AI/ML Engineer

Chime's AI/ML Trust & Safety team builds models, insights, and decisioning systems that help protect millions of members while enabling safe, reliable financial progress. This AI/ML Engineer will contribute to end-to-end model development, analysis, and production-facing decision systems with guidance from senior team members, building deeper expertise in applied ML, risk systems, experimentation, generative AI, and sequence models.

Requires 1-2 years of experience in applied data science or AI/ML engineering (including internships/academic/project experience), working knowledge of ML fundamentals, familiarity with cloud platforms (preferably AWS), and strong communication skills.

Location: San Francisco, CA (hybrid, 4 days/week in office). Base salary: $125,000 - $173,000, plus bonus, equity, and benefits.
