Product Counsel

GeminiNew York, New York; Miami, Florida; Remote (USA)
Full-timeNot specifiedJul 9, 2026

About the Company

Gemini is a global crypto and Web3 platform founded by Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss in 2014, offering a wide range of simple, reliable, and secure crypto products and services to individuals and institutions in over 70 countries. Our mission is to unlock the next era of financial, creative, and personal freedom by providing trusted access to the decentralized future. We envision a world where crypto reshapes the global financial system, internet, and money to create greater choice, independence, and opportunity for all — bridging traditional finance with the emerging cryptoeconomy in a way that is more open, fair, and secure. As a publicly traded company, Gemini is poised to accelerate this vision with greater scale, reach, and impact.

The Department: Legal

The Legal department at Gemini is making history every day, as we creatively apply the legacy of law to the future of markets and digital assets. On this team, you will tackle complex and unprecedented applications of the current legal system to the revolutionary industry of cryptocurrency and financial markets. You'll work alongside colleagues covering the digital asset exchange, credit card program, broker-dealer, predictions markets, and institutional/commercial matters - a team operating across the full spectrum of financial services regulation, not just crypto. At Gemini, Legal plays a critical role in guiding innovation and driving value for the business, while upholding our core tenets of security, compliance, and trust for our customers. Join us and help define the Legal Department of the Future.

The Role: Product Counsel

As Product Counsel at Gemini, you are the ultimate general athlete. Leveraging both breadth and depth of experience at a law firm and/or as in-house counsel, you will help Gemini tackle the complex legal challenges that confront disruptive emerging products and markets. You will support Gemini’s digital asset exchange, credit card and payments, broker-dealer, predictions markets, and institutional business lines — spanning active licensing campaigns, new product launches, and the regulatory landscape as it evolves. By navigating unprecedented legal complexities across Product, Business Development, Finance and Accounting, Technology, and Security, you’ll play a critical role in building our business at the forefront of the future of money. This isn't generalist crypto work: you'll be the point person on regulatory strategy for products spanning payments, broker-dealer operations, prediction markets, and whatever we build next.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide risk-principled legal, regulatory, and strategic advice to product, design, marketing, and technology teams during all phases of the product development lifecycle.
  • Provide holistic legal support of complex financial arrangements at the intersection of cryptocurrency and traditional financial arrangements, including crypto custody, lending, OTC trading, and other complex financial products.
  • Draft and negotiate complex agreements and establish thoughtful standards, such as SLAs, for retail and institutional customers based on regulatory requirements and market norms.
  • Manage projects effectively and collaboratively.
  • Build positive and influential relationships with Gemini leadership, cross-functional partners, and external stakeholders regarding regulatory matters that impact our products.
  • Collaborate with and support the General Counsel and the rest of the Legal team to evaluate and communicate legal risks and develop creative solutions to bridge business priorities in a changing regulatory landscape.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • JD degree.
  • Minimum 6 years of relevant legal experience at a law firm or in-house.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Member of a US state bar in good standing.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks governing lending, payments and depository account products (e.g., state money transmitter licensing, Reg Z, Reg E), and experience in handling inquiries and enforcement matters related to such products.
  • Familiarity with U.S. securities and derivatives laws, including SEC and FINRA broker-dealer rules and CFTC frameworks.
  • Experience in managing licensing applications and supervisory matters for regulated financial services businesses in the U.S. and abroad.
  • Experience drafting customer-facing disclosures and terms for a retail payments business.
  • Proven ability to proactively, efficiently, and accurately assess and mitigate legal risks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Track record of creative problem-solving, excellent written and oral communication skills, and creation of strong and trusted cross-functional relationships.
  • Strong knowledge of and interest in disruptive technology; prior experience working in fintech, digital assets or high-growth tech companies a plus.

The Platform Security team secures Gemini’s infrastructure through service hardening and by developing and supporting a suite of foundational tools. We provide secure-by-default infrastructure, consumable security services, and expert consultation to engineering teams for secure cloud and non-cloud infrastructure.

