We’re committed to building a diverse team and inclusive culture and believe your potential should only be limited by how big you can dream. We make this a reality by empowering you with the tools, resources, and support you need to grow your career.
Legal at Brex
The Legal team helps the company grow responsibly, advocating for Brex and for the thousands of growing businesses we serve. We provide strategic advice and guidance to all Brex teams, protect Brex, advise on risk, and represent the company externally, negotiating with partners and interacting with regulators. Reimagining the financial system in a highly regulated environment requires creativity and resourcefulness, and we welcome the challenge.
What you'll do
You will help us build, globally scale, and continuously improve our bill pay product and adjacent payments offerings. You'll be a subject matter expert on money transmission and payments regulation, providing strategic advice on risk and regulatory ambiguity as we ship new features. Embedded with engineering, design, and product, you'll partner from the earliest stages of ideation through launch—translating complex regulatory requirements into practical product decisions and helping the team move fast without compromising on compliance. You'll also collaborate closely with cross-functional partners (including compliance, risk, marketing, sales, partnerships, and bank and payments-network relationships) to find creative solutions to business problems. You know how to break a project down into first principles and see it from concept to release, and you understand when to solve a problem in-house versus when to strategically and cost-effectively deploy outside counsel.
Where you’ll work
This role will be based in our Seattle office. We are a hybrid environment that combines the energy and connections of being in the office with the benefits and flexibility of working from home. We currently require a minimum of three coordinated days in the office per week, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. As a perk, we also have up to four weeks per year of fully remote work!
Responsibilities
- Serve as the embedded legal partner to engineering, design, and product teams building bill pay and payments features, advising in real time as products are designed and built
- Provide pragmatic, actionable advice on money transmission requirements and best practices for existing and new bill pay and payments products
- Advise on the regulatory implications of product architecture, payment flows, fund movement, and feature design, helping teams make sound build-versus-defer decisions
- Advise a variety of cross-functional partners on critical money transmission and payments regulatory questions
- Track and analyze US state and federal money transmission laws, along with relevant international payments regulations, and help Brex stay ahead of regulatory change affecting bill pay
- Advise on product and marketing collateral, customer communications, and disclosures for bill pay and payments products
- Draft, update, and maintain customer agreements, terms, and disclosures for bill pay and money movement products
- Support licensing, bank partner, and payments-network requirements as they relate to product launches
Requirements
- 4+ years working experience in a combination of law firms and fintech companies, ideally advising on money transmission, payments, and money movement matters for regulated financial products
- Familiarity with federal, state, and international money transmission and payments laws and regulations, including state money transmitter licensing, the Bank Secrecy Act/AML requirements, EFTA/Regulation E, NACHA operating rules, and required disclosures
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, both internal (memos, guides, presentations) and external (customer agreements, terms, disclosures, customer communications)
- Ownership mentality and comfort working on complex matters that require sound judgment
- Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Law degree and admitted to practice in at least one jurisdiction
- Willingness to be a team player who pitches in to help out on other products and topics; one of our key tenets is "One Brex"
Bonus Points
- Prior in-house counsel experience at a scaling fintech, payments, or money movement company
- Experience negotiating with or managing bank partner and payments-network relationships
- Experience interacting directly with regulatory agencies
Compensation
The expected salary range for this role is $220,000 - $270,000 USD. However, the starting base pay will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate’s location, skills, experience, market demands, and internal pay parity. Depending on the position offered, equity and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package.

Growth Workflow Specialist, Organic Growth
Data Analyst, Product
Head of Finance & Custody - VARA
Engineering Director, Security

After starting as a prepaid card, our product offering has grown a lot in the last 10 years in the UK. As well as personal and business bank accounts, we offer joint accounts, accounts for 16-17 year olds, a free kids account and credit cards in the UK, with more exciting things to come beyond. Our UK customers can also save, invest and combine their pensions with us.
With our hot coral cards and get-paid-early feature, combined with financial education on social media and our award winning customer service, we have a long history of creating magical moments for our customers!
We’re not about selling products - we want to solve problems and change lives through Monzo ❤️
📍London or Remote (UK) | 💰 Base salary £170k - £200k + Equity + Benefits
Monzo is on a mission to build technology that connects the world. We are more than a platform; we are a global infrastructure that millions of people rely on for their daily lives, finances, and communication. This puts us in an incredibly unique position. We are the custodians of immense amounts of sensitive financial data as well as people’s money that are highly attractive to sophisticated adversaries and state-level actors.
Monzo has always adopted a Secure by Design model. We believe that security is not a function, but is instead a fundamental property of high-quality engineering. We have a world-class team of software and security engineers who ensure our platform is inherently secure and resilient, and we achieve that by making our security principles an invisible part of the developer experience.
The Role
The Engineering Director, Security will be a senior leader within our global Security organisation, partnering directly with the CISO and other senior engineering leaders. You will lead an organisation of 30–50 engineers and leaders to define and deliver a strategy that protects our global footprint.
