Building the Future of Open Finance Payward - the parent company behind Kraken, NinjaTrader, Breakout, xStocks, Payward Services and CF Benchmarks - has spent the last 15 years building one of the most modern and globally accessible financial infrastructure platforms in the industry, built to advance an open, global financial system. Before you apply, we encourage you to explore our culture page to understand what drives us and how we work. The team Payward, the parent company behind Kraken, NinjaTrader, xStocks, Breakout, and a growing portfolio of businesses, is scaling fast through active M&A. Every acquisition brings its own collaboration stack, its own Google Workspace tenant or Slack instance, its own domains, its own archiving obligations. Someone has to bring all of that into one secure, compliant, well-run environment. That someone is you. This role owns the productivity and collaboration platforms, Google Workspace, Slack, and Zoom, across the Payward family of brands, with a focus on M&A integration. When we buy a company, you're the person who scopes the migration, moves the users, channels, files, and configurations, untangles the acquired environment, and lands it cleanly inside Payward's security and identity stack. You'll work across Legal, Compliance, IT, Security, Corporate Development, and the acquired companies themselves, often as the most knowledgeable person in the room on how these platforms actually connect. This is a build-and-own role, not a keep-the-lights-on role. The opportunity M&A Integration (Core Focus) - Drive collaboration-platform integration end-to-end for each acquisition, scoping, planning, executing, and closing out migrations of users, Slack channels, Google Workspace Drive, mailboxes, and configurations from acquired companies into the Payward environment - Assess acquired-company collaboration stacks during and after diligence: what they run, how it's configured, what the security and compliance gaps are, and what it takes to consolidate - Rationalize overlapping tools across brands, decide what migrates, what sunsets, and what stays, and see those calls through - Build repeatable playbooks, tooling, and automation so each successive integration is faster and cleaner than the last - Coordinate cutover timelines and TSA-driven dependencies with Corporate Development, Legal, and the acquired teams Collaboration Platforms - Own Google Workspace, Slack, and Zoom at multi-entity enterprise scale, architecture, governance, licensing, configuration, and day-to-day operations across the brand portfolio - Build and maintain integrations between collaboration tools and the broader identity and security stack (Okta, Global Relay, eDiscovery tooling, archiving platforms) - Define and enforce cross-brand platform governance standards; build automation that makes the secure path the easy path - Collaborate with HRIS and IAM teams to manage clean onboarding and offboarding across platforms and entities Email & Domain Security - Own email security infrastructure across brands, filtering, quarantine, impersonation defenses, and DMARC/SPF/DKIM hygiene, and raise the bar as new entities and threats arrive - Manage a large, multi-registrar, multi-brand domain portfolio (Cloudflare, MarkMonitor, and others); lead DNS migrations, audits, and consolidation as brands come in - Respond to phishing campaigns, insider threat signals, and anomalous domain activity with speed and precision Compliance & Legal Support - Lead legal hold management, eDiscovery queries, and data productions across email, Slack, and Google Drive, across multiple entities - Architect and maintain compliant archiving infrastructure (Global Relay, Smarsh, Virtru) as new businesses are onboarded and legacy ones sunset - Produce and defend evidence for regulatory and audit obligations (17a-4, ISO, external auditors), working directly with Legal and Compliance Security & Access Control - Design and maintain DLP rules, group access controls, and data access policies across collaboration platforms and entities - Lead insider threat reduction initiatives, access revocation, high-risk extension management, public channel governance, during and after integrations, when risk is highest - Own platform-level incident response: investigation, containment, and post-incident improvement Tooling & Vendor Management - Evaluate, onboard, consolidate, and sunset SaaS tools across the collaboration and security stack as the portfolio grows - Lead vendor relationships, procurement, and renewals; make build-vs-buy-vs-sunset calls and see them through - Build automation that reduces manual toil and improves governance at scale What you bring Experience - 4–6 years of hands-on experience administering Google Workspace and Slack at companies with 1,000+ users, including complex migrations and governance work - Demonstrated experience owning or leading a technology migration in an M&A or systems-consolidation context, ideally more than one. This is the heart of the role - Solid email security experience: filtering, quarantine, DMARC/SPF/DKIM, impersonation defense, threat response - DNS administration and domain portfolio management at meaningful scale - Direct experience with compliance and legal workflows, legal holds, eDiscovery, regulatory data productions, and compliant archiving platforms Skills & Mindset - You operate end-to-end: scope the problem, design the solution, execute it, and close it out cleanly, especially under the time pressure of a deal - You're comfortable making decisions under ambiguity, acquired environments are always messy, and defending them with clear reasoning - You understand that clean infrastructure is a security control, not an operational nicety - You work well across functions: