What you'll own

You’ll own the end‑to‑end lead flow – quickly responding to inbound inquiries, prospecting outbound in the UK/Ireland, qualifying and prioritizing opportunities, and keeping detailed activity and pipeline data in Salesforce while partnering with Account Executives and the GM Europe on key GTM initiatives.

What they're looking for

The role requires the right to work in the UK, daily AI fluency, strong written and verbal communication, a self‑starter mindset with high urgency, and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, office‑based environment; experience in business development, inside sales, or similar high‑growth settings is a plus.

Why this role matters

As one of the first hires on the London Business Development team, you’ll shape Ramp’s market entry in Europe, building a high‑quality pipeline that directly fuels the company’s growth and helps customers save and grow revenue.

Best suited to

Ideal for a high‑agency, builder‑type seller who thrives in ambiguity, loves rapid execution, embraces AI tools, and wants to make a tangible impact on a fast‑growing fintech’s European expansion.

About this role

About Ramp

Ramp is building the smart infrastructure for finance teams, embedded in the transaction flow of every dollar a business spends. We automate how over $275B in annualized spend flows in and out of 85,000+ companies: authorizing payments, flagging risk, categorizing spend, and closing books.

The problems are high-stakes, data-dense, and unforgiving.

We hire people with high agency and high urgency. We look for slope over intercept. We care less about where you trained and more about what you’ve built. At Ramp, everyone is a builder who owns problems end to end and makes consequential decisions that shape the outcome.

The median Ramp customer saves 7.5% and grows revenue 16% in their first year – far in excess of businesses operating without Ramp. We believe every ambitious company deserves the same.

If you want to build systems that directly shape how companies move and manage billions, Ramp is the place to do it.

About the Role

As one of the first members of the Business Development team in our London office, you will be focused on building Ramp’s presence in the European market. In this high-velocity, high-impact role, you’ll hunt sales opportunities and quickly qualify, prioritize, and convert expressed interest into high-quality pipeline. Strong execution is critical, but so is strategic thinking.

Our sales organization is looking for someone who is self-motivated and has a natural inclination for selling – a builder who can perform in ambiguity. As part of our early-stage team, you’ll act as the initial point of contact in prospecting and qualifying leads, and help design qualification frameworks that will scale with the team. If you’re eager to learn, embrace challenges and are passionate about playing a key role in defining Ramp’s presence in Europe and accelerating growth in this new market, this role is for you.

What You’ll Do

  • Respond to and qualify high-volume inbound leads via multi-channel outreach with urgency and precision
  • Source new business opportunities across the United Kingdom/Ireland through outbound prospecting and outreach
  • Conduct consultative discovery to understand prospect pain points, priorities, and intent
  • Partner closely with Account Executives to on opportunities and support deal expansion
  • Maintain accurate and detailed activity, notes, and pipeline data in Salesforce
  • Continuously refine talk tracks, objection handling, and discovery techniques based on performance data and feedback
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within Salesforce
  • Work closely with our GM Europe on highest priority GTM initiatives

What You Need

  • Right to work in the UK is required
  • AI fluency as a daily habit. Ramp is a builder culture: if you don't instinctively reach for AI before doing things manually, this role will be a hard adjustment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Dedication to consistent self-improvement
  • Self-starter with a high sense of urgency
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work 5x a week in office, in London, United Kingdom

Nice to Haves

  • Fluency in additional European languages
  • Experience in a high-growth startup, consulting, VC, IB/PE, or other analytically intensive environments
  • Previous experience in a customer-facing, business development, or inside sales role, ideally within a fast-paced environment
  • Prior CRM experience (preferably Salesforce)
  • Demonstrated ability to build or improve processes or workflows in a prior role

Benefits available to all full-time Ramp employees (Global)

  • Flexible PTO
  • Centralized home-office equipment ordering
  • Health and wellness stipend
  • Budget for intra-office travel
  • Weekly coffee stipend

United States

  • 100% medical, dental & vision insurance coverage for you, with partial coverage for dependents
  • One Medical annual membership
  • 401(k), including employer match on contributions made while employed by Ramp
  • Fertility HRA (up to $10,000 per year)
  • Parental leave: up to 16 weeks (birthing + bonding) or 8 weeks (bonding only) at 100% pay
  • Pet insurance
