Sales Engineer, Banking
The world of digital assets is accelerating in speed, magnitude, and complexity, opening the door to new ways for leveraging the blockchain. Fireblocks’ platform and network provide the simplest and most secure way for companies to work with digital assets and it trusted by some of the largest financial institutions, banks, globally-recognized brands, and Web3 companies in the world, including BNY Mellon, BNP Paribas, ANZ Bank, Revolut, and thousands more.
About the Role
The Sales Engineer, Banking is a technically credible, commercially aware member of the EMEA SE team, responsible for the full technical sales cycle across banking opportunities in Western and Central Europe.
This is not a generalist SE role. You will be expected to engage deeply with treasury operations leads, custody technologists, CISOs, and risk committees inside Tier 1 and Tier 2 banks. You will need to understand how institutional banking technology works — core banking platforms, custody and settlement infrastructure, ISO 20022 and SWIFT messaging, and post-trade workflows — and be able to position Fireblocks clearly within that context. You will work closely with Banking-aligned Sales Directors across your region, taking primary responsibility for technical qualification, PoC delivery, RFP responses, and solution design from first engagement through to onboarding handoff.
What You'll Do
Technical Pre-Sales
- Lead technical qualification for banking opportunities, distinguishing genuine digital asset programmes from exploratory noise
- Deliver tailored product demonstrations to technical and executive audiences across custody, settlement, treasury, and compliance use cases
- Scope, design, and deliver Proofs of Concept in bank environments — including navigating infosec review, sandbox provisioning, and API integration testing
- Produce and own RFP, RFI, and DDQ responses for banking prospects, maintaining accuracy against Fireblocks' external security and compliance attestations
- Present Fireblocks' security architecture to CISOs, CROs, risk committees, and product and business line leads with appropriate institutional credibility
Solution Design & Client Engagement
- Translate institutional banking requirements — custody flows, settlement logic, treasury management, regulatory reporting — into Fireblocks solution architectures
- Engage directly with bank technology teams on API integration patterns, core banking middleware, and operational workflow design
- Co-develop technical account plans with Sales Directors, identifying the path from initial engagement to production deployment
- Contribute to deal strategy on competitive situations, particularly against technology-first custody competitors
Cross-Functional Contribution
- Act as the voice of the banking client in internal product and roadmap discussions
- Contribute reusable technical content — solution briefs, reference architectures, PoC templates — that scale across the Banking vertical
- Support onboarding handoff to Professional Services, ensuring continuity from sales into delivery
- Participate in the EMEA SE enablement programme, contributing to banking-specific sessions and peer knowledge transfer
What You'll Bring
- 3–8 years in a pre-sales, solutions engineering, or technical consulting role, selling into or supporting Tier 1 or Tier 2 banks, financial market infrastructure, or capital markets firms
- Direct experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise sales cycles in regulated financial institutions
- Demonstrable track record of scoping and delivering PoCs or technical pilots in bank environments
- Experience authoring RFP/RFI responses and engaging with bank procurement, legal, and infosec processes
- Exposure to digital asset, tokenisation, or blockchain initiatives whether from a technology vendor, infrastructure provider, or within a bank's innovation function
Technical Knowledge
- Working understanding of institutional banking architecture: core banking platforms (Temenos, Finastra, Murex, Calypso or similar), custody infrastructure, or post-trade settlement systems
- Familiarity with financial messaging standards: ISO 20022, SWIFT MT/MX, or equivalent settlement and payment protocols
- Comfort with API-led integration patterns; able to engage credibly in technical discussions with bank engineering and middleware teams
- Understanding of cryptographic key management concepts, hardware security modules, or MPC/TSS architecture (formal training provided)
- Awareness of MiCA, DORA, or equivalent EMEA regulatory requirements as they affect digital asset operations in banks
Skills & Attributes
- Credible with senior institutional stakeholders CISO, CTO, Head of Digital Assets, treasury operations leads, and product and business line owners — not only with technical teams
- Structured, precise communicator: able to write clearly, present confidently, and adapt register for technical and non-technical audiences
- Commercially aware: understands deal economics, qualification discipline, and what constitutes productive SE engagement
- Self-directed and organised, capable of running multiple active opportunities simultaneously without close supervision
- A European language an advantage
For employees hired to work from the EU, Fireblocks is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This range is specific to Germany and takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are reviewed when making a hiring decision, such as years of experience, skills, and other business needs. It is not typical for a candidate to be hired at or near the top of the pay range and each compensation decision is dependent on each individual case. A reasonable base salary range estimate for this position is €80,000 – €110,000. The base salary is one component of the total compensation package, which for some roles may include a target bonus, a very competitive equity grant, and very generous benefits.
While we believe competitive compensation is a critical aspect of your decision to join us, we do hope you also spend time considering why our mission and culture are right for you. We are creating something transformational here, and we hope you are as excited about the future as we are.
Fireblocks' mission is to enable every business to easily and securely access digital assets and cryptocurrencies. In order to do that, we strongly believe our workforce should be as diverse as our clients, and this is why we embrace diversity and inclusion in all its forms.

