About this role

About the opportunity

You will work in the Grow & Engage domain. This is the heart of the customer experience ranging from the acquisition and signup to our premium membership tiers and the daily engagement of our users. You will work in teams delivering the newest and most innovative features serving our customers in the best way possible.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Analytics Manager to lead the analytics strategy for our Grow & Engage domain, specially focusing on Engagement, Primary Banking, and Subscriptions. You will lead a team of data analysts (up to 7) while personally driving the domain’s most complex strategic and technical areas to solve.

This role is hybrid from Berlin or Barcelona.

Role Breakdown

  • 40% Team Leadership & Management: Scale, mentor, and manage the team and develop frontline management talent.
  • 40% Strategic IC & Complex Analytics: Personally lead high-stakes analyses on user retention, primary account conversion, and subscription economics.
  • 20% Domain Strategy & Data Foundations: Set domain KPIs with senior leadership and scale LLM-driven self-serve analytics foundations.

In this role, you will:

Team Leadership

  • Manage & Scale: Lead the team across Engagement, Primary Banking, and Subscriptions, overseeing hiring, performance, and career growth.
  • Maintain Rigor: Set high standards for analytical quality, code hygiene, and test design across the domain.

Business & Strategic Impact

  • Define Domain Strategy: Partner with Directors/VPs of Product, Marketing, and Growth to align OKRs and shape together the retention and monetization roadmap.
  • Primary Banking Loops: Build frameworks that identify key behavioral triggers driving users to adopt us as their primary bank (e.g., direct deposits, recurring payments).
  • Subscription Economics: Oversee tier upgrade funnels, LTV modeling, churn prevention, and pricing elasticity for premium memberships.
  • Causal Inference: Architect advanced measurement frameworks (uplift modeling, synthetic controls, quasi-experiments).
  • Experimentation: Set the right experimentation framework for the whole domain: holdouts, A/B testing, etc.

Data Ecosystem & Community

  • Self-Serve & LLM Analytics: Partner with Data Engineering to build scalable data assets and leverage LLM conversational interfaces for self-serve discovery.
  • Data Literacy: Run training and workshops to raise data fluency across product and business squads.
  • Data Chapter Leader: Contribute to company-wide analytics standards, tooling, and best practices.

What you need to be successful:

Background

  • 3+ years of direct people management experience, leading mid-size teams of ICs and/or mentoring frontline managers/leads.
  • 7+ years as an individual contributor in analytics/data science within tech or FinTech environments.
  • Proven track record of driving revenue, retention, and executive-level product strategy through data.

Skills

  • Causal Inference & Experimentation: Expertise in uplift modeling, counterfactuals, synthetic controls, and scaling A/B/n test design.
  • Analytics Stack: High proficiency in SQL and Python/R for modeling and statistical analysis.
  • Data Storytelling: Modern BI tooling (Looker, Tableau, Metabase, Superset) for executive reporting.
  • LLM & Self-Serve: Experience leveraging LLMs to scale self-serve data access.
  • Strategic Influence: Confident communicator capable of challenging assumptions and aligning cross-functional leadership.

Nice to Have

  • FinTech, neobanking, or subscription product experience.
  • Experience scaling analytics teams during high-growth phases.
