Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone's reach while doing the most important work of your career.

About the team

Stripe is investing in building out its Capital Product Sales team to actively engage SaaS platforms and Marketplaces to embed our loans into their own experience, helping their users get access to needed financing.

Stripe's global Product Sales team is at the forefront of driving revenue and growth. We're known for our product expertise, rigorous thinking, and user-first approach to problem solving. Within Stripe, Product Sales proudly serves as a critical source of user feedback and market intelligence, with direct influence on Stripe’s product roadmap and growth strategy.

What you’ll do

As a Capital Product Account Executive at Stripe, you will use your sales and product expertise to help drive growth of the Capital for Platforms offering, with a primary focus on new customer acquisition. You will create and execute a territory plan, lead outbound prospecting, develop relationships with prospective customers, and build a strong pipeline of qualified Capital opportunities.

You will partner with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and other go-to-market teams to lead strategic deals from initial outreach through activation. You'll run in-depth product conversations with prospective and existing customers and help shape go-to-market strategy for new products.

You build relationships naturally across customers and internal stakeholders, including executives. You know how to create demand, build value in competitive situations, and move complex opportunities forward. You combine deep product instinct with technical curiosity and you're energized by becoming the expert others turn to.

Responsibilities

  • Be accountable for driving revenue by acquiring new marketplace and platform customers.
  • Lead outbound prospecting efforts, create qualified pipeline, and develop opportunities from initial outreach through contract and activation.
  • Identify customer and industry signals that indicate a strong fit for Capital, and develop tailored account strategies based on those signals.
  • Partner with core Account Executives and other Product Account Executives to open new customer relationships and position Capital as an entry point to the broader Stripe platform.  Lead discussions with our largest prospective customers.
  • Develop trusted relationships across complex buying groups, including executive, product, finance, technical, legal, and procurement stakeholders.
  • Build a strong understanding of the competitive landscape and communicate the value of Stripe Capital.
  • Contribute to the development of go-to-market playbooks alongside Product, Marketing, Sales, and Technical Services stakeholders.
  • Serve as both an internal and customer-facing expert on Stripe’s Capital product.
  • Use Stripe’s wide-ranging payments expertise and market insights to create product narratives supported by rigorous analysis.

Who you are

We're looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.

Minimum requirements

  • At least 6 years of client-facing experience at a leading technology, payments, financial services, or management consulting firm.
  • A track record of creating outbound pipeline, acquiring new customers, and progressing complex opportunities through the full sales cycle.
  • Experience developing and executing territory and account plans with a high degree of independence.
  • Experience leading complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles, ideally with enterprise customers or platforms.
  • Experience presenting to and building trusted relationships with senior business leaders.
  • The ability to work effectively through ambiguity and thrive in an unstructured, fast-moving environment.
  • An enthusiastic, hands-on approach to developing new opportunities and solving customer problems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
