s bold, and we’re already doing it. Through our crypto solutions for financial institutions, businesses, governments and developers, we are improving the global financial system and creating greater economic fairness and opportunity for more people, in more places around the world. And we get to do the best work of our career and grow our skills surrounded by colleagues who have our backs.

If you’re ready to see your impact and unlock incredible career growth opportunities, join us, and build real world value.

THE WORK:

As Senior Manager, Hedge Accounting at Ripple Treasury, you are the subject matter expert — spanning both FX and Interest Rate risk management — the person clients, auditors, and colleagues turn to on the most complex ASC 815 and IFRS 9 questions, and the senior level expert who sets the standard the team grows into.

You own the quality and integrity of every hedge accounting deliverable we produce, from hedge documentation and effectiveness testing through journal entries, disclosures, and audit support. You develop the Derivative Accountants and the broader team. And you drive the process discipline that makes our practice scalable — building the workflows, templates, and operational habits that let us do exceptional work efficiently, quarter after quarter.

This role is for a senior level practitioner and leader who combines deep technical authority, hands-on delivery responsibility, and a builder’s mindset.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Technical Leadership

  • Serve as the primary SME for hedge accounting under ASC 815 and IFRS 9, advising clients directly on establishing and executing their FX and Interest Rate hedge programs — including hedge designation, effectiveness testing methodology, de-designation scenarios, and disclosure requirements — providing authoritative, audit-defensible technical guidance across fair value, cash flow, and net investment hedges.
  • Review and approve hedge documentation, designation memos, risk management objectives, and effectiveness testing methodologies across the client portfolio.
  • Oversee quantitative and qualitative effectiveness assessments (regression analysis, dollar-offset, hypothetical derivative method) across FX and Interest Rate hedge relationships, on a prospective and retrospective basis.
  • Guide clients through structuring new FX and Interest Rate hedging relationships to achieve qualification and optimize accounting outcomes.
  • Translate FASB and IASB standard updates into clear, actionable impact summaries for clients and internal teams — before the deadline, not at it.
  • Lead audit support: own final review of work product and direct engagement with external auditors on hedge accounting matters, escalating contested or precedent-setting positions to the Head of Managed Services.

Team Management & Development

  • Mentor and develop Derivative Accounting team members.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, guidance, and feedback that strengthens technical depth and delivery effectiveness of Derivative Accounting team members.
  • Promote and reinforce a team culture grounded in technical rigor, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Process Improvement & Operational Excellence

  • Identify and implement process improvements across the hedge accounting lifecycle — from trade capture and documentation through close, disclosure, and audit response.
  • Develop, document, and maintain standardized workflows, templates, and close checklists that scale across a growing client portfolio.
  • Evaluate and leverage technology solutions that increase accuracy, reduce manual effort, and improve efficiency.
  • Establish and track team KPIs for delivery quality, timeliness, and client satisfaction; use data to drive decisions.
  • Lead retrospectives after each close cycle to capture what worked, what didn’t, and what changes before next quarter.

Client Service & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Serve as the first-line escalation point for client inquiries, audit questions, and complex accounting positions across the managed services portfolio — resolving what falls within established practice standards, and flagging anything novel or contested upward.
  • Build trusted relationships with client treasury, accounting, and finance leadership — advising at a strategic level, not just executing deliverables.
  • Partner with Ripple Treasury’s Product, Implementation, and Customer Success teams to inform platform capabilities and service design.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

  • CPA required; advanced degree in Accounting or Finance a plus.
  • 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 7 years focused on derivative instruments and hedge accounting under ASC 815 and IFRS 9, spanning both FX and Interest Rate risk management.
  • Proven experience in developing accounting team member expertise — in public accounting, managed services, or corporate finance.
  • Deep technical fluency in ASC 815 and IFRS 9, including practical hedge accounting elections, effectiveness testing methodologies, and disclosure requirements — you can research, interpret, and apply the standards independently.
  • Strong understanding of FX derivative instruments (FX forwards, options, cross-currency swaps) and interest rate derivative instruments (interest rate swaps, caps, floors, collars), and the distinct hedge accounting considerations each presents.
  • Demonstrated track record of designing and implementing process improvements.
  • Experience with hedge accounting platforms (Ripple Treasury, Chatham Financial, Reval, FIS Quantum, or comparable TMS) strongly preferred.
  • Comfortable managing multiple client engagements simultaneously — precise, organized, and able to prioritize under tight deadlines.
  • Strong communicator: you make complex accounting conclusions accessible to non-technical audiences, and you hold your ground on technical positions when it matters.

