The bar is high, the environment is intense, and we like it that way. This isn't a place for complacency, it’s a place to be pushed past your perceived limits. We're hiring a Senior Associate to join the Business Development team. This team is responsible for sourcing, executing, and scaling critical partnerships across Coinbase's core products, business lines, and global ecosystem. You'll autonomously own a portfolio of high-impact partner relationships, lead complex deal execution from first conversation through launch, and work directly with product and business leaders to bring new partnerships to life as company priorities and market opportunities evolve.

What you'll do:

  • Own and manage a portfolio of partnerships end-to-end, driving execution against commitments, resolving blockers, and ensuring partners deliver on agreed milestones and KPIs.
  • Shape partnership strategy by identifying where new relationships can unlock growth, co-creating commercial frameworks alongside Product, Engineering, and Business leaders.
  • Source, structure, and negotiate complex commercial agreements, independently managing the full deal lifecycle from initial outreach through close.
  • Track partnership performance metrics, flag risks to senior stakeholders, and drive cross-functional resolution across legal, compliance, product, marketing, and finance.
  • Lead partnership launches by coordinating cross-functional workflows and ensuring operational readiness from contract signing through go-live.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 5+ years in strategic, deal-oriented roles such as business development, corporate development, investment banking, consulting, or strategy with demonstrated experience closing complex commercial agreements.
  • Proven track record of independently identifying partnership opportunities, building commercial frameworks, evaluating deal economics, and driving initiatives from concept through close.
  • Demonstrated ability to use data to assess partnership performance, model economics, and develop recommendations that influence senior decision-making.
  • Experience coordinating across cross-functional teams (legal, product, finance) to drive project execution from sourcing through launch in fast-moving environments with limited precedent.
  • Utilizes generative AI responsibly, maintaining human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs and drive measurable improvements in workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.
