About this role

Company Description

We are where the world checks out, enabling over 10 billion transactions yearly for more than one billion global shoppers.

Whether you want to book a holiday, order food, renew a subscription, or check out online, there’s a good chance our tech powers the payments behind the scenes. Our platform helps the most ambitious businesses deliver effortless digital experiences, at scale.

If you want to do career-defining work, you’ve come to the right place. We move fast, think globally, and believe great teams are built by hiring exceptional people with conviction, curiosity, and the desire to make an impact.

With 20 offices across six continents and London as our HQ, we’re shaping the future of fintech – and we’re just getting started.

Checkout.com is seeking a detail-oriented Specialist to join our growing Issuing Operations team based in Tallinn.

As a Specialist, you will be a key engine behind our client go-lives and operational stability. You will focus on making production-grade changes and configurations, managing technical administration, documenting and creating operational processes, and running small implementation projects to support our growing customer base.

What you will be doing

  • Production Configurations & Go-Lives: Execute production-grade changes, system configurations, and data entry required to bring client card programs live cleanly and accurately.
  • Process Documentation & Creation: Document existing operational workflows, identify opportunities for process improvement, and author net-new processes to standardize and streamline team operations.
  • Small Project Execution: Lead and run small projects, supporting client onboarding milestones and internal operational initiatives from start to finish.
  • Operational Readiness & Administration: Manage core administrative workflows, keep internal systems updated, and prepare documentation so support and operational teams are ready for client handovers.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including Product, Engineering, Risk, and Support, to track task progress and resolve day-to-day configuration blockers.

About You

  • Experience: 1–3 years of experience in operations, technical administration, or project delivery.
  • Domain Knowledge: Background in Card Issuing is strongly preferred. Experience in Acquiring or the broader Payments / Fintech industry is also highly valued.
  • System & Configuration Aptitude: Comfortable working directly within technical systems and administrative portals to make accurate, production-grade updates and configurations.
  • Process Discipline & Documentation: Strong ability to create clear, organized documentation and build structured, repeatable workflows from scratch.
  • Detail-Oriented & Organized: High attention to detail with the ability to manage task-level administrative work while balancing competing priorities.
  • Problem Solver: A proactive mindset aimed at identifying process bottlenecks and taking ownership of practical solutions.
  • Communication: Clear written and verbal communication skills in English to collaborate effectively with cross-functional internal teams.

If you don't meet all the requirements but think you might still be right for the role, please apply anyway. We're always keen to speak to people who connect with our mission and values.