Software Engineer, Reconciliation & ReportingNew

BlockBay Area, CA, United States of America
Full-timeNot specifiedJul 27, 2026

Since we opened our doors in 2009, the world of commerce has evolved immensely, and so has Square. After enabling anyone to take payments and never miss a sale, we saw sellers stymied by disparate, outmoded products and tools that wouldn’t work together.

So we expanded into software and started building integrated, omnichannel solutions – to help sellers sell online, manage inventory, offer buy now, pay later functionality, book appointments, engage loyal buyers, and hire and pay staff. Across it all, we’ve embedded financial services tools at the point of sale, so merchants can access a business loan and manage their cash flow in one place. Afterpay furthers our goal to provide omnichannel tools that unlock meaningful value and growth, enabling sellers to capture the next generation shopper, increase order sizes, and compete at a larger scale.

Today, we are a partner to sellers of all sizes – large, enterprise-scale businesses with complex operations, sellers just starting, as well as merchants who began selling with Square and have grown larger over time. As our sellers grow, so do our solutions. There is a massive opportunity in front of us. We’re building a significant, meaningful, and lasting business, and we are helping sellers worldwide do the same.

The Role

You will join the Recon and Reporting team, which owns our post-transaction systems: the platform responsible for reconciling money, tracing the end-to-end flow of funds, and meeting our tax and regulatory reporting obligations to merchants, customers, and authorities worldwide. Reconciliation and financial reporting are essential to running a payments business, and given our transaction volume, the projects you own will have direct, measurable impact on financial accuracy and trust.

You will help build and operate the systems that ingest and integrate global card-network settlement and report files (Visa, Mastercard, and equivalents), along with data from acquirers, processors, and banks, and reconcile them against internal payment data to power settlement, dispute, cost, tax, and regulatory reporting. You will own well-scoped projects within this platform end-to-end, with guidance from more experienced engineers. Our vision is to make reconciliation and reporting accurate, automated, and near real-time.

You Will

  • Own small, well-bounded projects end-to-end with guidance available: clarify requirements, design, build, test, ship, and follow up.
  • Build and maintain features within the ingestion and reconciliation pipelines that match card-network and partner reports against internal transaction data.
  • Contribute to tooling that provides end-to-end traceability of money throughout the system.
  • Develop features for reporting and reconciliation products that are accurate, reliable, timely, scalable, and user-friendly for both internal finance teams and external merchants.
  • Produce standardized journals and summaries that feed downstream accounting, audit, and analysis.
  • Contribute to our large-scale tax and regulatory reporting systems, including US IRS information returns (the 1099 family, issued at the scale of tens of millions of forms annually to merchants and customers) and international regimes such as EU-wide CESOP and country-specific reporting for Australia, Ireland, and Spain.
  • Support broader regulatory and compliance obligations (AML, KYC, and similar), with careful handling of sensitive and PII data, including TIN validation and secure form generation and filing.
  • Validate your work before calling it done, using code review, tests, small experiments, or usage signals, including for AI-assisted changes.
  • Take agency in debugging and escalating production issues across services, giving the team clear context on what changed, when it changed, how it changed, and what risk remains.
  • Collaborate with engineers, product managers, data analysts, and finance, tax, and compliance partners, contributing to technical design and product decisions that shape feature outcomes.
  • Review peers' work, apply their feedback to your own, and document learnings, including AI workflows the team can reuse.
  • Opportunistically improve the systems you touch when it fits your project scope, replacing manual and redundant work with automation, and route larger issues to the right owner.

You Have

  • 3+ years of professional software or data engineering experience.
  • A Bachelor's degree in a technical field (Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or similar) or equivalent technical experience.
  • Experience building or maintaining batch- or event-driven data pipelines, with exposure to workflow-orchestration technologies (e.g., Airflow, Temporal, Spark, or equivalent) and a working understanding of distributed systems.
  • Proficiency in at least one major programming language (e.g., Java, Python, Go) and solid SQL.
  • Experience delivering well-scoped projects or features end-to-end (design, build, test, ship, operate), with guidance from more experienced engineers.
  • Strong communication skills: you surface concerns alongside a concrete proposal, and you give teammates clear context when debugging and escalating.
  • Care for engineering quality, including maintainable and testable code, code review, CI/CD, and observability, appropriate for a complex, high-stakes financial environment.
  • Proficiency in using AI tools throughout the software development lifecycle, with the judgment to recognize where they accelerate work and where output needs additional validation.