The Role: Staff Platform Security Engineer

The Platform Security team builds and delivers zero-trust foundations and paved paths so every Gemini team can ship safely on supported cloud platforms. • Experience with container security scanning, image signing, and supply chain security
  • Background in incident response for cloud and container environments
  • Experience with service mesh technologies and zero-trust networking
  • Contributions to open source security tools or cloud security communities

Senior Software Engineer, Predictions (Mobile)

The Department: Predictions

The Role: Senior Software Engineer (Mobile)

As a Senior Mobile Engineer on the Predictions team, you'll own the mobile experience for Gemini's CFTC-regulated prediction markets exchange. You'll build and ship trading interfaces for event contracts — from order entry and position management to real-time market data — within Gemini's React Native app. You'll work closely with product, design, backend, and compliance to bring new contract types (binary, range, combo) to market on mobile and drive activation and retention for a fast-growing product line.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain the Predictions mobile trading experience end-to-end: market browsing, order placement, portfolio views, and settlement flows.
  • Architect performant, real-time UI for streaming market data (orderbook, price charts, position P&L) using modern React Native patterns (TurboModules, JSI, native navigator integration).
  • Collaborate with backend engineers on gRPC and WebSocket integrations that power live trading surfaces.
  • Create reusable, well-tested UI components shared across Predictions and the broader Gemini mobile app.
  • Partner with product and design to shape mobile-specific UX for new contract categories (weather, economics, crypto, sports) and features like combo contracts and range contracts.
  • Scope and implement solutions independently, making informed architecture decisions and tradeoffs around native vs. JS boundaries.
  • Establish and improve mobile development processes — testing strategy, release quality gates, OTA vs. native release decisions.
  • Conduct thorough code reviews and mentor other engineers on React Native best practices.
  • Use analytics and experimentation data to inform product and engineering decisions around activation funnels, onboarding, and trading engagement.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of software engineering experience, including 4+ years building production mobile applications with React Native.
  • Strong proficiency in TypeScript.
  • Deep understanding of React Native internals — bridging, native modules, performance profiling, and debugging.
  • Experience building real-time, data-intensive UIs (trading, dashboards, live feeds).
  • Strong UX/UI sensibility with a track record of contributing to design and product decisions, not just implementing specs.
  • Expertise in unit and integration testing for mobile.
  • Comfort working in a regulated environment where changes require rigor and auditability.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with financial or trading applications (orderbooks, charting, position management).
  • Familiarity with Expo, EAS, and OTA update strategies.
  • Experience with native module authoring (Swift/Kotlin) or SwiftUI/Jetpack Compose embedding via Expo Modules API.
  • Exposure to gRPC, WebSockets, or similar real-time transport protocols.
  • Experience with performance analysis tooling (Flipper, React DevTools profiler, native instruments).
  • Prior work at a fintech, exchange, or other regulated product environment.

Senior Application Security Engineer

Our mission is to unlock the next era of financial, creative, and personal freedom by providing trusted access to the decentralized future. As a publicly traded company, Gemini is poised to accelerate this vision with greater scale, reach, and impact.

The Department: Application Security

Gemini operates at the intersection of financial services and emerging technology where the consequences of security failure are measured in customer trust and regulatory standing. The Application Security (AppSec) team exists to make sure security is never an afterthought. We are on a mission to secure products at the time of thought and the time of build: at the product requirements doc, the technical architectural decision, at the line of code. We believe that security input is most valuable before the work is done and after-the-fact is too late and too expensive.

The Role: Senior Application Security Engineer

As a Senior Application Security Engineer on the Application Security team, you will be a trusted partner to engineering, product, and business teams across Gemini. You will help guide teams to design and build secure products while building systems and culture that embed security judgment into every team. Gemini is AI-first and AppSec builds the tools to make this vision secure.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead secure design reviews, threat modeling, code review, and penetration testing for high-risk products such as crypto custody, trading systems, and payments
  • Build and ship code: design and build AppSec tooling including AI agents for secure design and code review, AI-enhanced SAST/DAST pipelines, and automation that eliminates repeatable security toil
  • Partner with engineering teams to remediate vulnerabilities and drive long-term improvements in secure coding practices

