Digital Marketing Manager

Adyen is looking for a data-driven, proactive and collaborative Digital Marketing Manager. This role will work from our Tokyo office and reports directly to the Digital Marketing Lead APAC with a dotted-report line to the Marketing Team Lead Japan. 

The Digital Marketing role is focused on driving impact for Adyen’s acquisition efforts of new customers through marketing. In this role, you’ll be responsible for planning, setting up and optimizing targeted digital marketing campaigns across owned, earned and paid channels. 

The ideal candidate is experienced with B2B digital marketing and fluent in working with revenue-based goals. This is a matrixed role collaborating across Japan, APAC and global marketing teams to optimize Adyen’s impact through digital channels. 

What you'll do

  • Build the entire digital marketing strategy and operational excellence in the Japan market.
  • Plan, set up and optimize digital marketing campaigns to achieve the marketing generated pipeline generation goal through digital channels. 
  • Drive GEO/SEO efforts to increase organic traffic to Adyen Japan website through search query research and the webpage optimization.  
  • Optimize the landing page for digital campaigns including the contact forms to maximize the conversion rate to marketing leads through the A/B testing. 
  • Handle local paid media advertising such as SERP and display through either direct deals and / or agencies. Manage digital agency relationship including campaign briefing, day to day communication, challenge media plans, campaign optimisation, budget allocation, evaluations. 
  • Manage email campaigns using the marketing automation tool to nurture prospectus leads
  • Leverage analytics tools to determine effectiveness of campaigns across all channels and manage tags to track website traffic data.  
  • Work closely with the commercial teams like global marketing, APAC digital marketing, Japan marketing and Japan commercial teams to optimize your digital campaigns. 

What they're looking for

  • 5+ years of experience in a digital marketing role in the B2B tech industry focused on driving the acquisition of net new customers. Fintech experience is a plus.
  • Japanese SEO experience. GEO experience is a huge plus. 
  • Technical SEO experience with knowledge of CSS, HTML and Java script. 
  • Capability to create, modify and manage the web pages using CMS such as Contentful. 
  • Web page localization experience using TMS such as Smartling is a plus. 
  • Experience with Optimizely or other testing tools to run the A/B testing.  
  • Hands-on experience running Google Ads campaigns, including tCPA optimization, budget management, and performance reporting. 
  • Data-driven, analytical mindset. Experience in using GA4, Search Console, Ahrefs, Marketo, Salesforce and Looker Studio. 
  • Agency relationship management experience.
  • Adaptive to a fast-paced work environment with cross-national collaboration.    
  • Fluency in spoken and written English and Japanese.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally (20% or more).
