Our team is passionate about our mission, to empower people to build wealth with confidence and ease.  We’re headquartered in NYC and offer hybrid NY-based positions (four days/ week in-office, with no required office days during the summer and winter holidays).

About the role

The Senior Manager, Channel Partnerships role will be vital in executing our partnerships go-to-market motion focused on co-selling and referral partners for our Betterment at Work business line. This role will own a partnership’s channel and be responsible for acquisition, contracting, onboarding, and enablement. The role will collaborate deeply with sales leadership, marketing, RevOps, legal and finance.

This role is based in NYC. Below, we've reflected the base salary range we would offer for this position. Actual salaries may vary depending on factors including but not limited to experience and performance. The range listed is just one component of Betterment’s total compensation package for employees.

  • New York City: $135,000 - $160,000

This job may also be eligible for variable compensation in the form of commission and an incentive bonus.

A day in the life

  • Source, negotiate, and sign new channel partners in priority verticals for Betterment at Work.
  • Build joint go-to-market plans with each partner, team mapping, referral paths, rep incentives, and success metrics.
  • Lead partner activation after signature by coordinating onboarding, training, launch materials, and internal handoffs.
  • Work directly with partner leaders and frontline reps to drive introductions, co-selling activity, and qualified pipeline.
  • Manage partner pipeline, forecasts, and activity in Salesforce, and report progress, risks, and results to leadership.
  • Support strategic deals by aligning pricing, approvals, and cross-functional execution with Sales, Marketing, RevOps, Legal, Finance, Product, and Compliance.
  • Identify what is and is not working across the channel, and adjust messaging, enablement, and partner focus accordingly.
  • Bring voice-of-partner and market feedback into the business to inform roadmap, positioning, and channel strategy.

What we’re looking for

  • 3–7+ years of experience in partnerships, channel sales, business development, or strategic alliances, ideally in B2B SaaS, fintech, retirement, payroll/HCM, benefits, or adjacent financial services.
  • Proven success building referral and co-selling partnerships that generate qualified pipeline and closed revenue.
  • Strong commercial operator who can own the partnership lifecycle end to end, from prospecting and contracting through onboarding, enablement, and growth.
  • Confident relationship builder with executive presence and the ability to work effectively across partner organizations and internal cross-functional teams.
  • Data-driven and organized, with strong judgment, prioritization skills, and fluency in pipeline management, forecasting, and Salesforce discipline.
