  • Structural & Analytical Thinking: You possess a "compliance-by-design" mindset—able to look at a creative or technical process and immediately identify potential risks, missing steps, or efficiency gains.
  • Stakeholder Orchestration: You are a collaborative communicator who can navigate technical, legal, and creative conversations, building consensus across teams with different priorities.
  • Commitment to Results: You are a proactive operator who takes full ownership of the compliance roadmap, ensuring that audit remediations are successfully completed and seamlessly integrated into our daily workflows.

Head of Product, Core Banking Systems

N26Berlin
Full-timeNot specifiedAug 10, 2026

About the opportunity

N26 is looking for a Head of Product - Core Banking Systems to partner with our Engineering, Treasury, Risk, and Banking Operations teams. In this role, you will own the Core Banking Systems product roadmap and lead a team of product & business managers delivering foundational capabilities that power N26 — from rapid product configuration to balance sheet infrastructure and regulatory reporting.

You will work at the intersection of Core Banking architecture, financial data integrity, and compliance on one side, and real-world banking and product challenges on the other. Your mission is to transform Core Banking Systems from a cost center into a composable platform that enables product managers to configure and launch products in days, embeds compliance by design, and lays the foundation for growth beyond N26. You will be the connective tissue between technical platform excellence and business outcomes, ensuring that our core engine powers flawless banking across N26 and eventually external financial institutions.

In this role, you will:

  • Own and drive the Core Systems product roadmap across Product Enablement (lending, deposits, payments gateway) and Balance Sheet Infrastructure (financial data products, treasury, books & accounting), balancing near-term execution with long-term strategic horizons.

  • Partner closely with N26 Product Segments and functional stakeholders across Treasury, Credit Risk, Risk Controlling, Accounting, and Regulatory Reporting on priorities, planning cycles, and shared OKRs.

  • Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle for Core Banking initiatives — from self-service product enablement and third-party vendor in-housing through migration, platform scalability, and iteration.

  • Define and roll out core platform best practices across the organization — including product configuration standards (Product Factory), ledger data integrity, evaluation frameworks, and progressive rollout guardrails.

  • Contribute to N26's company-wide strategy to establish single sources of truth for financial data, eliminate core vendor dependencies, and reduce risk concentration across endpoints.

  • Support domain optimization by transitioning stable, non-core services to appropriate segment owners while maintaining operational excellence and zero material audit findings.

  • Manage and develop a team of Core Systems Product Managers, fostering a culture of operational rigor, precision, and platform enablement.

  • Act as a trusted advisor to other Product & Tech teams looking to integrate with core banking engines, sharing best practices and enabling rapid go-to-market execution.

  • Manage stakeholder communication across Product, Engineering, Finance, Treasury, Risk, Compliance, and senior leadership.

  • Define and track domain KPIs that measure product enablement speed, system uptime, compliance metrics, OPEX cost savings, and balance sheet data integrity.

What you need to be successful:

  • 5-7+ years of product management experience, with a significant portion focused on core banking systems, ledger infrastructure, payments, or core platform products.

  • Proven experience partnering with Core Banking and Platform Engineering experts — you understand how transaction processing, ledgers, and accounting engines work and know how to build scalable platform products.

  • Strong technical literacy — you understand backend platform trade-offs, core endpoint dynamics, multi-currency ledgers, and data pipelines, allowing you to engage credibly with engineering teams.

  • Data-driven mindset — comfort working with complex financial datasets, defining meaningful operational and compliance KPIs, and making decisions grounded in evidence.

  • Financial services experience required — familiarity with regulatory requirements, audit standards, compliance considerations, and the operational realities of banking.

  • Agile practitioner — experience managing multiple mission-critical workstreams in fast-paced, high-availability environments.

  • Excellent communication skills — the ability to translate complex technical and financial concepts for non-technical audiences and align diverse stakeholders around a shared vision.

  • Strong translator between worlds — you can bridge the gap between Core Infrastructure experts and Product/Business stakeholders in both directions, ensuring mutual understanding and aligned priorities.

iOS Engineer - Digital Identity

N26Berlin, Barcelona, Vienna
Full-timeNot specifiedAug 6, 2026

About the opportunity

The Digital Identity team at N26 owns the authentication and login experience — the moment every customer interacts with our product.