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in application security or similar roles
  • Ability to perform design reviews, threat modeling, secure code reviews, or penetration testing with an attacker mindset
  • Experience building or meaningfully contributing to security tooling and automation
  • Strong background in application security best practices and familiarity with common vulnerabilities (e.g. SSRF, race conditions, privilege escalations, etc.)
  • Some background in development or scripting experience (Python, Scala, C++, or JavaScript) with the ability to read and write code
  • Strong communication skills to influence without authority and the ability to collaborate on a cross-functional team with competing priorities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience building AI application security tooling using agents or skills
  • Experience with supply chain security, common frameworks (SLSA, OWASP SPVS) and other CI/CD security controls
  • Familiarity with highly regulated environments (financial services, fintech, crypto, or equivalent) and ability to understand business objectives, business context, and security risk
  • Experience with preventing application security vulnerabilities at scale through secure design patterns, automated tooling, or frameworks
  • Experience with microservice architectures and cloud-native environments

Product Management Intern (Fall 2026)

GeminiNew York, New York
Full-timeNot specifiedJul 1, 2026

The Department: Data

The Role: Product Management Intern

At Gemini, every team member is the captain of their own ship, trusted to chart new routes and move the mission forward. We're building the future of money and markets, and we're looking for a curious, data-driven Product Management Intern to join us at the intersection of product, data, and AI.

This is not a watch-from-the-sidelines internship. From your first week, you'll own a real piece of the work: real products, real users, real impact. No project is too big and no detail too small, and you'll see your work reach real customers.

This will be a 16-week fall internship program required to be in person 3 days a week at our New York City, NY office.

Responsibilities:

  • Be AI-first. Make AI a default part of how you work, using modern tools to move faster, think bigger, and raise the bar for the whole team.
  • Be data-driven in decision-making. Let evidence lead the way: running quantitative and qualitative user research, conducting competitive research and gap analysis, pulling and analyzing data from Databricks, and turning what you learn into clear, compelling recommendations that support our Engineering teams.
  • Support the full project lifecycle. Help draft product requirements documents, provide design and development support, run user acceptance testing, and contribute to release planning. For example, you might help design the requirements for Clarissa, our Secure SDLC bot: an automated change-management controls bot that runs on pull requests and their associated Linear tickets to keep compliance evidence auditable.
  • Build cross-functional alignment. Help shape product vision, write the requirements that get things built, and align engineering and back office / operations teams around a shared direction.
  • Ship things that matter. Partner with stakeholders on experiences people love and with engineers to launch features into production, then track the metrics to see what worked.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A relevant academic background. Pursuing a Bachelor's, Associate's, or Master's degree in Computer Science, Interactive Design, Business, or a related field.
  • A clear communicator and driver. Outstanding written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. You work easily across engineering, operations, data, and AI operations, and you can run a weekly project meeting with stakeholders, keep everyone aligned, and drive the group toward a shared goal without needing the title to do it.
  • A bias for moving fast. If something can be done in five minutes, you get it done right away. For larger deliverables that require focus, you leverage business instincts, hustle, and AI to deliver what would've taken weeks in a matter of days.
  • A structured problem-solver. You break big, ambiguous questions into orderly pieces, turning large projects into incremental milestones that keep teams moving and progress measurable.
  • A relentless growth mindset. As a student of the world, you can't go long without exploring something new, you actively seek out and act on feedback, and you treat every project as a chance to get sharper, comfortable being a beginner on your way to becoming an expert.
  • Agile and adaptable. You're capable of quickly picking up and supporting new concepts and ideas, and ambiguity energizes you. You'd rather propose a direction than wait for one.
  • A user-focused builder. You have real empathy for people's problems and an instinct for products that delight rather than merely function, holding a high bar for product quality and for experiences that are easy to understand and use.
  • A foundation in data. A base-level understanding of data analysis and insights that you're keen to build on.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Enough technical fluency to hold your own with strong engineers (you don't need to code daily, but you should understand technical complexity, architectural decisions, and accompanying tradeoffs).
  • Hands-on experience from a prior internship, a startup, a hackathon, a club you led, or a project where you actually built or researched something.
  • A passion for consumer-first technology.
  • Knowledge of and interest in cryptocurrencies, cryptography, and/or blockchain technology.
  • A track record of accomplishing things people said were hard.

