About this role

At Affirm, we exist for the moments that matter—giving people a clear, predictable way to pay over time, with no hidden fees, no surprises, and no tradeoffs on what matters most.

About the Product team

The Product team listens to our customers’ needs and translates those insights into a clear product vision. The team works closely with design, engineering, and analytics to build scalable financial products that empower people to manage their money with confidence. We rely on empathy, curiosity, and business sense to prioritize features and improve experiences. Our role is to lead with clarity, support cross-functional execution, and champion the user in every decision.

About the role

We’re looking for an outstanding product manager who is not bound by the existing paradigms of traditional banks. This role is part of the Credit & Pricing Product team, responsible for consumer credit, underwriting, merchant pricing, and loan economics across the entire portfolio of merchants and channel partnerships. In joining this team, you will be at the center of Affirm’s credit & pricing strategy to expand our footprint into new verticals and product offerings. The team drives innovative solutions that fuel all end user experiences in the US and globally while partnering with a wide variety of teams including but not limited to product, engineering, analytics, design, marketing, legal, capital, commercial and more.

What you’ll do

  • Define and drive product strategy in collaboration with your peers in Credit & Pricing engineering, analytics, and go-to-market teams.

  • Define new products and features with specs and prototypes that enable merchants to offer consumers attractive financing terms.

  • Analyze the impact of product features and define metrics for success.

  • Establish yourself as a trusted partner of our Credit, Pricing, Commercial, Design, and Engineering teams to successfully launch and scale products.

  • Collaborate across product teams to support initiatives that interface with Affirm’s Credit & Pricing capabilities (e.g., international expansion, large merchant integrations, new product verticals, cost optimizations).

What we look for

  • Motivation: You have a passion and drive to change consumer finance for the better.

  • Analytical skills: You have a data-driven learning style and use quantitative information to make product decisions.

  • Experimental mindset: You like to test and learn in a way that incorporates both customer needs and data. You must be comfortable operating autonomously and unafraid to learn/fail fast.

  • Results: Experience shipping simple, elegant user-facing products with measurable impact to the bottom line.

  • Product experience: Minimum 4+ years of prior product or relevant experience in consumer finance, payments, underwriting, and machine learning models.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, or other related fields; or equivalent practical experience.
