Robinhood is looking for an experienced credit attorney to join the product and regulatory counsel team as Assistant General Counsel, serving as primary legal architect and product counsel for the credit ecosystem, guiding teams from ideation through launch, managing regulatory compliance, and crafting consumer agreements for retail credit card and consumer banking initiatives.
Requires a J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school, membership in at least 1 U.S. State Bar, and 7+ years of relevant experience across a law firm, government agency, or fast-paced technology/financial services/banking/lending/payments/fintech company, with deep knowledge of consumer lending and banking laws (TILA, ECOA, FCRA, FDCPA, EFTA) and payments regulations (NACHA, card network rules, BSA/AML, money transmission).
Role based in Menlo Park, CA; New York, NY; or Washington, DC, with in-person attendance at least 3 days/week. Base pay range: $170,000-$255,000 USD depending on zone, plus bonus, equity, and benefits.
