What You will Be Doing

  • Building Large-Scale Systems: Designing and engineering systems that can scale to handle high volumes of transactions.
  • Developing Products Our Customers Love: Iterating from an idea to the final solution, shaping, building, testing, and measuring the performance of the features our customers love.
  • Mentorship: Providing guidance and support to junior team members, fostering their growth through mentoring, knowledge-sharing, and hands-on collaboration.
  • Tech Leadership: Leading technical initiatives from architecture design to implementation, ensuring engineering excellence.
  • Problem-Solving: Utilising your creative problem-solving skills and analytical abilities to resolve complex issues and contribute to our mission of making financial processes effortless.

What You’ll Bring

  • Always Be Shipping Mindset: It’s about consistently delivering value to customers, where speed and quality go hand in hand.
  • 6+ years of experience in developing large-scale applications, preferably with PHP or Java. Experience with Go, C#, or Python is also valued but you are willing to work with PHP or Java.
  • Proven experience in leading architectural decisions and technical initiatives, delivering end-to-end solutions, and optimising processes.
  • Experience in mentoring junior developers and implementing strategies to drive team growth and skill development.
  • Excellent communication skills, with experience working effectively with various stakeholders. Can explain complex problems and solutions in simple terms.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to shape ideas with a product-first approach, as well as analyse and resolve complex issues.
  • Ability to hold yourself accountable for your tasks, and show a willingness to proactively identify and improve things, whether technical or business related.