Legal, Compliance, IT, Security, Corporate Development, and the acquired teams you're integrating - You communicate proactively, no backchannels, no surprises; stakeholders know where things stand - You manage multiple concurrent integrations without losing threads - You automate and systematize recurring work; you build things that outlast you, documentation, tooling, governance frameworks others can operate - You take ownership: if something's broken, you fix it Nice to haves - Experience integrating multiple acquired companies' collaboration stacks into a single parent environment - Experience with Global Relay, Smarsh, Virtru, or comparable archiving platforms, including onboarding and architecture decisions - Familiarity with Okta and its integration patterns with Google Workspace and Slack - Experience managing a large domain portfolio across multiple registrars and DNS providers - Exposure to eDiscovery and legal hold tooling - Comfort in a regulated industry, financial services, crypto, fintech, where compliance isn't optional Unless a specific application deadline is stated in the job posting, applications are accepted on an ongoing basis. Please note, applicants are permitted to redact or remove information on their resume that identifies age, date of birth, or dates of attendance at or graduation from an educational institution. We work across web and mobile surfaces, partner closely with Product, Design, Data, and Platform teams, and use experimentation, observability, and user behaviour to guide what we build next. The opportunity - Design, develop, and maintain high-quality consumer-facing features across web (React) and mobile (React Native), owning the full experience from concept to production monitoring. - Own the full lifecycle of product work, from discovery and technical design through release, monitoring, experimentation, and iteration. - Drive A/B testing and experimentation strategies forming hypotheses, designing experiments, analysing results, and iterating based on data. - Partner with Product, Design, Data, and Mobile engineers to create coherent experiences across Kraken’s consumer surfaces. - Make opinionated technical decisions on framework and architecture choices (we want engineers who have strong views on things like TanStack Router vs Next.js App Router and can back them up with real experience). - Set the standard for high-quality code — functional correctness, accessibility, performance, and testability are non-negotiables. - Mentor engineers across seniority levels and contribute to a culture of craft and continuous improvement. - Lead and collaborate on complex cross-platform initiatives, driving alignment across web and mobile surfaces. - Stay ahead of the curve on React ecosystem tooling, React Server Components, concurrent features, streaming, and bring those insights back to the team. - Work AI-natively, we use AI tools across the full SDLC and expect engineers to have a structured, opinionated workflow, not just autocomplete. What you bring - 6+ years of professional software development experience with a strong focus on consumer-facing web and/or mobile products. - Deep expertise in TypeScript and the React ecosystem, you have opinions about state management, data fetching patterns, and component architecture, and you can articulate the trade-offs. - Production experience with React Native and cross-platform mobile development, including App Store and Google Play release pipelines. - Experience with Next.js — specifically familiarity with App Router, React Server Components, and the client/server boundary decisions that come with them. - Hands-on experience with A/B testing, feature flags, and experimentation frameworks (LaunchDarkly, Optimizely, or similar). - Experience with WebSockets or Server-Sent Events for real-time UI updates. - Strong testing culture Jest, React Testing Library, Playwright or Cypress, and the judgement to know when to use each. - Familiarity with modern build tooling (Vite, Webpack, CI/CD pipelines) and performance profiling. - Experience in fintech, crypto, payments, or other high-trust consumer products where correctness and user confidence matter. - Strong written and verbal English, you can write a clear RFC, give direct feedback in a PR review, and explain a technical trade-off to a non-technical stakeholder. - An active AI-assisted development workflow, Cursor, Claude Code, Copilot, or equivalent with the engineering rigour to review and own what gets produced. Unless a specific application deadline is stated in the job posting, applications are accepted on an ongoing basis. Please note, applicants are permitted to redact or remove information on their resume that identifies age, date of birth, or dates of attendance at or graduation from an educational institution. We consider qualified applicants with criminal histories for employment on our team, assessing candidates in a manner consistent with the requirements of the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance. Our commitment Payward is powered by people from around the world and we celebrate the diverse talents, backgrounds, contributions, and unique perspectives that everyone brings to the table. We hire based on merit, seeking out people with the right abilities, knowledge, and skills for the job. We encourage you to apply for roles where you don't fully meet the listed requirements, especially if you're passionate or knowledgeable about crypto. We may ask candidates to complete job-related skills or work-style assessments as part of our hiring process. These assessments evaluate competencies relevant to the role and are applied consistently across candidates for similar positions. Results are considered alongside experience and interviews, and are not the sole basis for any employment decision. Senior Product Manager - Trading-as-a-service

