We are looking for an Events Manager to join our Marketing team in London. You will be responsible for the creation and execution of all internal and client facing events for Thought Machine. You will work closely with the key stakeholders and c-level execs to understand the goals and requirements to execute each event. DUTIES - End to end planning - planning an event from start to finish according to the objectives, requirements and target audience. - Venue research across multiple regions including London, APAC and AMER ensuring the venue selection is on brand in terms of look and feel. - Supplier selection and management - ensuring catering, production, AV etc are all engaged and briefed. - Stakeholder management - working closely with each stakeholder to keep them informed on logistics and ensure the event is being delivered in conjunction to the brief as well as reviewing content for the event. - Documentation - from supplier briefs, timelines, budgets, roles and responsibilities and creating proposal decks. - Finance - onboarding suppliers onto our internal finance systems to ensure compliance checks and smooth invoice payments. - Budgeting and negotiating including reviewing contracts - Invite and guest management - Communication - sending company wide comms via email and slack to ensure employees are aware of upcoming events. - Onsite executions (travel may be required for global events) - Post event surveys and wrap ups/debriefs - Management of our swag fulfilment warehouse and online store. Architects within the Expert Services team at Thought Machine play a crucial role in enabling clients to successfully modernise their core banking and payments systems using the Vault platform. This involves working across pre-sales and delivery engagements to provide expert advice on deployment, configuration, integration, and migration. The Architect will consult on the successful execution of end-to-end core replacement programmes. They are expected to have deep knowledge of the Vault product suite and future roadmap, both in terms of functionality offered, the non-functional requirements it has been designed to meet and the choices and constraints that have informed that architecture. Key Responsibilities - Present Vault architecture and best practices to senior client stakeholders during pre-sales engagements and delivery. - Interact with senior stakeholders across client organisations in both delivery and pre-sales, leveraging a broad consulting skillset. - Work with banks to define target architectures and transition states for Vault implementations and migrations, ensuring the application of best practice. - Design end-to-end solutions for core banking replacement initiatives, with the Vault product suite as the central component. - Create and utilize AI agents to accelerate the delivery of architectural deliverables, and enable clients to take advantage of the same assets. - Maintain an advanced level of understanding of the Vault platform and its future direction, providing a thorough overview to clients. - Act as a self-sufficient consultant, often engaging with clients individually without continuous team support. - Deliver training to client teams on Vault functionality and architecture. - Create and maintain client-facing collateral on architectural topics. - Interface with the Thought Machine product function to feedback necessary product features that allow clients to realise value, influencing the product roadmap. Requirements Essential - Experience designing enterprise architectures for large financial service institutions. - Domain knowledge in banking, ideally core banking or payments, with an understanding of the business drivers and regulatory context influencing large-scale transformation programmes. - Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. - Strong technical background, with good practical knowledge of established architectural patterns such as event-based architecture, CQRS, and process orchestration. - Expert knowledge of cloud technologies and architectures, including emerging approaches for achieving high availability and disaster recovery (e.g., running systems across multi-availability zones and regions). - Strong client-facing skills with the ability to communicate and defend a technical position to a mixed and potentially senior audience (enterprise architects, engineers, and business stakeholders). - Good understanding of the business context, regulatory environment, and motivations for banking transformations, informing advice with banking domain knowledge and understanding of transformation execution. Back End Engineering is a key role within Thought Machine as Back End Engineers lead the development of Thought Machine’s Vault product. We pride ourselves in excellence in this role, adopting the best practices in continuous deployment monorepo style development. While development at Thought Machine is fast paced, you will be expected to develop code to a high standard and production ready state. Duties - Design, implement and develop scalable, performant microservices using best practices. - Write automated unit tests, integrate tests, etc. - Interfacing with other engineering teams to ensure that features are added in a structured and coherent way. - Managing and debugging your deployments from testing environments all the way to production. - Translating customer requirements into trackable tickets. This is a full-time, permanent position based in our Lisbon office, requiring four days a week onsite. This position plays a key role in ensuring Thought Machine teams are taking all required steps in building a secure product set. You will play a major and leading role in protecting Thought Machine product against security risks, with influence to implement cutting-edge measures to minimise exposures and vulnerabilities. Whether engineering a system to address a technical security hurdle, protecting our customers' data, or consulting on a wide range of security topics, you are empowered to engage and lead cross-functionally. DUTIES - Drive improvements to Thought Machines product security posture through strategic planning and collaboration with both development and infrastructure teams, with trust, autonomy and influence. - Produce production web scale grade application security design. - Review and produce data privacy and financial regulatory functional and nonfunctional designs. - Perform design reviews and Threat modeling of Thought Machine services and products. - Perform vulnerability assessments and security testing. - Providing subject matter expertise on all areas of security and privacy throughout the Software Development lifecycle. - Liaison with development teams for design, code reviews & education. - To contribute to security strategy, security tooling selection and creation. - Conduct regular security assessments and code reviews.