Product Manager , Developer Experience
The world of digital assets is accelerating in speed, magnitude, and complexity, opening the door to new ways for leveraging the blockchain. Fireblocks’ platform and network provide the simplest and most secure way for companies to work with digital assets and it trusted by some of the largest financial institutions, banks, globally-recognized brands, and Web3 companies in the world, including BNY Mellon, BNP Paribas, ANZ Bank, Revolut, and thousands more.
About the Role
The majority of Fireblocks customers consume our APIs to build products on top of the platform, and that share has grown substantially over the past years and continues to grow steadily. Developers are the most strategically important customer segment we have, and this role owns how they experience Fireblocks: defining what it means to build on our platform, making our APIs and infrastructure something developers choose and trust, and closing the gap between what we've built and the potential it represents. This role is central to how Fireblocks grows as a platform business.
What You'll Own
- The developer platform product area end to end, from the tools developers use to discover and test our APIs to the reliability of the infrastructure their integrations depend on
- The developer experience: what it feels like to build on Fireblocks, where the friction is, and how we close the gap
- The developer persona inside Platform, carrying it into roadmap decisions, cross-functional planning, and conversations with customers
- The quality bar for API contracts and developer-facing surfaces across Fireblocks
What the Work Actually Looks Like
- Talking to developers to understand their real business problems, then translating those into product decisions rather than feature requests
- Deciding what to build, what to defer, and why, across a product area where the right trade-off isn't always obvious
- Defining the problem clearly enough that the solution has a chance of actually working: writing specs, challenging assumptions, and pressure-testing ideas with engineering and design before anything gets built
- Tracking whether what shipped solved the problem, and being honest when it didn't
Required Qualifications
- You've written production code, and you actively use that background when making product decisions: reviewing API designs, identifying what makes an integration painful, and knowing when something is being built the wrong way
- 5+ years of PM experience owning a developer-facing or platform product area, not individual features within one
Nice to Have
- Experience in fintech, crypto, or digital asset infrastructure
- Prior work on PLG or self-serve developer journeys

We are motivated individuals who tackle unique technical challenges at scale and solve them as a team. Together, we deliver innovative and ethical solutions that help businesses achieve their ambitions faster.
Staff Java Engineer - Merchant Fraud Prevention
As a Staff Software Engineer in the Merchant Fraud Prevention group, you will serve as the core architect and strategic engineering partner for our fraud detection and mitigation ecosystems. You will define the long-term technical vision across 2–3 engineering teams, ensuring our Platforms can detect and prevent evolving fraud vectors at scale. Beyond technical leadership, you will be a key force multiplier, acting as a strategic advisor to engineering leadership, bridging the gap between business strategy and execution, and actively mentoring and growing our senior Individual Contributors (ICs).
What you'll do
- Technical Strategic & Architecture: Own the multi-year technical north star vision for the group, together with the technical leads of each team in the group. Design and evolve high-throughput, low-latency distributed systems capable of processing real-time merchant transactions, integrating complex machine learning models, and handling massive big data pipelines.

