You’ll own the design, implementation, and operation of scalable backend microservices and both internal and customer‑facing APIs for the CDP Foundations platform, driving features from code to production and handling on‑call duties.
2+ years of production backend experience in microservices, proven API design skills, familiarity with observability/monitoring tools, clear technical communication, and responsible use of generative AI tools.

As a Software Engineer on the CDP Foundations team within the Developer group, you'll build the core platform capabilities that enable businesses to launch and scale crypto products. The CDP Foundations team's three pods, Portal and Platform Services, Custodial Foundations, and Fully Disclosed Onboarding and Eligibility, own the foundational experiences and primitives spanning the developer portal, shared customer services, custodial accounts and taxes, and KYC/KYB onboarding and eligibility APIs. You'll design and ship the backend services and APIs that make it easier for partners and their customers to securely access Coinbase's crypto infrastructure.
