Lead the Infra Foundations team, defining roadmap and owning the reliability, safety, and automation of core AWS account provisioning, networking, and IAM infrastructure.
7+ years of software/infrastructure engineering with 2+ years of management experience, strong cloud‑native (AWS) background, IaC (Terraform/Spacelift) expertise, and solid programming skills in Python, Go, or Kotlin.
The role ensures the foundational cloud layer is consistent, reliable, and secure, enabling all other infrastructure teams to provision and manage services at scale across global markets.

Affirm's engineering team is building a large-scale, highly available, and global infrastructure that is shared across multiple financial products. Ensuring that our infrastructure is accessible to all engineers is critical to the success of the business. The Infra Foundations team owns the foundational layer that every other infrastructure team builds on: AWS account provisioning, human IAM access, core networking, the IaC frameworks and workflows, and the automation that provisions and manages our cloud environments. Our mission is to provide a foundational infrastructure layer across all AWS accounts that is consistent, reliable, safe, and trustworthy, empowering every infrastructure team to provision, update, and delete their stacks quickly and safely through well-established workflows and automation.
We are looking for an engineering manager to lead this team, own its roadmap and operational health, and grow the engineers who keep Affirm's infrastructure foundation solid as we scale globally.

This remote role is open only to candidates residing in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Prince Edward Island, or Saskatchewan.
Base Pay Grade - P
Equity Grade - 7
Employees new to Affirm typically come in at the start of the pay range. Affirm focuses on providing a simple and transparent pay structure which is based on a variety of factors, including location, experience and job-related skills.
Base pay is part of a total compensation package that may include monthly stipends for health, wellness and tech spending, and benefits (including 100% subsidized medical coverage, dental and vision for you and your dependents). In addition, the employees may be eligible for equity rewards offered by Affirm Holdings, Inc. (parent company).
CAN base pay range per year: $181,000 - $241,000 CAD.