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to financial, tax, regulatory, or payments reporting and reconciliation products.
  • Familiarity with the payments ecosystem (merchants, acquirers, card networks, and issuers/processors), including authorization, clearing, and settlement, card-network settlement file formats, or ISO-8583.
  • Understanding of accounting principles, double-entry bookkeeping, and financial reconciliation processes.
  • Experience with cloud data warehouses (e.g., BigQuery, Snowflake) or distributed data systems and tools such as Spark/PySpark, Delta Lake, Kafka, and Hadoop.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Kubernetes) and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform).
  • Interest in financial products and markets.

As our sellers grow, so do our solutions. There is a massive opportunity in front of us. We’re building a significant, meaningful, and lasting business, and we are helping sellers worldwide do the same.

The Role

Square is building a best-in-class, high-impact field sales organization, and we are looking for an exceptional Territory Account Executive — someone who consistently exceeds expectations, takes full ownership of their territory, and brings Square’s mission of economic empowerment directly to the businesses that need it most.

This is a field-driven, execution-focused role designed for individuals who thrive in dynamic, demanding environments. You will spend most of your week out in the market — meeting businesses, conducting live demos, and closing deals with confidence. The pace is fast, the expectations are high, and your ability to operate strategically and decisively will determine your success.

You will serve as Square’s presence and competitive advantage in one of our highest-opportunity markets — responsible for building pipeline from the ground up, elevating Square’s visibility in your community, establishing high-value partnerships, and helping local businesses grow through our ecosystem of industry-leading software and hardware.

If you are motivated by impactful work, driven to outperform, and eager to join a high-performance team with high standards, this role is built for you.

The territory for this role can be located in Riverside, Corona, or San Bernardino.

You will:

Lead your market with disciplined, in-person execution

  • Spend ~80% of your week in the field — walking your territory, engaging local businesses, and driving 50–60 targeted business visits each week.
  • Run a full-cycle, self-sourced sales motion: generate leads, identify needs, deliver compelling demos, and close deals across Square’s full product suite.

Establish yourself as the go-to Square expert in your city

  • Build strong, trust-based relationships with local sellers by being present, reliable, and value-driven.
  • Partner cross-functionally to ensure a seamless onboarding experience and fast time-to-value for new sellers.
  • Implement a disciplined referral strategy to turn every new customer into future opportunities.

Build a high-velocity pipeline from the ground up

  • Develop a repeatable top-of-funnel engine through door-to-door outreach, community engagement, events, networking, and targeted partnerships.
  • Work with channel partners to generate a consistent, high-quality referral stream that grows over time.

Master your verticals and sell with precision

  • Build deep expertise in key verticals — including restaurants, retail, and services — to diagnose challenges and position the right Square solutions.
  • Sell consultatively and competitively, staying proactive and strategic throughout the sales cycle.

Achieve exceptional results in a high-accountability environment

  • Maintain strong operational rigor in Salesforce: track activity, manage pipeline, and forecast accurately.
  • Measure performance frequently and improve continuously.
  • Consistently exceed quota within a culture where high standards are the norm.

You have:

  • 3+ years of sales experience in a full cycle closing role with field sales experience
  • Experience exceeding sales targets, selling a diverse ecosystem of products, and closing complex deals
  • Ability to drive deals independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Business development experience (e.g. hunting and cold calling)
  • Since this is a field position, you must have reliable transportation and live in the market you are serving
  • A collaborative and team player mentality
  • Prior Salesforce experience or equivalent
  • Even better:
    • 2+ years of payment processing OR related technology (i.e. payroll, loyalty, time management)
    • 1+ years of relevant audience experience (experience working in/selling to restaurants, retailers or services based businesses)

About Gusto

At Gusto, we're on a mission to grow the small business economy. We handle the hard stuff — payroll, health insurance, 401(k)s, and HR — so owners can focus on their craft and their customers. With teams in Denver, San Francisco, and New York, we support more than 500,000 small businesses nationwide and are building a workplace that reflects the people we serve.

