What you'll own

Lead a 30‑person AE organization across EMEA, set and own new‑business revenue targets, and personally drive strategic deals and sales methodology implementation.

What they're looking for

12+ years of sales experience, at least 4 years managing large teams (30+ across regions), strong executive presence, startup experience, and understanding of AI companies.

Why this role matters

The role accelerates Stripe’s mission to increase the internet’s GDP by acquiring high‑potential startups as strategic financial partners across EMEA.

Best suited to

Seasoned sales leaders who have built and scaled high‑performing account teams in Europe, excel at cross‑functional collaboration, and thrive on executive‑level negotiations.

About this role

Who we are

About Stripe

Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies—from the world’s largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups—use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone’s reach while doing the most important work of your career.

About the team

We are passionate about startups’ success, and building a strong community among founders and investors is core to Stripe’s mission of increasing the GDP of the internet.

What you’ll do

As the Europe, Middle East, and Africa Head of New Business for Startups, you’ll lead an organization of more than 30 account executives, including three direct-report managers, focused on new business acquisition across the region. You’ll oversee high-value deals, develop systematic approaches to acquiring new business, and establish Stripe as the strategic financial infrastructure partner for high-potential startups.

Responsibilities

  • Build and lead an organization of more than 30 account executives through three regional managers, establishing consistent processes for user acquisition, growth, and performance
  • Own the Startups New Business revenue targets across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, with personal involvement in strategic deals, deal analysis, complex negotiations, and pricing discussions
  • Develop and execute a long-term growth strategy focused on winning new users, increasing product adoption, and improving activation across the region
  • Implement sales methodologies that identify high-potential startups while supporting acquisition across a broader user base
  • Build executive-level relationships with key prospects and represent Stripe in strategic deals and at industry events
  • Tailor regional sales approaches for local markets, with a focus on increasing product adoption at the point of acquisition and improving sales cycles
  • Work with Product, Marketing, Solutions Architecture, and Sales Finance to develop value propositions, metrics, and accountability frameworks that support consistent performance

Who you are

We’re looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.

Minimum requirements

  • 12+ years of sales experience, including at least four years in second-line management, and experience working with startups
  • Experience managing and scaling a sales organization of more than 30 people across multiple managers, geographies, and European markets
  • A record of managing and growing multimillion-euro portfolios, meeting revenue targets, and coaching managers and individual contributors
  • Experience working with senior leaders during high-stakes negotiations and complex pricing discussions, and aligning large cross-functional groups around a shared strategy
  • Ability to identify long-term opportunities beyond immediate targets, along with an understanding of how artificial intelligence companies operate
