What you'll own

Own the end‑to‑end relationship and revenue growth with a limited set of large, complex platform accounts, driving strategy, multi‑level executive engagement, and the full sales cycle from lead to close and activation.

What they're looking for

10+ years of sales experience managing large, technical accounts (or equivalent complex project/consulting background), strong C‑level relationship skills, deep technical and business acumen, and proven ability to lead multi‑party, consultative deals.

Why this role matters

The role expands Stripe’s platform ecosystem—key to the company’s mission of increasing internet GDP—by aligning top platforms’ strategies with Stripe’s payments infrastructure and shaping repeatable partnership models.

Best suited to

Seasoned, analytical sales leaders who thrive on complex, high‑stakes negotiations, enjoy building executive relationships, and are comfortable shaping processes in a fast‑paced, ambiguous fintech environment.

About this role

Who we are

About Stripe

Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies—from the world’s largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups—use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone’s reach while doing the most important work of your career.

About the team

The Platform Sales team partners with Software Platforms to help them expand their value proposition towards payments and financial services by leveraging Stripe Connect. Platforms already using Stripe include Shopify, Treatwell, Sage & Wix.

As a member of the Strategic Account Platforms team, you will manage and elevate our relationships with a limited number of our largest and most complex accounts. Your role is to identify and implement new growth opportunities and ways Stripe can exceed expectations.

What you’ll do

As a Strategic Account Executive, you will develop our partnerships with our largest and most complex Platforms by creating long term alignment between Stripe and your Platforms’ business strategy, technological roadmap and user experience.

Responsibilities

  • Be accountable for the relationship and business developed between Stripe and a limited number of Strategic Accounts
  • Build, document and implement strategies that are mutually beneficial to the Platforms you manage and Stripe
  • Build, develop and orchestrate multi-level executives relationships
  • Influence and align multiple company leaders internally and externally, from engineering to marketing, from finance to compliance
  • Own the full sales cycle from lead to close to activate for large enterprise-size deals
  • Contribute to shaping our platform partnership strategy and building repeatable processes and scaled engagement models

Who you are

You are an adept salesperson and relationship manager capable of engaging in deep business-level and technical conversations at multiple levels of the organization, including the CTO, COO, CFO and CEO. You have experience working with large and complex accounts. You can lead complex, multi-party sales in a highly consultative manner. You are used to building value in competitive situations and enjoy working on products that require deep product understanding, combined with technical knowledge. You are naturally analytical and enjoy digging into business models and helping customers quantify their investment decisions. Finally, you enjoy building – you like to actively participate in the development of our sales process, the articulation of our value proposition, and the creation of key tools and assets.

Minimum requirements

  • 10+ years of sales experience, managing large accounts and selling complex technical solutions and closing large deals with a track record of top performance (if you do not have a sales background but have the grit and an experience of managing complex projects or consulting engagement, we are keen to hear from you)
  • A proven track record of moving sales processes forward from inception to close by leading complex, multi-party sales in a highly consultative manner, understanding strategies and leading with value
  • Great listening skills and ability to quickly become a trusted resource for C-levels decision-makers across technology and finance orgs within software companies
  • An ability to understand complex technical and business problems and understand how Stripe’s solutions can address them
  • A positive attitude and tireless work ethic when encountering blockers to success, whether external or internal
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Proven ability to lead complex negotiations involving bespoke commercial agreements
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to operate in a highly ambiguous and fast-paced environment
  • Strong interest in technology and a deep understanding of the space
  • Experience in or excitement in learning about financial technology infrastructure
  • Fastidious approach to CRM hygiene and experience utilizing thorough sales forecasting metrics on a weekly/quarterly basis and communicating them in a succinct manner
