Join us as Head of Anti-Financial Crime Compliance (AFCC) – France, based in Paris, to lead a pivotal evolution of our AFC function. You will secure the quality of our high-risk customer decisions while building more scalable KYC/KYB processes and establishing the team as a trusted second-line partner to Product.

You will work closely with Florence, who leads the broader AFC Compliance function, and manage a team of AFC specialists covering AML KYB/C and Sanctions. Your work will directly shape how Qonto translates evolving French and European AML/CFT requirements into safe, efficient and customer-focused products and processes.

As Head of AFCC – France at Qonto, you will

• Own high-risk customer governance: Ensure sound, timely and well-documented decisions across Enhanced Due Diligence, high-risk customer approvals and periodic reviews

• Strengthen our KYC/KYB framework: Translate evolving French and European AML/CFT requirements into clear policies, guidelines, questionnaires, controls and operational processes

• Advise Product on AFC risk: Assess new features and customer journeys, provide clear second-line recommendations and help teams design workable, compliant solutions

• Build more scalable ways of working: Move the team progressively from production-heavy activities toward process ownership, continuous improvement and controlled automation

• Lead and grow the team: Set priorities, raise the bar on regulatory judgment and develop specialists with different levels of experience

About your future manager

You will report to Florence, who leads the broader AFC Compliance function. She values strong regulatory judgment, pragmatism and the ability to turn complex requirements into clear, actionable decisions. She is looking for a hands-on leader who can raise the team’s expertise while building a constructive partnership with Product and Operations.

About You

• AFC expertise: You bring significant hands-on experience in AML/CFT, KYC/KYB, EDD, high-risk customer decisions and periodic reviews within a regulated financial institution or fintech

• Second-line judgment: You have interpreted French and European requirements and used them to define policies, guidelines or controls — not only to apply existing procedures

• Product partnership: You can explain complex AFC topics clearly, challenge constructively and translate regulatory constraints into implementable solutions

• Leadership and improvement mindset: You have led people, experts or complex initiatives and know how to improve processes without compromising regulatory quality

• Languages: You are fluent in both French and English