All full-time employees receive competitive base pay, benefits, and equity (RSUs) — because everyone who helps build Gusto should share in its success. Offer amounts are determined by role, level, and location. Learn more about our Total Rewards philosophy.

AI is a fundamental part of how work gets done at Gusto. We expect all team members to actively engage with AI tools relevant to their role and grow their fluency as the technology evolves. AI experience requirements vary by role and will be assessed during the interview process.

About the Role:

Gusto is looking for an experienced Senior Data Science Leader to empower our Sales Data team, the team that powers the insights, forecasting, and measurement infrastructure behind how we acquire, expand, and retain our revenue base.

We expect this leader to be both a strategic partner and execution-focused. You'll guide senior sales and marketing leaders through complex analytical questions, develop analysts into statistical and scientific thinkers, and collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders across Sales Operations, Data Engineering, Finance, R&D, and more.

As AI tooling becomes deeply embedded in Gusto's data infrastructure, the nature of analytics work is fundamentally shifting.  Tasks that once consumed a significant portion of our analyst's time, such as reporting, dashboard maintenance, and answering ad hoc questions, are increasingly handled by a maturing self-serve ecosystem. What remains are the hard problems: ones that require rigorous statistical thinking, causal reasoning, and the ability to draw defensible conclusions in messy, real-world conditions where controlled experiments aren't always possible.

This role has two equally important mandates. The first is operational: Gusto's sales data foundation has significant technical debt, and this leader will need to partner closely with Data Engineering to assess the current state, architect a modern and scalable data layer, and execute a phased remediation. The second is transformational: as the foundation gets rebuilt, this leader must simultaneously evolve what the team does with it: moving from a function defined by query fulfillment and reactive reporting toward one defined by advanced forecasting capabilities, causal inference, and analytical rigor. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in Sales data, a commitment to building strong foundations for scale, paired with a genuine command of experimentation and quasi-experimental methods, and can instill these capabilities across the team.

Here's what you'll do day-to-day:

  • Lead the Sales Analytics team -- Drive vision for and champion a team of data scientists and analysts to deliver impact across customer acquisition and product expansion sales teams.
  • Insights and Recommendations: Conduct deep-dive analyses to identify revenue drivers and anomalies. Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights and recommendations for senior leadership and cross-functional partners.
  • Rebuild the data foundation -- alongside Data Engineering and Service Platform partners, drive the evolution of our foundational data systems needed to build a world class sales analytics ecosystem.
  • Partner with key stakeholders -- work closely with the Chief Revenue Officer, Sales Operations, Data Engineering, and the Service Platform team to align on a shared data and infrastructure roadmap.
  • Evolve forecasting capabilities -- Evolve our sales forecasting methodology to  incorporate more rigorous analytics methods (eg propensity scoring, better seasonality controls, etc)
  • Enable self-service analytics with AI -- leverage Gusto's move toward AI-first development to create self-service analytics capabilities for operations  partners. Stay ahead of emerging AI tools that can drive efficiency and accuracy in revenue analytics.
  • Drive team excellence  -- Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing, proactive analytics team, shifting the culture from reactive query fulfillment toward strategic analysis. As AI handles more of the routine reporting, define what excellence looks like for analysts in a world where causal thinking and statistical fluency are the new baseline.
  • Act as connective tissue across the data org -- identify opportunities where deeper technical solutions (e.g., from Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, Data Science, or AI/ML Engineering) could accelerate revenue-driving analytics, and proactively bring the right partners into the conversation.

What we're looking for:

