About this role

🚀 We’re on a mission to make money work for everyone.

We’re waving goodbye to the complicated and confusing ways of traditional banking.

After starting as a prepaid card, our product offering has grown a lot in the last 10 years in the UK. As well as personal and business bank accounts, we offer joint accounts, accounts for 16-17 year olds, a free kids account and credit cards in the UK, with more exciting things to come beyond. Our UK customers can also save, invest and combine their pensions with us.

With our hot coral cards and get-paid-early feature, combined with financial education on social media and our award winning customer service, we have a long history of creating magical moments for our customers!

We’re not about selling products - we want to solve problems and change lives through Monzo ❤️

📍London/Hybrid | 💰 Salary range £120,000 - £140,000 + equity + Incentive Awards tied to your performance + benefits ✨

What you’ll be working on ⭐

As a Lead Product Manager for Growth, you will define and deliver the future of how people first experience Monzo. This is a rare opportunity to lead one of Monzo’s most strategically critical product domains, owning high-complexity bets that shape how millions of people discover, join and trust our bank.

You will own the strategic direction across our core growth engines: how we attract, onboard and activate people from their very first interaction. For our team, this means optimising the entire sign-up experience, removing activation friction, designing seamless new user journeys, and building powerful referral loops that turn everyday banking utility into organic network effects.

You’ll set a compelling multi-cycle vision, craft multiple high-signal strategies, and create the experimentation engine that turns ambition into reality. We’re looking for someone who pairs an analyst's data rigour with world-class product craft, and possesses the conviction to make non-obvious bets without precedent.

🔑You’ll play a key role by...

  • Leading the charge: set a durable product vision and strategy that spans multiple cycles, ensuring alignment with Monzo’s goals and an exceptional customer experience.
  • Communicating effectively: you get people inspired by the product vision and you share the right context with the right people at the right time.
  • Collaborating seamlessly: lead through influence across collectives, building deep partnerships with engineering, design, data, fincrime, legal and marketing to resolve complex organisational trade-offs.
  • Delivering impact: define, deliver and measure the impact of the customer-focused experiences you create.
  • Establishing high-velocity operating rhythms that empower squads to switch seamlessly between rapid experimentation, deep iteration and bold 0-1 builds.

🤩 We’d love to hear from you if…

  • You are a seasoned growth product manager, and have led multiple high-performing teams to ship world-class products at a fast growing company.
  • You have a track record of leading high-scale consumer growth efforts that drive significant top of funnel value for customers and scaling for the business.
  • You're exceptionally data-driven and commercial, and you know when to lean on rapid experimentation and when to move quicker with high conviction from first principles.
  • You can systematically break down high-ambiguity product spaces that lack precedent, structuring clear narratives that cut through noise and align teams.
  • You have excellent judgement, and have a track record of making good decisions in complex situations where there’s often no “right answer”.
  • You hold an uncompromising standard for product craft, moving effortlessly between high level company strategy and deep execution.
  • You can work effectively with a diverse range of people and working styles - spanning engineering, design, data, user research, marketing, legal and compliance - to get stuff done.
  • You’re a great storyteller, who is able to motivate, energise and inspire people towards a common goal.
  • You have experience mentoring, coaching or managing other product managers, setting a high performance bar and multiplying your impact through the people around you.

Not ticking every box? That’s totally okay! Studies show that women and people of colour might hesitate to apply unless they meet every single requirement. At Monzo, we’re dedicated to creating a diverse and welcoming team. If you’re passionate about this role and keen to learn and grow with us, we encourage you to apply— even if you don’t have everything that's listed just yet. Drop us your application, we’d love to hear from you!

🙌 What’s in it for you

💰 £120,000 - £140,000 ➕ Incentive Awards tied to your performance.

✈️ We’ll help you relocate to the UK.

✅ We can sponsor your visa.

📍This role can be based in our London office, but we're open to distributed working within the UK (with ad hoc meetings in London)

⏰ We offer flexible working hours and trust you to work enough hours to do your job well, and at times that suit you and your team.

📚 £1,000 learning budget each year to use on books, training courses and conferences.

🏡 We will set you up to work from home; all employees are given Macbooks and for fully remote workers we will provide extra support for your work-from-home setup.

➕ Plus lots more! Read our full list of benefits.

🌈 The application journey has 3 key steps

First stage - Recruiter screen
Second stage - Meet with our PM team
Third stage - Product full loop

This process should take around 3-4 weeks - your schedule is really important to us, so we promise to be as flexible as possible!

We have some guidelines on using Artificial Intelligence (AI) to ace an application and interview at Monzo. You can read them here.

We’ll only close this role once we have enough applications for the next stage. Please submit your application as soon as possible to make sure you don’t miss out.

If you’d prefer to work part-time, please let us know and we'll make this happen if we can.
