The Role

We are looking for a Junior Data Analyst to help support our growing business and build out our data capabilities.  You will be working with the Analytics team, collaborating with teams across business services to build efficiencies that support day-to-day functions. You will support people across the company by building self-serve analytics content across our BI tooling - we’re using dbt, Looker, DOMO, and Amplitude at GoCardless. You’ll support the dashboards and underpinning models that enable deep insight into a fast-growing business and develop an expert knowledge of all areas of our operation. You’ll help people in all areas of GoCardless make better, faster, more data-driven decisions. Analytics is part of our Data & Business Systems Group, which at its heart exists to maximise day-to-day efficiency and productivity within GoCardless. We do this by bringing together teams that span data & technology to provide a 1 stop shop for our customers.

 

The main elements of this role will involve:

  • Data collection: Identifying relevant sources, specifying data requirements, and retrieving the data. 
  • Data cleaning: Inspecting the data, handling missing values and outliers, transforming the data, standardising formats, and validating the cleaned data 
  • Data visualisation: Using visualisations to tell data stories to a variety of audiences.
  • Data analysis: Interpreting results, finding insights, and spotting trends and fluctuations.
  • Documentation: Documenting the information and content that will be consumed and processed. 
  • Assisting the team: Helping members of the team across various analytics projects, namely building dashboards, supporting pipelines, data cleansing, and providing insights, to name a few.

Base salary range: 20,000 EUR - 30,000 EUR

 

Base salary ranges are based on role, job level, location, and market data.  Please note that whilst we strive to offer competitive compensation, our approach is to pay between the minimum and the mid-point of the pay range until performance can be assessed in role. Offers will take into account level of experience, interview assessment, budgets and parity between you and fellow employees at GoCardless doing similar work.