Pay Rate: The hourly pay rate for this role is $45/hour in the State of New York, the State of California and the State of Washington. When determining a candidate’s compensation, we consider a number of factors including skillset, experience, job scope, and current market data.

In the United States, we offer a hybrid work approach at our hub offices, balancing the benefits of in-person collaboration with the flexibility of remote work. Expectations may vary by location and role, so candidates are encouraged to connect with their recruiter to learn more about the specific policy for the role. Employees who do not live near one of our hubs are part of our remote workforce.

At Gemini, we strive to build diverse teams that reflect the people we want to empower through our products, and we are committed to equal employment opportunity regardless of race, color, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, gender identity, or Veteran status. Senior Enterprise Infrastructure Engineer

GeminiTempe, Arizona
Full-timeNot specifiedJun 16, 2026

The Department: Enterprise Infrastructure

The Enterprise Infrastructure team owns the internal technology ecosystem that supports Gemini's offices and employees. The team operates as a unified engineering and service organization, combining front-line support excellence with DevOps-driven platform engineering under a single mandate.

Our enterprise technology strategy fuels business growth through an engineering-first approach by delivering a modern, secure, and scalable foundation for seamless collaboration, efficient operations, and future-ready innovation. By emphasizing operational excellence, continuous improvement of existing systems, and strategic automation – including Infrastructure as Code, GitOps workflows, and AI-augmented operations – we position IT as an engineering discipline whose impact extends across the department and the broader organization.

The Role: Senior Enterprise Infrastructure Engineer

As a Senior Enterprise Infrastructure Engineer, you will serve as a technical leader and force multiplier across the full breadth of Enterprise Infrastructure – from end-user support excellence to backend platform engineering and automation.

You will apply DevOps methodologies to drive the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of the systems that underpin Gemini's global workforce. This includes owning strategies and execution for endpoint management, user identity and access lifecycle, internal tooling, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD pipelines, and AI-augmented operational workflows. You will define and track key metrics, communicate trends and capacity insights to leadership, and make strategic decisions about tooling adoption, vendor relationships, and architectural direction with an awareness of how these decisions impact teams and stakeholders beyond Enterprise Infrastructure.

A core expectation of this role is that you approach problems with an eye toward scalability and sustainability, building systems that reduce manual toil, improve reliability, and position the team for rapid growth. You are expected to critically evaluate existing systems and processes, challenging assumptions, identifying inefficiencies, and driving improvements to legacy workflows with the same rigor applied to new builds. You will act as a mentor and escalation point for others, fostering a culture of engineering rigor within support operations and a culture of user empathy within engineering work.

The ideal candidate has deep experience across both operational support and DevOps-driven infrastructure, thrives in ambiguity, and is energized by the challenge of consolidating legacy tooling into modern, automated, GitOps-driven workflows. They bring a pragmatic approach to adopting emerging capabilities – including agentic AI – and are motivated by building solutions that scale beyond their immediate team to benefit the broader organization.

This role is required to be in person 5 days per week at our Tempe, AZ office.

Responsibilities:

  • Office & Endpoint Operations

    • Manage hardware inventory, secure storage, and physical IT infrastructure across global office locations.
    • Administer and support endpoint fleets including provisioning, patch management, and peripheral troubleshooting.
    • Support office A/V systems, network connectivity, and conference room technology.
  • Service Operations & Delivery

    • Resolve service and incident requests with quality, speed, and thorough documentation.
    • Manage user identity and access lifecycle – including SSO, SCIM, MFA, and security key administration.
    • Maintain and improve SaaS platform configurations, vendor relationships, and internal support workflows.
    • Track operational metrics, surface trends, and communicate capacity insights to leadership.
  • Platform Engineering & Automation