We’re looking for a deeply technical software engineering leader who has built and led high performing infrastructure, platform, or distributed systems engineering organisations and can apply those skills to one of Monzo’s most important engineering challenges: making security an embedded, invisible property of how we build software.
You do not need to come from a traditional security background. We care more about exceptional engineering leadership, organisational design, platform thinking, and strong technical judgement than deep specialisation in security.
What you'll do
- Drive the secure-by-design mandate, leading the transition from reactive security to proactive architectural invariants. Your goal is to ensure that our core platform primitives - compute, storage, networking and identity - are built with inherent security properties that cannot be bypassed.
- Eliminate systemic risk by identifying fundamental, cross-cutting security problems and driving major software engineering improvements to solve them at the root.
- Partner with product and software engineering teams to embed a healthy security culture into Monzo’s product development process.
- Cultivate an engineering-first culture, fostering a culture where security engineers are, first and foremost, software engineers. You’ll ensure your teams are delivering high-leverage tools and frameworks that enable the data and software engineering disciplines to move at the speed-of-thought, without compromising security.
- Manage a high-performing group of software engineering leaders and senior individual contributors, nurturing a diverse organisation that thrives on solving the world’s most complex security challenges.
- Collaborate with software engineering managers and engineering leaders to contribute to company-wide security best practices and standards.
- Form a close alliance with the CISO, CTO, and Product leaders to advise on the long-term health of the business, ensuring our security roadmap is aligned with our global mission.
Responsible for the engineering effectiveness and operational excellence of your teams, setting a high bar for performance, rigour, and inclusive leadership.
What we are looking for
We are looking for a leader who has been in the weeds of technical detail and has moved into high-scale leadership without losing their technical edge. This is not a traditional Head of Security or CISO-style role, and we are intentionally looking beyond career security specialists.
Strong candidates may come from software engineering, distributed systems, developer platforms, infrastructure engineering, or large-scale backend product engineering backgrounds. You do not need to have spent your career in security. What matters most is exceptional engineering leadership, strong technical judgement, and experience building highly reliable, secure-by-default software systems at scale.
Whilst this role doesn’t require deep specialist security expertise, we’re looking for:
- Architectural authority: You possess the technical depth to understand and challenge complex engineering decisions. You can lead a room of Principal Engineers through a deep-dive into distributed systems, or cryptographic trust boundaries.
- Proven leadership: You have a track record of leading engineering organisations of 30–50 people in a high-growth, top-tier tech environment. You know how to structure teams for maximum impact and autonomy.
- Software engineering experience: You likely spent the first half of your career as a Senior or Staff Engineer. You have a deep understanding of how systems are built.
- Outcome-obsessed: You prioritise high-leverage work over process for process’s sake. You understand that good security looks like a platform that is secure by default, not a long list of compliance tickets.
- Empathy & inclusion: You have a high degree of emotional intelligence and a relentless drive to create an inclusive, blameless team environment where everyone can do their best work.
- Decisiveness in ambiguity: You are comfortable operating with a high degree of autonomy, making high-stakes decisions in fast-moving, often time-sensitive scenarios.

Senior Performance Marketing Manager, GTM Experimentation
About Gusto
At Gusto, we're on a mission to grow the small business economy. We handle the hard stuff — payroll, health insurance, 401(k)s, and HR — so owners can focus on their craft and their customers. With teams in Denver, San Francisco, and New York, we support more than 500,000 small businesses nationwide and are building a workplace that reflects the people we serve.
All full-time employees receive competitive base pay, benefits, and equity (RSUs) — because everyone who helps build Gusto should share in its success. Offer amounts are determined by role, level, and location. Learn more about our Total Rewards philosophy.
AI is a fundamental part of how work gets done at Gusto. We expect all team members to actively engage with AI tools relevant to their role and grow their fluency as the technology evolves. AI experience requirements vary by role and will be assessed during the interview process.
About the Role
Gusto is looking for a seasoned performance marketer to own execution across paid social and emerging acquisition channels — testing new platforms, formats, and tactics to find what works before scaling. This is a high-visibility role at the intersection of performance marketing, channel experimentation, and AI-powered workflow design. You will own execution and day-to-day strategy for paid social and new channel tests, working within Gusto's demand generation framework, with clear accountability to pipeline and revenue targets.
About the Team
As a member of Gusto’s Demand Generation team, you will be embedded specifically within Paid Acquisition, a focused group responsible for driving awareness and pipeline through paid media. This team operates with high autonomy, a bias for experimentation, and a culture of cross-functional partnership. We hold ourselves to a high standard, move fast, and genuinely believe that being AI-native is part of what it means to do this job well today.
Here's what you'll do day-to-day:
- Own paid social strategy and execution across Meta, LinkedIn, Reddit, Quora, and TikTok, driving full-funnel campaigns from brand awareness through retargeting and conversion, with accountability to pipeline and revenue targets.
