You’ll own the general direct and indirect tax ledgers, handle monthly accruals, post tax journals, perform reconciliations, and support VAT and corporate tax filings, provisioning and audit processes.
At least 3 years of hands‑on tax or general‑ledger accounting experience, preferably with regional tax exposure, strong stakeholder collaboration, detail‑orientation and an analytical/automation mindset; Workday experience is a plus.
Accurate tax accounting ensures compliance and supports Adyen’s rapid global growth, feeding reliable financial reporting and effective tax rate calculations for the listed fintech platform.

Adyen is looking for an Indirect Tax Accountant to join Group Finance in Amsterdam. As an Indirect Tax Accountant, you will be primarily focussed on ensuring accurate GL accounting of indirect taxes. You will interact and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders in order to support our continued business growth in a scalable, controlled and compliant way. The ideal candidate takes ownership and has a drive to understand these and is able to tie this back to where we’re heading as a Group globally.
Being part of the centralized Finance Operations team in Amsterdam means you’ll be working in the (financial) engine room of a registered and listed financial institution; being part of a relatively small team means you’ll be (in)directly involved in a lot of very interesting topics that reach beyond the tax borders.