The team Payward Services is an enterprise infrastructure platform that enables companies to seamlessly integrate trading, payments, funding, and digital asset services through a single unified system. It provides coordinated liquidity, custody, compliance, risk management, and settlement capabilities, reducing operational complexity for fintechs, banks, brokerages, and payment providers. Within Payward Services, Trading-as-a-Service is the product line that powers trading inside partner apps. We help fintechs, banks, brokerages, and platforms offer their users digital asset trading — spot, derivatives, tokenized equities, recurring buys, limit orders — without building exchange infrastructure from scratch. The partner owns the front end and the brand; we run execution, liquidity, and market connectivity underneath, exposed through modular APIs that go live in weeks, not quarters. We're hiring a Senior PM to drive Trading-as-a-Service. Reporting to the Trading GM, this is a hands-on, builder-first, API-first role. You'll shape what we build, define how partners integrate it, and work directly with clients to make sure the product holds up in real-world deployments. You won't carry a sales quota — but the products you ship directly drive Payward Services revenue. The opportunity - Own the roadmap and execution across the Trade surfaces — Convert & Trade, PTL-as-a-Service (custodial and non-custodial), Orderbook/CLOB API, Recurring Buys, Limit Orders, and PTL + xStocks (tokenized equities) — and lead the full lifecycle from discovery through build, launch, and iteration - Work directly with partners (fintechs, banks, brokerages, platforms) to understand integration requirements, unblock deployments, and ensure product-market fit - Drive product decisions on trading UX patterns, API design, custody models, and compliance workflows for B2B2C use cases - Treat the API as the product: design the REST/WebSocket surfaces, auth, webhooks, SDKs, and docs that determine whether a partner integrates in weeks or stalls - Make the hard product calls on execution models (RFQ/internalized-spread vs. CLOB maker-taker), custody models (custodial vs. non-custodial), account structures (omnibus vs. fully-disclosed, master/sub-account settlement), and the compliance workflows around them - Own the metrics that matter: partner integration velocity, trading volume, assets on platform (AOP), end-user activation, and revenue impact - Collaborate with the Derivatives team on jointly-owned crypto derivatives capabilities - Partner with Sales and BD on strategic deals — demos, technical scoping, custom integration planning What you bring - 6+ years of product management experience, with meaningful time building B2B2C infrastructure — ideally platforms that help companies add trading, brokerage, or financial services to their own apps - B2B / developer-facing API product experience - You've owned API products that external partners build against, and you understand what makes integration fast or painful: API design, auth, webhooks, sandbox environments, SDKs, multi-tenant architecture, onboarding friction. Alternatively: deep trading/exchange product experience and the appetite to grind into the B2B API problem - Hands-on experience with trading platforms or exchange infrastructure — order types, execution models, custody, settlement — and what it takes to ship trading products at scale (exchange, brokerage, or trading-infra background strongly preferred) - Technical fluency: you hold your own in architecture discussions, make informed build/buy tradeoffs, and challenge engineering when needed - Experience in regulated financial services, operating within compliance and licensing constraints across multiple jurisdictions - Strong product sense with commercial awareness — you lead with product but understand how roadmap choices drive revenue, without needing a quota to motivate you - Comfort in ambiguity: you move fast, decide with imperfect information, and adapt as the business scales Unless a specific application deadline is stated in the job posting, applications are accepted on an ongoing basis. Please note, applicants are permitted to redact or remove information on their resume that identifies age, date of birth, or dates of attendance at or graduation from an educational institution. Web and Brand Designer - Breakout Prop

KrakenUnited Kingdom
Full-timeNot specifiedJun 29, 2026
Building the Future of Open Finance Payward - the parent company behind Kraken, NinjaTrader, Breakout, xStocks, Payward Services and CF Benchmarks - has spent the last 15 years building one of the most modern and globally accessible financial infrastructure platforms in the industry, built to advance an open, global financial system. Before you apply, we encourage you to explore our culture page to understand what drives us and how we work. The team Breakout is a crypto prop trading program that gives skilled traders access to capital, with up to 90% of profits going to the trader. Traders pass a one-step evaluation, then trade funded accounts up to $200K with on-demand profit withdrawals, 24/7. You will own design for Breakout across web, lifecycle, and brand, with web as the clear priority. This is a hands-on, in-the-trenches role, not a manager role. You are not here to manage designers. You are here to design the web pages and marketing assets that bring new traders to Breakout, and to build the systems that let the rest of the team design without you. Reporting directly to the VP of Growth, you will own the design of our website and core conversion flows, then carry that craft into the wider marketing surface: