What you’ll do:

  • Facilitate annual, quarterly, and intra-quarter financial forecasting for SoFi’s Operations Function

  • Support the monthly close and budget vs. actuals analysis in partnership with accounting and strategic finance partners to drive clarity and accountability on expense trends for Operations and Business leadership

  • Make decisions on whether the firm should deviate from the forecasted quarterly plan by weighing financial and strategic trade-offs

  • Work with key stakeholders within Operations and the FP&A team to create and communicate regular guidance on forward-looking financial performance

  • Enable the Operations teams to prioritize initiatives and make real-time decisions by evaluating and sizing impacts on volumes, revenues, and variable profit

  • In partnership with the Data team, identify and monitor key performance metrics and develop actionable insights

  • Prepare internal and external materials to facilitate management discussion and analysis of key financial and business performance indicators (e.g. demand planning, budget vs actuals, operational-specific KPIs)

What you’ll need:

  • 6+ years of experience, ideally in financial services, operations, private equity, FP&A, consulting or corporate finance

  • Experience preparing and presenting information to key decision-makers

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Advanced technical proficiency with the capacity to leverage tools like Excel, Workday, Google Suite, SQL, and emerging AI technologies to solve complex problems.

  • Collaborative working style and demonstrated ability to build strong cross-functional relationships

  • Inquisitive nature, attention to detail, diligence, and a flexible attitude

  • Willingness to embrace unstructured environments and problems