- Product Strategy: Shape the strategic roadmap alongside the Director of Engineering, fellow Staff Engineers, and Product leadership.
- Cross-Team Alignment: Establish consistent architectural patterns, engineering practices, and quality bars across 3 fraud-focused teams. Bring clarity to ambiguity as new fraud vectors and product requirements emerge.

Who You Are:
- Technical leader: A track record of setting technical strategy through architectural judgment and clear communication via influence, not organizational authority.
- Distributed Systems Expertise: Deep experience designing and operating large-scale, production-grade distributed systems with a focus on reliability, performance, and resilience.
- ML Systems Experience: Comfortable architecting the infrastructure layer around ML workloads (e.g., feature stores, real-time inference pipelines, model serving) even without being an ML practitioner yourself; strong appetite for close, ongoing collaboration with Data Science/ML Engineering.
- Operationally Minded: Experience partnering with operational teams (e.g., Fraud Ops, Compliance) to turn real-world investigative signals into scalable engineering solutions; basic familiarity with security-by-design and regulated data handling is a plus.
- Proactive relationship-builder: led partnerships across SWE, MLE, Product, Operations, and Compliance to align technical direction, drive clarity through ambiguity, and balance immediate product needs with long-term platform investments.
- Applied ML/AI Experience (nice to have): You have experience in building production-grade interfaces powered by LLMs, including harnesses, policy enforcement, evals, RAG architectures and secure data handling.

Our unique approach is a product of our diverse perspectives. This diversity of backgrounds and cultures is essential in helping us maintain our momentum. Our business and technical challenges are unique, and we need as many different voices as possible to join us in solving them - voices like yours. - Drive client satisfaction and engagement, proactively checking in on health, identifying risks early, and developing strategies to address them before they escalate.
- Build new relationships and maintain existing ones, establishing yourself as a trusted advisor who understands each client's business, structure, and long-term goals.
- Identify and progress cross-sell and upsell opportunities in close partnership with sales, translating client needs into commercial conversations that benefit both the client and Carta Law.
- Collaborate with legal delivery to ensure smooth onboarding experiences and seamless handoffs, acting as the connective tissue between clients and internal teams.
- Work with marketing and operations on client communications, campaigns, feedback loops, and process improvements that improve the client experience at scale.
- Act as the voice of the client internally - synthesising feedback, usage signals, and relationship intelligence to influence service design, product prioritisation, and go-to-market strategy.
- Leverage CS tooling and emerging AI capabilities to manage your portfolio efficiently, track account health, log activity, and personalise engagement at scale.
The Team You'll Work With
You’ll be joining our Carta Law, Customer Success team. Our team manages the full client lifecycle - from welcoming new clients through onboarding, to building deep, lasting relationships with established fund managers and their legal teams.