Our mission is to make secure access seamless: biometric login, session management, device trust, and the underlying SDK infrastructure that makes all of it reliable at scale. We work at the intersection of security, product quality, and mobile engineering, and the iOS platform is a critical surface for everything we build.

This is a Hybrid role from Barcelona or Vienna.

In this role, you will:

  • Build and maintain iOS authentication flows — including biometric login (Face ID/Touch ID), session stability, and device management — used by millions of N26 customers.
  • Take co-ownership of the iOS codebase within the Digital Identity domain, working closely with the existing iOS engineer to grow shared coverage and resilience.
  • Integrate and maintain third-party mobile SDKs (e.g. biometric authentication, security tooling) and own the upgrade and reliability cycle.
  • Collaborate with Android and Backend engineers on cross-platform identity features, contributing to API design and shared testing infrastructure.
  • Drive iOS regression testing quality — including Testrail suite maintenance and automated test coverage — as a first-class engineering concern.
  • Use your platform knowledge to make architectural decisions for the iOS identity layer and tackle complex problems around security, performance, and stability.
  • Work with Product and stakeholders to shape the roadmap for the iOS experience within the Digital Identity domain.

What you need to be successful:

Background & Skills:

  • Demonstrated knowledge and deep understanding of the iOS platform and Swift.
  • Experience with iOS security frameworks — biometric APIs (LocalAuthentication), Keychain, or equivalent.
  • The ability to showcase your experience with a variety of iOS frameworks, including networking, UI, and testing.
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment, ideally on authentication, identity, or security-adjacent features.
  • An excellent debugger with strong analytical skills — session and device-layer bugs require patience and rigour.
  • Proficiency with tools like Jira and TestRail for issue tracking and test case management.
  • Full professional proficiency in English.

Traits:

  • Strong sense of ownership — in a focused team, your work ships directly to customers.
  • A systematic problem-solving approach, especially under security and reliability constraints.
  • Proactiveness, collaboration, and an eagerness to learn — you'll be working closely with your iOS peer and contributing to a broader mobile engineering community.
  • Comfort working autonomously while staying well-connected across platform and backend disciplines.

What's in it for you:

  • Accelerate your career growth by joining one of Europe's most talked-about disruptors.
  • Employee benefits including a competitive personal development budget, work-from-home budget, and discounts for fitness, wellness, language apps, and public transportation.
  • A free Premium subscription on your personal N26 bank account, plus subscriptions for friends and family.
  • Vacation: An additional day of annual leave for each year of service.
  • Autonomy: A high degree of autonomy and access to cutting-edge technologies.
  • Relocation: A relocation package with visa support for those who need it.

Senior Site Reliability Engineer - Software Logistics

N26Barcelona
Full-timeNot specifiedJul 31, 2026

About the opportunity

We're looking for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join the Software Logistics Team (CI/CD) within our Platform Engineering Segment.

Platform Engineering's mission is to provide easy-to-use, self-service platforms that enable other segments to build, deploy, and monitor their business applications with minimal friction. As one of the first banks hosted entirely in the cloud, we hold ourselves to high standards of security, resilience, and productivity — and we use a modern technology stack to deliver on them for our development teams, the company, and our customers.

In this role, you will:

  • Maintain, implement, and optimise the systems and applications that power CI/CD at N26
  • Shape and influence N26's CI/CD strategy, empowering development teams to deliver features faster
  • Improve the security and compliance posture of our systems
  • Implement security and compliance checks as a service within our CI/CD pipeline offering
  • Standardise our pipelines and raise the level of autonomy for our users
  • Mentor other engineers and help improve our ways of working and engineering practices
  • Take an active part in roadmap definition and prioritisation for our group
  • Stay on top of incidents and production deployment issues, ensuring stable and predictable delivery

What you need to be successful:

 Must have:

  • Experience with at least one high-level programming language and its ecosystem. We use Python, Go, TypeScript, and Kotlin in our daily work.
  • A good understanding of Linux, particularly networking, containerisation, and security. We operate in Unix-like environments every day.
  • Experience with cloud service providers, ideally a hyperscaler such as AWS, GCP, or Azure. Our primary cloud provider is AWS.

