Technical Program Manager, Extensibility Platform (CA)
Who we are
About Stripe
Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies—from the world's largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups—use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone's reach while doing the most important work of your career.
About the team
The Developer Experience and Product Platform (DEeP) organization empowers all of Stripe's products with a shared product platform that delivers high-quality, consistent, cross-product experiences across our UI and API surfaces. DEeP focuses on providing a scalable developer experience that any developer can leverage to accelerate a customer's ability to create value from Stripe.
Within DEeP, the Extensibility program is how Stripe expands its total addressable market and increases customer retention. With extensibility, Stripe becomes programmable — customers and product teams can adapt Stripe to their needs on a common platform.
Stripe has three interconnected extensibility primitives.
- Scripts — Secure, isolated TypeScript runtime allowing merchants and developers to customize Stripe product behavior (e.g., discount calculations, invoice logic, proration).
- Custom Objects — User-defined data models (e.g., Shipments, Locations, Warranties, Entitlements) with first-class APIs, SDKs, and Dashboard experiences.
- Workflows — A programmable orchestration layer (graduating to GA at Sessions) enabling no-code and pro-code business logic across Stripe, including custom actions, delays, smart retries, and 3P integrations.
These primitives are deeply interdependent, involve 10+ cross-functional teams, and culminate in a flagship product launch.
What you'll do
We're seeking a product-focused Technical Program Manager to drive the Extensibility program across the Workflows, Custom Objects, and Scripts workstreams. This is a newly created, high-impact role at the intersection of platform engineering, product management, and cross-organizational program ownership.
In this role, you'll own one of the most strategically consequential programs in DEeP — driving the direction, health, and outcomes of Stripe's Extensibility platform across Scripts, Custom Objects, and Workflows. You'll set the program strategy in partnership with DEeP leadership, holding organizations accountable to the success of the program.
Responsibilities
- Drive cross-org decisions across DRIs in Script Platform, Custom Objects, Apps, SDK, Observability, DevEx, and Versioning — actively resolving the hard, ambiguous integration and ownership questions that fall between team boundaries.
- Own the critical path to major launches — proactively shaping scope, driving descope decisions, and negotiating trade-offs across teams so that launches reflect deliberate strategic choices.
- Influence and shape product and engineering roadmaps — bringing a program-level perspective to team planning cycles, pushing back where individual team roadmaps are misaligned with broader extensibility strategy, and advocating for cross-cutting investments that no single team will prioritize on their own.
- Support ProServ and Partnerships — ensure ProServ and Partnerships requirements surface in the roadmap with the same rigor as product requirements, and hold the bridge between what the platform delivers and what those teams need to close and serve complex customers.
Who you are
We're looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.
Minimum requirements
- 5+ years of technical program management experience with demonstrated success in driving complex cross-organizational programs.
- Strong product sense and ability to understand enterprise customer needs
- Demonstrated ability to communicate with precision and credibility across engineering, product, and executive audiences, translating complex technical trade-offs into strategic decisions, and driving alignment.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and align cross-functional teams — driving decisions, resolving conflict, and building consensus across organizations with competing priorities.
- Proven track record of successful program delivery in complex technical environments
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
Preferred qualifications
- Background in product management or product operations
- Experience with developer platforms, API products, or payment systems

THE WORK:
As the Senior Director of Security Engineering, you will be responsible for building and leading a dedicated, humble, and paranoid team of Security Engineers to secure Ripple's products, infrastructure, and corporate IT systems. You will play a substantial role in defining the security strategy and encouraging a culture of security across the entire company. Your leadership will be crucial in protecting our business and our customers by embedding security into every layer of our technology stack.
This is a hands-on role and requires a deep understanding of technology. AI is fundamentally reshaping how we build software and how our tools and systems operate, and this role sits at the center of that challenge. You will ensure our use of AI tooling and agentic workflows is secure, controlled, and auditable.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Set the strategic vision and roadmap for the Security Engineering team, focusing on product security, infrastructure security, and IT security, with a particular focus on AI security, including agentic guardrails and AI-assisted development risk.
- Serve as a security domain expert, providing guidance and communicating security risks and concepts to senior leadership, engineering teams, and other partners.
- Define guardrails around AI agents and tools operating within Ripple's environment, including scope boundaries, blast radius limits, and rollback mechanisms.
- Implement and enforce agentic SDLC guardrails, testing gates, and human oversight of AI-assisted development workflows.
