What you'll own

Own a named portfolio of prospective enterprise accounts across ANZ, build and execute outbound strategies, map complex organisations, and lead the full new‑business sales cycle from prospecting to signing and launch.

What they're looking for

8+ years of sales experience, including at least 2 years selling to enterprise customers, a proven record of exceeding targets, strong prospecting and account‑planning skills, ability to engage senior business and technical stakeholders, and strong presentation and negotiation abilities.

Why this role matters

The role drives new enterprise revenue for Stripe in Australia, expanding the platform’s reach and supporting the company’s mission to increase the internet’s GDP by acquiring high‑value customers.

Best suited to

A commercially ambitious, highly autonomous seller who thrives on self‑generated pipeline, can navigate technical and commercial complexity, and enjoys building strategic relationships with senior stakeholders.

About this role

Who we are

About Stripe

Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies, from the world’s largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups, use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a significant amount of work ahead.

About the team

As an Account Executive on Stripe’s Hunter Enterprise team, you’ll drive new business by building relationships with prospective enterprise customers across Australia. You’ll work with a named account list, identify where Stripe can solve complex business challenges, and turn those opportunities into long-term customer relationships.

What you’ll do

As an Enterprise Account Executive, you’ll focus on acquiring new enterprise customers across Australia. This is a hunting role: you’ll build pipeline through targeted outbound prospecting, develop relationships across complex organisations, and lead opportunities from initial engagement through commercial negotiation, signing, and launch.

You’ll create and execute account strategies that connect prospective customers’ business priorities with Stripe’s platform. Working with executive and technical stakeholders, you’ll develop business cases, shape multi-product solutions, and demonstrate Stripe’s value in competitive sales processes.

We’re looking for a commercially ambitious and highly autonomous seller who can balance near-term revenue delivery with the relationship building required to win strategic enterprise accounts. You should be comfortable creating opportunities rather than relying solely on inbound demand, and working through both technical and commercial complexity.

Responsibilities

  • Own a named portfolio of prospective enterprise accounts across ANZ and develop strategic account plans to win new business.
  • Build and execute targeted outbound strategies to create qualified opportunities and maintain a strong pipeline.
  • Map complex organisations, identify decision-makers, and build relationships with executive sponsors and stakeholders across Finance, Product, Engineering, and Payments.
  • Lead the full new-business sales cycle, from prospecting and discovery through solution development, commercial negotiation, and signing.
  • Understand prospective customers’ business and technical challenges, and position Stripe’s platform and products against their priorities.
  • Lead product workshops, business case development, and financial analyses that help prospective customers quantify the value of adopting Stripe.
  • Develop competitive deal strategies and lead complex negotiations involving multiple stakeholders and bespoke commercial agreements.
  • Partner with internal technical, product, partnerships, and post-sales teams to shape solutions and support a coordinated transition from signing to implementation and launch.

Who you are

We’re looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you’re encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus,

not a requirement.

Minimum requirements

  • 8+ years of sales experience, including at least 2 years working with enterprise customers, preferably at a technology company, with a demonstrated record of exceeding commercial targets.
  • Experience winning new enterprise customers through self-generated pipeline, targeted prospecting, and strategic account development.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute account plans across complex organisations with multiple business units, stakeholders, or subsidiaries.
  • Experience leading complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles from discovery through solution development, commercial negotiation, and close.
  • Ability to translate complex technical capabilities into clear business value and engage confidently with senior business and technical stakeholders.
  • Strong presentation and negotiation skills, including experience building business cases and securing executive support.
  • Ability to prioritise independently and make progress in a fast-moving environment with ambiguity.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience selling to enterprise organisations in Australia and New Zealand.
  • Experience selling payments, financial infrastructure, or technically complex software platforms.
  • Prior experience at a growth-stage internet or software company.
  • Experience working closely with technical pre-sales, product, partnerships, and implementation teams.

  • Location: 383 Kent Street, Sydney, NSW 2000, Australia