Nice to have:

  • Experience working in strict security- and compliance-oriented environments. Every action and change we make must be secure, traceable, and compliant — first and foremost.
  • Experience planning, building, and supporting scalable CI/CD pipelines using trunk-based development or GitHub Flow. Outside of mobile release constraints, we aim to deliver every change to production in minutes, not days.
  • A good understanding of integrated CI/CD platforms such as GitHub Actions or GitLab CI/CD. Our main pipeline driver is GitHub Actions.
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform (OpenTofu), Ansible, or Salt. Almost all of our infrastructure is managed as code — no manual magic.
  • Good knowledge of Kubernetes administration. Most of our workloads run on EKS, with a few exceptions.

What’s in it for you:

  • Accelerate your career growth by joining one of Europe’s most talked about disruptors 🚀.
  • Employee benefits that range from a competitive personal development budget, work from home budget, discounts to fitness & wellness memberships, language apps and public transportation.
  • As an N26 employee you will have access to a Premium subscription on your personal N26 bank account. As well as subscriptions for friends and family members.
  • Additional day of annual leave for each year of service.

Lead Product Manager - Conversational Banking

N26Berlin
Full-timeNot specifiedJul 30, 2026

About the role

Conversational Banking is how N26 scales support without scaling headcount at the same rate. Our ambition is banking as a non-event: clients get help in their channel and language of choice, and most issues resolve before a human agent ever needs to be involved. We build the intelligence in-house — N26 owns its own orchestration and intelligence layer rather than renting it from vendors — and the programme is now shifting from an assistant that answers questions to a system that acts on them.

As Product Manager, you will own one of the highest-value capability areas within the programme end to end — from discovery through delivery to measured resolution outcomes. You will work at the intersection of applied AI, banking operations and regulation, shipping capabilities that millions of clients across Europe use without thinking about them. That is the point.

What you'll do

  • Own a capability area. Take full product ownership of a defined slice of the programme — for example a set of high-volume client journeys or an agent-facing capability — including its roadmap, delivery and outcomes.
  • Ground everything in evidence. Lead discovery on the contact drivers behind your area, building problem statements from real client voice and operational data rather than assumption.
  • Ship agentic capabilities. Work daily with engineering and applied AI teams to move journeys from answering to acting — safe, autonomous resolution with the right guardrails and escalation paths.
  • Own your numbers. Instrument your area with resolution-first metrics and the counter-metrics that prove quality isn't traded for efficiency. You should be able to defend every figure you present.
  • Work the interfaces. Collaborate with operations, service partners and peer product teams so that what you ship lands in the real workflows of agents and back-office teams.
  • Build for a regulated bank. Design compliance, auditability and client protection into every capability from the start.

What good looks like after 12 months. Your capability area has a clear, delivered roadmap. The journeys you own resolve more client problems autonomously than they did a year ago, and you can prove it — with quality metrics that hold up. Engineering, operations and design consider you the person who understands the problem best.

What you bring

  • Three or more years in product management, with at least one shipped product or major capability you owned end to end.
  • Experience with AI-powered, conversational or automation products — or a demonstrable, hands-on understanding of how LLM-based systems behave in production.
  • Strong analytical fluency: comfortable defining metrics, working directly with data, and separating signal from vanity.
  • The communication range to write clearly for executives and to go deep with engineers, in English.
  • Bias to evidence over opinion, and comfort operating with ambiguity in a fast-moving programme.

Nice to have

  • Experience in banking, fintech or another regulated industry.
  • Exposure to contact-centre operations, BPO environments or customer-service tooling.
  • Additional European languages, given our multi-market client base.

Why this role, now

The segment has been newly formed and expanded, the platform foundations are proven, and the interesting work is just starting: taking journeys from containment to genuine autonomous resolution, on infrastructure the bank owns. You will join a small senior team with direct access to the programme's leadership and real ownership from day one.

N26 is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to an inclusive environment for all employees.

Director of Product, Grow & Engage

N26Berlin
Full-timeNot specifiedJul 28, 2026

About us

N26 is Europe's leading digital bank, fully licensed in Germany and active across more than 20 markets. We're not building another fintech product. We're building the bank people actually rely on: the account where their salary lands, their bills are paid, and their financial life is managed.