    • Build and maintain infrastructure using IaC, configuration management, and GitOps-driven deployment workflows.
    • Develop internal tools and integrations that automate fleet operations, user lifecycle management, and cross-service orchestrations
    • Design and operate CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure changes, tooling, and endpoint configurations.
    • Lead endpoint management platform migrations, including policy authoring, GitOps-managed profiles, and fleet-wide telemetry.
    • Design and implement agentic AI workflows to augment IT operations, applying context engineering principles to enable reliable, bounded automation and validations.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in enterprise IT, infrastructure engineering, or a DevOps-focused support capacity.
  • Strong proficiency with macOS fleet management at scale using MDM platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code and configuration management tooling.
  • Proficiency in at least two of the following languages: Go, Python, Swift – with demonstrated ability to build production-grade internal tooling and API integrations.
  • Deep experience with identity and access management platforms (Okta, Google Workspace, Active Directory), including SSO, SCIM, Device Assurance Policies, MFA, and user lifecycle automation.
  • Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or equivalent) and Git-based development workflows.
  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals.
  • Experience with AWS cloud services in a production or internal-tooling context.
  • Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences, including leadership.
  • Experience mentoring junior engineers and contributing to team culture, hiring, and process improvement.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in fintech, crypto, or regulated financial services environments.
  • Experience with FleetDM and osquery for endpoint telemetry, compliance, and GitOps-managed device configuration.
  • Experience designing agentic AI harnesses and workflows or applying context engineering techniques to augment operational processes (e.g., Claude Code, OpenCode, LLM-driven automation).
  • Proficiency in Go, Python, and/or Swift for internal tooling development.
  • Hands-on experience deploying reliable tools via Containerization and Orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes/EKS).
  • Experience managing 1,000+ user accounts across a globally distributed workforce.
  • Working knowledge of the Apple MDM protocol and open-source macOS tooling (Munki, AutoPkg, SaltStack, etc.).
  • Experience with A/V systems administration (Crestron, Logitech, Chromebox for Meetings).
  • SaaS Administration experience (Anthropic, Atlassian, Google Workspace, Linear, Okta, & more), service management workflows, and SLA reporting.

Manager, Brand Design Engineering

GeminiNew York, New York
Full-timeNot specifiedJun 15, 2026

About the Company

Gemini is a global crypto and Web3 platform founded by Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss in 2014, offering a wide range of simple, reliable, and secure crypto products and services to individuals and institutions in over 70 countries. Our mission is to unlock the next era of financial, creative, and personal freedom by providing trusted access to the decentralized future. As a publicly traded company, Gemini is poised to accelerate this vision with greater scale, reach, and impact.

The Department: Marketing

The Role: Manager, Brand Design Engineering

Marketing at Gemini shouldn't feel like an afterthought — it should feel like a natural extension of the product. As our Design Manager and Engineer, you'll own the pre-login experience: every surface an audience touches before they're inside the product. You'll work closely with the brand and product design to make sure that experience is cohesive, polished, and true to who we are.

You'll collaborate with brand on product storytelling, with product to understand design decisions being made under the hood, and with engineering to take designs into production yourself. This is not a handoff role. This is a builder role.

This role is required to be in person twice a week at our New York City, NY office.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and build the pre-login experience — websites, landing pages, and marketing surfaces — for Gemini's GTM launch initiatives, partnering directly with design and engineering
  • Set a high visual bar for across all external surfaces
  • Design, build, and maintain design systems for web and mobile alongside the product and design team
  • Prototype in code using AI-assisted design tools; push high-fidelity work directly to production
  • Accelerate the design-to-engineering-to-deploy workflow — reduce handoff friction and increase ship velocity
  • Manage a small team of brand designers

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years in-house or at an agency as a designer, frontend engineer, or UI/UX engineer with clear ownership of shipped work
  • A high bar for craft: typography, spacing, layout, grid, and visual hierarchy - details that most people miss
  • Design tool proficiency: Figma, Webflow, Builder.io (or equivalent)
  • Frontend fluency: React, Next.js, TypeScript, CSS, JavaScript, HTML
  • Experience building high-fidelity prototypes, component libraries, and design system infrastructure
  • A portfolio that demonstrates both design sensibility and production-ready engineering
  • Comfort with ambiguity; ability to move fast without abandoning craft
  • Management experience a plus
  • Located in NYC

  • A discretionary annual bonus
  • Long-term incentive in the form of a new hire equity grant

Salary Range: The base salary range for this role is between $150,500 - $279,500 in the State of New York, the State of California and the State of Washington. This range is not inclusive of our discretionary bonus or equity package. When determining a candidate’s compensation, we consider a number of factors including skillset, experience, job scope, and current market data.
