What you'll own

Research and source high‑growth markets and companies, own core diligence workstreams (financial modeling, competitive analysis, investment theses), and help build product experiences that connect retail investors to Robinhood Ventures deals.

What they're looking for

Current full‑time MBA student with investment banking, private‑equity or high‑growth finance experience, strong financial modeling and valuation skills, curiosity about emerging tech, a startup network (or drive to build one), and proven ability to work independently in a lean, cross‑functional environment.

Why this role matters

The role fuels Robinhood Ventures’ mission to create a world‑class VC platform that democratizes access to the $124 trillion wealth transfer, enabling the firm to source and back the next generation of private‑company leaders.

Best suited to

Ambitious, high‑performing candidates who thrive in fast‑moving, in‑person teams, love deep research, enjoy building cross‑functional products, and are eager to make a tangible impact on large‑scale venture investments.

About this role

Join us in building the future of finance.

Our mission is to democratize finance for all. An estimated $124 trillion of assets will be inherited by younger generations in the next two decades. The largest transfer of wealth in human history. If you’re ready to be at the epicenter of this historic cultural and financial shift, keep reading.

About the team + role

We are building an elite team, applying frontier technologies to the world’s biggest financial problems. We’re looking for bold thinkers. Sharp problem-solvers. Builders who are wired to make an impact. Robinhood isn’t a place for complacency, it’s where ambitious people do the best work of their careers. We’re a high-performing, fast-moving team with ethics at the center of everything we do. Expectations are high, and so are the rewards.

Robinhood Ventures’ mission is to build one of the best venture capital platforms in the world and make it accessible to investors everywhere. Through our publicly-traded funds in Robinhood Ventures Fund I and Robinhood Ventures Fund II  we’ve already invested in some of the best private companies in the world like OpenAI, Databricks, Ramp, and more - and we’re just getting started.

As an Investment Intern in Robinhood Ventures you will be a core part of our lean team. You will research, evaluate, and support investments across the Robinhood Ventures platform, with a focus on late-stage investments.

This role is based in our Menlo Park, CA office with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week.

At Robinhood, we believe in the power of in-person work to accelerate progress, spark innovation, and strengthen community. Our office experience is intentional, energizing, and designed to fully support high-performing teams.

What you’ll do

  • Research and sourcing - You’ll research markets and sectors that you believe we should be paying attention to, and then identify the key companies in them that Robinhood Ventures needs to meet.
  • Investment evaluation - You’ll be a key part of the deal team for investments we evaluate. You’ll own core diligence workstreams like the financial model, competitive analysis, and help shape investment theses.
  • Platform building - You’ll work with teams across Product, Operations, Marketing, Legal, and more to help build experiences in the Robinhood app to further differentiate Robinhood Ventures for both retail investors and portfolio companies.

What you bring

  • Currently enrolled in a full-time MBA program
  • Prior experience in investment banking, private equity, or finance at a high-growth company, with fluency in financial modeling, valuation analysis, and market research; late-stage investing or venture capital experience is a plus
  • Intellectual curiosity and a demonstrated interest in emerging technologies and the private companies driving them — you proactively form opinions on key trends and companies
  • An existing network in the startup ecosystem, or the drive to build one, that can help Robinhood Ventures identify and connect with promising companies
  • Proven ability to work independently in lean, high-output environments, with experience collaborating across cross-functional teams

What we offer

  • Market competitive compensation structure
  • Quarterly lifestyle wallet for personal wellness, learning and development, and more
  • Access to the best AI tools on the market and continuous AI skill-building for every employee, technical or not
  • Time away including company holidays, paid time off, and sick time
  • Lively office environment with catered meals, fully stocked kitchens, and geo-specific commuter benefits