About You
We're looking for a client-focused, commercially aware professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-ambiguity environment. You bring genuine curiosity to every client conversation, and you have the emotional intelligence to build trust quickly across a range of stakeholders. You're a clear, confident communicator who can translate complexity into clarity — whether you're speaking with a first-time fund manager or a seasoned GC.
Specifically, we're looking for:
- 5+ years of experience in Customer Success or Account Management, ideally within SaaS or professional/legal services. You know how to manage a varied book of business, balance competing priorities, and build trust with sophisticated stakeholders.
- Full lifecycle client ownership. You're comfortable managing clients from day one through to mature, complex relationships - and you know how to adapt your approach at each stage.
- Cross-functional collaboration. You work naturally across delivery, sales, marketing, and operations teams. You know how to marshal internal resources to get things done for clients and push the right levers to drive commercial outcomes.
- Strong commercial instincts. You spot cross-sell and upsell opportunities organically through client conversations and know how to partner with sales to take them forward.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills. You can break down complex legal, financial, or operational concepts for any audience. You write clearly, speak with confidence, and know how to tailor your message.
- High emotional intelligence. You read rooms well, build rapport quickly, and know how to navigate difficult conversations with empathy and professionalism.
- High tolerance for ambiguity and adaptability. You thrive in a high-paced, evolving environment where priorities can shift quickly. You view ambiguity as an opportunity rather than a blocker, and you bring structure and calm where others might struggle.
- Genuine curiosity. You ask good questions. You want to understand how your clients' businesses actually work, and you use that understanding to add real value.
- Experience with CS tools and/or AI in practice. You're comfortable using CS platforms and you're either already using AI tools to work smarter, or you're eager to.
- Prior experience in the legal industry is a significant advantage. Whether you've worked at a law firm, a legal tech company, or within an in-house legal function, that context will help you hit the ground running.
- Prior experience in private markets is a significant advantage. Familiarity with venture capital, private equity, or fund operations gives you an immediate leg up in understanding our clients' world.

Frontend Software Engineer II - Technical Operations
Toast creates technology to help restaurants and local businesses succeed in a digital world, helping business owners operate, increase sales, engage customers, and keep employees happy.
The Technical Operations team makes Toast's engineering measurable. We connect tool and resource usage, engineering metrics, and customer outcomes into a single, trusted picture that executives, engineering managers, and developers use every day. If you are passionate about visualizing complex business and engineering processes in a way that makes it easy for teams to spot bottlenecks and opportunities before they escalate into major problems, optimize how resources are used, and ultimately improve the customer experience, this team is for you.
We are a small, highly leveraged team. We index heavily into agentic engineering: AI agents are part of how we design, build, test, and operate our systems, and we expect you to learn and grow with those tools every day.
A day in the life (Responsibilities)
- Own the UI and presentation layer of our internal tools and reporting: role-based dashboards, scorecards, and workflow tools that let leaders at every level see engineering health, AI and tooling spend, and cost data for their teams, and act on it
- Design and deliver end-to-end user stories, from the data a view consumes to the experience in front of the user, turning dense, multi-source data and manual processes into clear visualizations and streamlined workflows
- Partner with our Product Owner to identify and define the biggest opportunities for impact, and collaborate with the team's technical lead on end-to-end solutions
- Act as a component owner: break work down into well-defined tasks, drive delivery against the team's goals, and manage the quality, testing, and operational monitoring of what you ship
- Iterate with our internal users (executives, engineering managers, and developers) to continuously improve the fidelity and usability of our tools and reporting
- Use AI-assisted and agentic development workflows as a core part of how you build, and share what you learn with the team
- Leverage cutting edge AI tools to enhance your development workflow, improve velocity, and help pioneer new approaches to building - contributing to a culture of innovation and productivity across the team.
What you'll need to thrive (Requirements)
- 2+ years of frontend or full-stack software engineering experience, building data-rich user interfaces and internal tools that automate manual business/operational processes
- Proficiency in a modern web stack (for example TypeScript/JavaScript and a component-based UI framework), plus working knowledge of SQL and how to consume APIs and data services
- Hands-on use of AI-assisted and agentic development as a core part of how you build: you work with AI agents daily, not occasionally, and take ownership of the quality of everything they produce
- An eye for information design: you care about making complex data legible, trustworthy, and useful to non-technical audiences
- Ownership of quality for the work you ship, including appropriate testing, monitoring, and supporting your work in production
- Strong collaboration skills: you communicate clearly with engineers, product, and business stakeholders, and adapt technical detail to the audience
- Curiosity and a growth mindset: you seek feedback, embrace change, and want to grow toward broader ownership