That ambition shapes how we build. As we enter a new phase of maturity, our focus is on scalability, robustness, and the kind of operational excellence that earns everyday trust — not just signups. New senior leaders are joining to drive this chapter, and we're sharpening how we ship and sustain products at scale.

We're also expanding into the moments that make a bank indispensable, from mobile connectivity to financial tools designed for families. These aren't adjacent experiments; they're part of a deliberate strategy to be embedded in daily life, not just downloaded and forgotten.

About the role

N26 is looking for a Director of Product to head up our Grow & Engage team. In this role, you will own Onboarding & Identity, Engagement & Product Discovery, Subscriptions, Primary Banking domains and lead a cross-functional team driving real impact across N26 — from user growth strategies, onboarding and identity and customer-facing features.

You will work at the intersection of Product, Engineering, Marketing and Compliance on one side, and real-world banking challenges on the other. Your mission is to translate user acquisition, onboarding, subscriptions and engagement strategies into scalable, compliant product experiences that create long-term value for N26's customers. You will be the connective tissue between growth mechanics and business outcomes, ensuring that conversion initiatives and subscription models reach production and deliver tangible top-line results.

Your impact

  • Drive the Growth & Engagement product roadmap: Lead the strategic vision across user onboarding, identity verification, and subscription features, balancing immediate conversion wins with long-term commercial bets.
  • Deliver on company-wide OKRs: Take full accountability for key growth metrics, including Primary Account Users (PAU), gross profit and customer retention.
  • Lead end-to-end product delivery: Own the entire product lifecycle for core growth initiatives—from opportunity sizing and A/B experimentation to market launch and continuous iteration.
  • Execute flagship commercial initiatives: Partner with Marketing, Compliance, and Engineering to bring high-impact offerings (such as our super tier) to market seamlessly.
  • Bridge Growth & Compliance: Navigate complex regulatory standards while maintaining top-of-funnel velocity, ensuring every product launch is both fully compliant and frictionless for users.
  • Foster an experimental culture: Drive a high-rigor, hypothesis-led experimentation framework across your team to optimize conversion funnels and maximize user LTV.
  • Manage senior stakeholder alignment: Act as the strategic connective tissue between Product, Marketing, Risk/Compliance, and executive leadership, ensuring clear communication and shared priorities.
  • Establish actionable growth metrics: Define and track KPIs that measure user engagement, funnel efficiency, and bottom-line business value to ensure total accountability for outcomes.

What you bring

  • 10+ years of product management experience, with a heavy focus on driving user acquisition, onboarding, engagement, or subscription growth within a scaled consumer app.
  • Commercial & business acumen: Proven track record of tying product decisions directly to top-line business metrics (such as RGU, PAU, gross profit, and LTV). You think like a business owner, not just a feature builder.
  • Deep analytical mastery: Exceptional ability to work with complex data sets, design rigorous A/B experiments, analyze funnel conversion, and ground every product decision in quantitative evidence.
  • Growth mechanics expertise: Deep familiarity with core engagement levers, including identity verification, onboarding optimization, retention loops, and subscription packaging.
  • Cross-functional leadership: Demonstrated success aligning product strategy with Marketing, Growth, and Compliance teams to execute seamless, high-stakes go-to-market launches.
  • Regulatory & financial services awareness: Experience operating within banking or regulated environments, balancing aggressive growth targets with strict compliance standards.
  • Agile & iterative execution: Comfortable managing multiple growth workstreams in fast-paced, high-velocity environments.
  • Exceptional communication: Proven ability to translate complex growth hypotheses and performance metrics into clear, compelling narratives for executive stakeholders.

What you can expect

We recognize that our strength lies in our people and the varied perspectives they bring to our workforce. We strive to build talented and diverse teams to drive our business success and empower our people to reach their full potential.

We genuinely welcome and encourage applications from people of all backgrounds, cultures, genders, sexual orientations, abilities, neurodiversities, and ages. Senior Product Manager - Operations Automation & Enablement (OAE)

N26Berlin
Full-timeNot specifiedJul 22, 2026

About the opportunity

We are seeking a hands-on, strategic Senior Product Manager - Ops Automation & Enablement (OAE) with a passion for building the intelligence and systems behind world-class banking operations.