- Lead, mentor, and strengthen a team of security engineers, cultivating an atmosphere that values technical excellence, continual learning, and innovation.
- Drive the implementation of security guidelines across the engineering organization, ensuring security is integrated into day-to-day development processes.
- Lead security architecture reviews for new products, infrastructure changes, and major engineering initiatives, serving as a formal checkpoint before systems go to production.
- Own the vulnerability management program, including coordinating penetration testing, prioritizing remediation, and partnering with engineering teams to close risk at pace.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and IT leadership to ensure alignment on security priorities and to champion security outcomes on behalf of our customers.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
- 15+ years of experience in security engineering, with at least 5+ years in a leadership or management role, preferably in the crypto, blockchain, or FinTech space.
- Hands-on expertise in AI security: a clear understanding of the risk surface introduced by LLMs, AI agents, and AI-assisted development workflows, and how to build guardrails around them.
- Expert-level knowledge of security architecture, including cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure), modern application stacks, and network security.
- Strong understanding of cryptographic principles, secure coding practices, and common web and blockchain vulnerabilities (e.g., OWASP Top 10).
- Experience with authentication and authorization standards (OAuth, SAML, OIDC) and their security implications.
- Demonstrated expertise in IT security, including endpoint protection, network security, identity and access management (IAM), and corporate security policy enforcement.
- Hands-on experience with threat modeling methodologies and risk identification techniques.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts and security risks to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- A track record of fostering a positive security culture within an organization and proven experience leading and building a high-performing security team.

Product Manager, Cash Platform
Who we are
About Stripe
Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies—from the world's largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups—use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone's reach while doing the most important work of your career.
About the team
This role is open to remote candidates located anywhere within the Eastern Time Zone. The Cash Platform team is part of Stripe's Money Movement Services Platform. We manage Stripe's FX and cash positions across the globe, owning two of the most commercially critical problems in our business: delivering the best possible FX trades for our users, and optimizing the cost and routing of cross-border payouts across countries. Stripe recently launched its own in-house bank, enabling near-instant movement of funds across accounts worldwide—and Cash Platform is at the center of bringing that infrastructure to Stripe's products and, increasingly, to our customers.
What you'll do
You'll work closely with engineering teams across Cash Platform and Money Movement Services, cross-functional partners spanning Legal, Treasury, Financial Crimes, and Sales, and senior stakeholders inside and outside Stripe. You'll define the strategy and roadmap for Stripe's FX and cross-border payout products, drive cost optimization and routing decisions at scale, and help shape the path toward monetizing Stripe's in-house banking infrastructure for users globally.
Responsibilities
You are expected to:
- Deeply understand the competitive landscape and define clear benchmarks for where Stripe's FX and cross-border payout products need to be
- Own the product strategy and roadmap for Cash Platform, balancing near-term cost and performance optimization with longer-term platform monetization opportunities
- Drive API design and technical decisions in close partnership with engineering leads, ensuring our infrastructure is both best-in-class and commercially oriented
- Lead cross-functional initiatives across Money Movement, Sales, and partner teams to accelerate delivery and adoption of FX and payout products
- Engage with senior customer and internal stakeholders to communicate roadmap direction, surface requirements, and build alignment
- Own decisions directly impacting the revenue and cost profile of Stripe's money movement business
Who you are
This role is open to remote candidates located anywhere within the Eastern Time Zone. We're looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.
Minimum requirements
- 5+ years of product management experience
- Technically deep: You have a strong technical foundation—ideally as a former engineer or data scientist—and are comfortable owning API design decisions and understanding systems end-to-end, including what is expensive from a cost and latency perspective
- Business-minded: You make decisions through the lens of revenue and commercial impact; this is infrastructure, not consumer product, and you understand the difference
- Cross-functional by default: You thrive in environments where success requires tight coordination across engineering, finance, legal, compliance, and sales—not working in silos
- Domain experienced: You've worked on FX, cross-border payments, treasury, or similar financial infrastructure at companies like Airwallex, Wise, Revolut, Payoneer, Ramp, or a major financial institution
- Strong executor: You move with speed and urgency, can manage complexity across multiple workstreams, and have a track record of shipping in ambiguous, high-stakes environments
- Strong communicator: You radiate intent—partners, stakeholders, and leaders know where you stand, what's blocked, and what's coming next