- Manage significant, multi-million dollar budgets with rigor, including campaign pacing, forecasting, budget-vs-actuals analysis, and making the case for paid social investment in imperfect attribution environments.
- Apply and help refine Gusto's paid acquisition measurement framework, including attribution philosophy and budget allocation principles, in partnership with the broader marketing team.
- Lead creative strategy and testing at scale: briefing creative studios and agencies, structuring meaningful experiments, interpreting complex data sets to drive actionable insights, and building a clear learning roadmap.
- Serve as the team's go-to expert on paid social and AI-powered marketing workflows, documenting playbooks and best practices for the paid acquisition team.
- Identify, test, and validate new digital media channels and formats beyond core paid social — such as Google Demand Generation campaigns and ChatGPT ads — running structured pilots, defining success criteria upfront, and making the call on scale vs. kill within existing budget guardrails.
- Support new product launches from 0-1 by building and executing the paid acquisition plan for launch moments — channel mix, budget, creative, and timeline — in partnership with Integrated Marketing and Product Marketing.
- Partner with Web Marketing to align on landing page strategy, message match, and post-click conversion, because paid social performance doesn't end at the click.
- Use AI tools as a consistent, habitual part of your workflow: generating campaign briefs, developing copy variants, accelerating audience research, and building reusable systems that raise the bar for the whole team.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Integrated Marketing, Product Marketing, Sales, Communications, and Web to align paid social with integrated campaigns and earned media moments, and bring performance data back upstream to influence creative production and asset strategy.
Here's what we're looking for:
- 7+ years of performance marketing experience at a B2B SaaS, performance marketing agency, or high-growth consumer organization, with deep expertise in paid social and a track record of testing and scaling new channels.
- Full-funnel ownership across two or more major paid social platforms (Meta, LinkedIn, Reddit, Quora, TikTok), including deep, hands-on, in-platform execution (campaign builds, audience/targeting strategy, creative testing, bid/budget management), with significant budget responsibility and a track record of driving measurable pipeline impact.
- Strong creative strategy and testing instincts: you know how to structure a test, distinguish a learning from a result, and translate performance data into creative direction.
- AI-fluent in practice, not just in theory; you use AI tools consistently in your day-to-day workflow to accelerate briefs, copy, and analysis, and have a track record of implementing AI-driven efficiencies for your team.
- Excellent cross-functional collaborator who can translate integrated briefs into paid social strategy, advocate for what the channel needs, and work effectively alongside brand, web, and comms partners.
- You are analytical and data-driven, with a clear point of view on attribution in imperfect measurement environments and comfort communicating paid social's contribution to business outcomes.
Compensation
Our cash compensation amount for this role is $108,570/yr to $133,000/yr in Denver and $131,430/yr to $161,000/yr for San Francisco & New York. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate location, experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above.
Gusto has physical office spaces in Denver, San Francisco, and New York City. Employees who are based in those locations will be expected to work from the office on designated days approximately 2-3 days per week (or more depending on role). The same office expectations apply to all Symmetry roles, Gusto's subsidiary, whose physical office is in Scottsdale.
Note: The San Francisco office expectations encompass both the San Francisco and San Jose metro areas.
When approved to work from a location other than a Gusto office, a secure, reliable, and consistent internet connection is required. This includes non-office days for hybrid employees.
Our customers come from all walks of life and so do we. We hire great people from a wide variety of backgrounds, not just because it's the right thing to do, but because it makes our company stronger. If you share our values and our enthusiasm for small businesses, you will find a home at Gusto.
Gusto is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. We do not discriminate in hiring or any employment decision based on race, color, religion, national origin, age, sex (including pregnancy, childbirth, or related medical conditions), marital status, ancestry, physical or mental disability, genetic information, veteran status, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, or other applicable legally protected characteristic. Gusto considers qualified applicants with criminal histories, consistent with applicable federal, state and local law. Gusto is also committed to providing reasonable accommodations for qualified individuals with disabilities and disabled veterans in our job application procedures. We want to see our candidates perform to the best of their ability. If you require a medical or religious accommodation at any time throughout your candidate journey, please fill out this form and a member of our team will get in touch with you.
Gusto takes security and protection of your personal information very seriously. Please review our Fraudulent Activity Disclaimer.
Personal information collected and processed as part of your Gusto application will be subject to Gusto's Applicant Privacy Notice.

About the team
Collecting and filing sales & indirect taxes is a classic area for technology disruption. Companies selling across countries, states, and even smaller jurisdictions have to navigate through a myriad of tax rates, product-level tax exemptions, filing requirements, and registration obligations. It’s no surprise then that solving for tax compliance is a top user ask. We launched Stripe Tax as a new SaaS product in 2021 to help solve this pain point and make tax compliance as effortless as possible. The Stripe Tax Capabilities team engineers sophisticated solutions for our largest merchants, who face unique and highly complex tax requirements that differ significantly from smaller businesses, by automating their most intricate global compliance use cases.
