About this role

Who we are

About Stripe

Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies—from the world’s largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups—use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone’s reach while doing the most important work of your career.

What you’ll do

Stripe is growing its Enterprise sales team in Mexico City. As an Account Executive, you will own a blended, full-lifecycle sales motion: building new strategic relationships while expanding Stripe’s impact within existing enterprise accounts.

You will lead complex opportunities from prospecting and discovery through business-case development, solution design, commercial negotiation, close, and long-term account growth. This role requires the ability to earn credibility with executive, technical, product, risk, and commercial stakeholders, while bringing together Stripe partners across Sales, Solutions Architecture, and other cross-functional teams.

This is an opportunity to help deepen Stripe’s enterprise presence in Mexico, with an expected focus on retail and other strategic businesses. You will be a consultative partner to customers, helping them solve complex business and technical problems with Stripe’s payments and financial-infrastructure platform.

Responsibilities

  • Own the full sales cycle for a portfolio of strategic enterprise prospects and customers—from prospecting and discovery through negotiation, close, and ongoing account development.
  • Develop and execute long-term territory and account strategies that create new business and expand Stripe’s footprint within existing customers.
  • Build strong relationships with executive stakeholders and develop a deep understanding of their business, technical, and payments priorities.
  • Identify, qualify, and develop new enterprise opportunities; create compelling business cases that connect customer needs to Stripe’s products and capabilities.
  • Partner closely with Solutions Architecture, Product, Risk, Legal, and other internal teams to align on customer requirements and deliver thoughtful solutions.
  • Navigate complex buying processes involving multiple technical, commercial, product, and executive stakeholders.
  • Lead deal strategy, commercial structuring, and negotiations for sophisticated enterprise agreements.
  • Maintain rigorous account plans, stakeholder maps, pipeline discipline, and forecasting.
  • Contribute to the development of Stripe’s sales process, customer strategy, and growing sales culture in Mexico.

Who you are

We’re looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.

Minimum requirements

  • 7+ years of quota-carrying B2B sales experience, with a track record of strong performance in complex sales environments.
  • Experience owning end-to-end sales cycles, including prospecting, discovery, business-case development, negotiation, and close.
  • Demonstrated ability to sell complex products or solutions to enterprise customers and navigate multi-stakeholder buying processes.
  • Experience developing account and territory plans, building executive relationships, and identifying expansion opportunities.
  • Ability to understand technical requirements and translate them into clear customer value.
  • Strong commercial judgment and experience supporting or leading complex negotiations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Spanish and English.
  • Strong presentation and stakeholder-management skills, including in-person and virtual meetings with senior audiences.
  • A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of internal and external partners.
  • Comfort operating in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment and helping build a growing market.
  • Strong interest in technology, payments, financial infrastructure, or complex enterprise software.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience selling payments, fintech, technical SaaS, cloud or data infrastructure, developer tools, or related enterprise technology.
  • Experience selling into retail, e-commerce, marketplaces, or other complex digital businesses.
  • Experience managing both new-logo acquisition and expansion within existing enterprise accounts.
  • Familiarity with Mexico’s payments or broader financial-services ecosystem.

This role is based in Mexico City, Mexico and will be operating on a hybrid in-office schedule. (3 days per week).