  • 10+ years of experience in data science or related fields, with at least 4+ years leading a growing analytics team.
  • Leadership with a Builder Mindset: A dynamic leader who inspires and develops teams while maintaining a “roll up your sleeves” attitude — able to step into the details when needed to build reports, run analyses, and troubleshoot.
  • Statistical and causal inference expertise -- strong command of experimental design, causal reasoning, and quasi-experimental methods (e.g., difference-in-differences, synthetic control, regression discontinuity, propensity score matching) for settings where A/B testing isn't possible. Comfortable navigating the assumptions required to make credible causal claims from observational data, and able to communicate those tradeoffs clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Revenue data systems expertise -- deep experience working with Salesforce data at scale, including understanding data extraction strategies, CRM-to-warehouse reconciliation, and the challenges of treating Salesforce as a source of truth.
  • Infrastructure-first mindset -- proven track record of inheriting messy, tech-debt-laden data environments and rebuilding foundations with long-term scalability in mind. Thinks in terms of systems, not patches.
  • Technical depth -- strong SQL skills, hands-on experience with dbt and Snowflake, comfort navigating transformation logic across multiple layers (Salesforce, BI, dbt, dashboards), and ability to mentor analysts on best practices.
  • Sales and revenue domain knowledge -- strong understanding of pipeline management, forecasting, quota and attainment tracking, acquisition and expansion motions, and cross-sell/upsell analytics in a multi-product SaaS environment.
  • Cross-functional partnership -- ability to negotiate priorities and drive shared roadmaps with platform engineering, data engineering, and sales operations teams. Can go toe-to-toe with service platform managers on technical trade-offs.
  • Change management and team development -- experience leading teams through significant transformation, raising performance expectations, coaching analysts toward more strategic work, and making tough talent decisions when needed.
  • Strong communication skills -- experience presenting infrastructure roadmaps and analytical insights to executive stakeholders, translating complex data system challenges into clear business terms.
  • AI-forward orientation -- has a clear-eyed view of how AI tooling is reshaping the analyst role. Understands that as self-serve and automation absorb routine reporting and ad hoc work, the value of the team increasingly lives in statistical rigor, causal thinking, and the ability to answer questions that can't be solved with a dashboard. Can articulate that vision compellingly and recruit, develop, and retain talent accordingly.
  • SaaS/Growth Background: Proven track record of successfully building and leading analytics functions in a high-growth SaaS or technology environment.

Our annual base salary compensation range for this role is $218,000 - $255,000 in San Francisco & New York, and $185,000 - $217,000 in Denver. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above.

Gusto has physical office spaces in Denver, San Francisco, and New York City. Employees who are based in those locations will be expected to work from the office on designated days approximately 2-3 days per week (or more depending on role). The same office expectations apply to all Symmetry roles, Gusto's subsidiary, whose physical office is in Scottsdale.

Note: The San Francisco office expectations encompass both the San Francisco and San Jose metro areas.

When approved to work from a location other than a Gusto office, a secure, reliable, and consistent internet connection is required. This includes non-office days for hybrid employees.

Our customers come from all walks of life and so do we. We hire great people from a wide variety of backgrounds, not just because it's the right thing to do, but because it makes our company stronger. If you share our values and our enthusiasm for small businesses, you will find a home at Gusto.

Fintech sits at the intersection of regulated finance and consumer-grade software, and FinJobsly tracks the people building it. Every role on this page comes from a primary employer ATS or trusted partner — Stripe, Revolut, Wise, Monzo, Starling, Klarna, GoCardless, Adyen, Tide, Brex, Plaid, Affirm, Carta and several hundred others — so you only see live, currently-hiring positions instead of stale aggregator copies.

We split fintech hiring into the buckets that actually map to job ladders: payments and money movement, neobanking, lending and credit, wealth and wealth-tech, RegTech and compliance, and the platform/infrastructure layer used by all of the above. Filters along the side let you narrow by remote-first vs hybrid, seniority, contract type, and base salary band, while the keyword search reads the full job description (not just the title) so a search for “PSD2” or “KYC” surfaces roles even when the title is something generic like “Senior Backend Engineer”.

If you are early in your career, the entry-level and graduate filter highlights structured programmes at Monzo, Revolut and Wise. Mid- and senior-level engineers will find a strong skew toward Go, TypeScript, Kotlin and Python, while product, design and risk functions are dominated by London, Berlin, New York, Singapore and remote-EMEA postings. Salary benchmarks shown on each card are sourced from posted ranges where the employer publishes them, never from third-party guesses, so the numbers you see are the numbers you can negotiate against.

FinJobsly is built specifically for fintech: jobs are auto-tagged with the exact stack and regulatory regime mentioned in the description, duplicate listings from the same ATS are collapsed, and roles older than 30 days drop off automatically. The result is a clean, opinionated board where every click goes to a real role you can apply to today.

Direct-to-employer applications

Apply links go straight to the employer's ATS — no recruiter middlemen, no expired postings.

Salary transparency where available

Where employers publish salary bands we surface them on the card; where they don't we mark it explicitly.

Built-in role filters

Slice live listings by remote, seniority, contract type, stack and regulatory experience.