lifecycle email, organic social, and the brand system that holds it all together. Web is the priority, and because you own the website end-to-end, strong UX and conversion instincts are essential — how pages are structured, how visitors move through them, and how that turns into signups. Everything else compounds off the same foundation. The part that makes this role different is AI. We want someone who builds scalable design systems with AI so the wider team can self-serve. Instead of being the bottleneck for every page, slide, banner, and email, you will design the components, templates, prompts, and guardrails that let Conversion, Social, Lifecycle, and Marketing Operations produce on-brand work on their own — and you will keep raising the ceiling on what those systems can do. You will work side-by-side with our Conversion, Content, Social, Lifecycle, and Marketing Operations teammates, and with Payward's (Kraken's) design and brand teams where their scale helps. You will turn copy into pages, ideas into prototypes, and one-off requests into reusable systems. We are looking for a designer who is fluent in AI tooling and energised by it, not threatened by it. Someone who treats Claude Design, Figma, and the current generation of AI design tools as force multipliers, and who would rather build the machine that makes a hundred assets than hand-make all hundred. The opportunity - Own web design and UX end-to-end. Design the Breakout website, landing pages, and conversion flows, owning the UX and information architecture from first wireframe to dev-ready handoff. This is where most of your time goes. - Build the AI design system that lets the team self-serve. Turn our highest-friction, highest-volume design requests into components, templates, prompts, and automations the wider team can run without you. The goal is simple: stop being the bottleneck. - Extend design across the marketing surface. Take the same system into lifecycle email, organic social, and campaign visuals so everything reads as one brand, no matter who shipped it. - Own and evolve the brand system. Maintain and govern Breakout's brand guidelines, component library, and asset toolkit so the brand stays consistent as output scales across the team. - Use AI as your primary production engine. Claude Design, Figma (including Figma Make), and Nano Banana Pro are examples of what we use today — we want you to come in, recommend the right stack, and use it to take us from idea to high-fidelity output in hours, not weeks. - Prototype fast. Turn copy and concepts into clickable, code-backed prototypes the team can react to and test, rather than static mockups that stall in review. - Partner with engineering on a clean handoff. Work closely with our developers on the website build and component implementation so what you design is what ships. - Set the design quality bar. Define what good looks like for Breakout across web, email, and social, and keep raising it as AI tooling improves. - Partner with Payward's (Kraken's) design and brand teams where their scale and systems accelerate what you are doing at Breakout, and share back what you build. - Document your systems for the whole org. Turn what you build into guidelines, prompt libraries, and how-tos that make self-serve design actually stick. What you bring - 5+ years of hands-on web and digital design experience, with a strong portfolio of shipped web and marketing design work in a fast-moving environment. - Web UX and conversion first. Deep command of website UX: information architecture, responsive layout, design systems, interaction and conversion design, and dev-ready handoff in Figma. You understand how design choices move conversion. - Strong, demonstrable AI design skills. You already design with AI day to day. Experience with Claude Design and other AI visual design tools is essential — for example Figma Make / Figma AI and Nano Banana Pro. - A systems builder, not a one-off maker. You think in components, templates, and reusable patterns. You have built design systems or tooling that let other people produce on-brand work without you. - Range across the marketing surface. Comfortable designing not just web, but lifecycle email, organic social, and brand assets, and making them feel like one system. - Brand sensibility without preciousness. You can hold and evolve a brand while the team ships fast, keeping things consistent without slowing them down. - Prototyping chops. You can produce clickable, code-backed prototypes (HTML/CSS comfort or AI-assisted code is a plus) so ideas can be tested, not just imagined. - Strong collaborator and communicator. Clean handoffs to engineering, fast in Slack threads, and able to brief and enable non-designers to use the systems you build. - Bias to ship. You do not wait for permission to prototype. You propose, build, and iterate. - Crypto-native or genuinely curious about crypto, trading, and prop, with a drive to help us define the category. Nice to have - Performance creative design — experience designing and iterating paid ad creative (static, motion, and video) at volume. - Motion and video skills (After Effects, Rive, or AI motion tools). - Front-end coding ability (HTML/CSS/React, or comfort shipping via AI code tools like v0 or Lovable). - Experience in crypto, fintech, trading, or another regulated, high-intent category. - Experience building or running a design system used by a cross-functional team at scale. Unless a specific application deadline is stated in the job posting, applications are accepted on an ongoing basis. Please note, applicants are permitted to redact or remove information on their resume that identifies age, date of birth, or dates of attendance at or graduation from an educational institution.