This is a true builder’s role: you will lead the strategy, design, delivery, and enterprise-scale adoption of Agentic AI, hyperautomation, process mining, and internal tooling to reshape how complex, control-intensive Banking Operations are executed.

You will work cross-functionally with product managers, engineers, data scientists, and operational leaders to ensure N26 can scale aggressively across markets and product offerings without proportional headcount growth—all while maintaining the strict regulatory and quality standards our customers expect.

In this role, you will:

Lead Enterprise Transformation & Agentic AI Adoption:

  • Architect AI Workflows: Design, deploy, and govern E2E, multi-step Agentic AI solutions and automations that target high-volume processes, cross-team friction, and manual back-office tasks.
  • AI Champion: Act as the primary AI Champion for Banking Operations: translating complex ML/AI concepts into practical, working systems rather than just talking about them.
  • Change Management & Value Realization: Identify structural and behavioral barriers to adoption; design frameworks that embed new AI capabilities into day-to-day operations and team decision-making.

End-to-End Operating Model & Process Intelligence:

  • Process Mining Re-Engineering: Lead structured process capture, process mining, and workflow mapping. Evaluate opportunities to completely redesign end-to-end workflows rather than merely automating existing inefficiencies.
  • Core CRM & Platform Integration: Partner with Conversational Banking and Platform owners to optimize Salesforce (our core case-management backbone) and integrate AI agents with our central architecture and AWS infrastructure.
  • Operational Efficiency & ROI: Define and track clear metrics for every initiative (FTE impact, handling times, error rates, cost-per-unit, and time saved) to ensure high business value and ROI.

Execution, Governance & Cross-Functional Alignment:

  • Bridge Tech & Operations: Work directly with Banking Ops leads, Data Science, AI Enablement, and Engineering to turn operational pain points into clear product specs, PRDs, and prompt configurations.
  • Regulatory Excellence: Collaborate with Data Protection, Legal, and Compliance teams to build resilient workflows that comply strictly with GDPR, the EU AI Act, and internal governance standards.
  • Operational Readiness: Own product readiness for launches: ensuring changes in one pod do not disrupt downstream processes, control environments, or customer outcomes.

What you need to be successful:

  • Product Management Experience: 5+ years in Product Management, Process Engineering, or Operational Transformation, ideally in a fast-moving tech, digital, or fintech environment.
  • AI & Automation Track Record: Demonstrated experience taking ML, RPA, or Agentic AI products from 0 to 1 (or significantly scaling them) with measurable, quantified operational savings.
  • Hands-On & Technical Curiosity: Comfortable working with APIs, prompt engineering, agentic frameworks, and orchestration tools. You are hands-on enough to build/configure the first version yourself, but strategic enough to design the long-term vision.
  • Process Improvement Mindset: Proven expertise in workflow mapping, failure demand analysis, and structured waste-reduction methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, or equivalent).
  • Regulated Environment Experience: Background in banking or fintech, navigating compliance, legal, and risk sign-offs in a control-heavy environment.
  • Analytical & Data-Driven: Proficient in using data to model impact before building and measure results after (Power BI, SQL, or similar).
  • Stakeholder Management: Exceptional communication skills with a track record of presenting complex trade-offs to senior leadership (EXCO/SteerCo) and influencing cross-functional teams without direct authority.

About You:

  • Structured by default: You write things down, build systems, and actively retire processes that no longer serve the organization.
  • AI-First Instinct: You inherently see how agents can augment human teams and make work faster, smarter, and cleaner.
  • Pragmatic & Outcome-Focused: You care deeply about results, operational quality, and scalable growth, not just deploying shiny tools.

What’s in it for you:

  • Accelerate your career growth by joining one of Europe’s most talked about disruptors 🚀.
  • Employee benefits that range from a competitive personal development budget, work from home budget, discounts to fitness & wellness memberships, language apps and public transportation.
  • Come together with your team in the office for a dedicated day of teamwork each week, plus another day of your choice, and enjoy the flexibility of remote work the rest of the time. Some roles may require additional in-office presence.
  • As an N26 employee you will have access to a Premium subscription on your personal N26 bank account. As well as subscriptions for friends and family members.
  • Additional day of annual leave for each year of service.
  • A high degree of autonomy and access to cutting edge technologies - all while working with a friendly team of peers of diverse nationalities, life experiences and family statuses.
