What you'll own

Own and execute the Growth Pillar roadmap for Wise Business, partnering with Sales to build an Account Specialist function, shaping product tooling, and collaborating with Marketing to drive SME brand awareness and customer retention.

What they're looking for

8+ years in growth, business operations or strategy (ideally fintech/B2B), proven operational execution, strong commercial acumen, stakeholder‑management expertise, and data‑driven skills including SQL.

Why this role matters

The role fuels Wise’s mission by scaling the SME segment, increasing revenue per customer, and ensuring Wise Business becomes the core financial tool for growing companies worldwide.

Best suited to

A strategic, entrepreneurial leader who thrives in fast‑paced, cross‑functional environments, can turn ideas into processes and teams, and influences product, sales, and marketing toward unified growth goals.

About this role

Company Description

Wise is a global technology company, building the best way to move and manage the world’s money.

Min fees. Max ease. Full speed.

Whether people and businesses are sending money to another country, spending abroad, or making and receiving international payments, Wise is on a mission to make their lives easier and save them money.

As part of our team, you will be helping us create an entirely new network for the world's money.

For everyone, everywhere.

More about our mission and what we offer.

The opportunity

The opportunity

We’re looking for a Manager to lead the Growth Pillar within our Business Operations team. This is a critical strategic role dedicated to Wise Business, our international account that helps small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) scale without borders.

As the Growth Lead for Biz Ops, you will sit at the intersection of Product, Marketing, Sales, and Operations to enable the growth of our Business customers.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Strategy & Execution: Own the roadmap for the Growth Pillar, ensuring we are on track to meet our goals for Wise Business customers.
  • Operationalize Account Specialists and partner with Sales: Partner with our Sales teams to nurture high-value leads and build out a world-class Account Specialist organization focused on the growth and retention of our most impactful customers.
  • Shape Product Strategy: Act as the strategic bridge between our Business product and operations teams to build out the right tooling for the Commercial team, as well as the right experience for our largest Businesses.
  • Marketing Partnership: Work closely with Business Marketing to drive brand awareness specifically tailored to the SME segment.
  • Retention & Value: Identify opportunities to increase "revenue per customer" by deeply understanding business needs and ensuring Wise becomes their essential day-to-day financial tool.

What You'll Bring

  • Strategic Leadership: 8+ years of experience in Growth, Business Operations, or Strategy roles, ideally within a fast-scaling B2B or Fintech environment.
  • Operational Excellence: You don't just come up with ideas; you build the processes and teams (like Account Management/Specialists) to make them a reality.
  • Commercial Acumen: You are comfortable with aggressive revenue targets and know how to pull the levers of acquisition, upsell, and retention to reach them.
  • Collaboration & Influence: You are an expert stakeholder manager. You can align Product, Sales, and Marketing teams toward a singular goal, navigating complex global structures with ease.
  • Data-Driven Mindset: While you have great intuition, you back it up with data. SQL proficiency and ability to build out own analysis and dashboards.
  • Entrepreneurial Drive: You have a bias for action. You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where you are expected to identify high-impact opportunities and "just make them happen."

Nice to have

  • Deep understanding of the financial and expense management needs of SMEs with prior experience in the space.
  • Experience in building or scaling an Account Management or Customer Success function from the ground up.
  • Familiarity with the "servicing" side of growth—understanding how customer support and onboarding friction impact long-term retention.

Additional Information

£90,000 - £118,000

For everyone, everywhere. We're people building money without borders  — without judgement or prejudice, too. We believe teams are strongest when they are diverse, equitable and inclusive.

We're proud to have a truly international team, and we celebrate our differences.

Inclusive teams help us live our values and make sure every Wiser feels respected, empowered to contribute towards our mission and able to progress in their careers.
